Any decision to race, postpone or abandon racing will be made by any two members of the Race Committee in consultation with either the General Manager or Sailing Committee Chairperson. 2. A decision to race on any given day does not relieve any competitor of his/her obligation under RRS Fundamental Rule For regular Saturday Northern and Southern Course racing the decision to race, postpone or abandon will not be made before 1100 hours on the day of the race unless circumstances dictate that an earlier decision would be appropriate noting: a. Racing will not be started if there is a current Gale (or higher), Tsunami or other severe weather warning that will impact the race area. b. Racing may be started if there is a Strong Wind Warning in the race area. c. Races will only be abandoned after careful consideration of all weather conditions and their likely impact on the course area(s). AMENDMENT #5 CHANGE TO PROGRAM FOR SATURDAY 21 MARCH Due to the 18 Skiff Nationals being held on Waterloo Bay on Saturday 21 March 2015; the following changes to Attachment A to the Sailing Instructions will occur: a. NORTHERN COURSE: Etchells & Hobies will sail on the Eastern Course. b. NORTHERN COURSE: Allboats & Contenders will sail on the Southern Course. c. SOUTHERN COURSE: Slalom Sprints have been cancelled. Two races (Races 48 & 49) sailing the standard course will be sailed. All subsequent Page 7 of 8
