Attendance: Members: 32 / Guests: 1 Francisco Cisco Lastra Secretary s Report: Bob Lowenstein Minutes published in newsletter - APPROVED Treasurer s report: Sandy Mendia $3, Please submit any outstanding bills or membership questions to Sandy. **URGENT** If YOU have NOT paid your 2018 DUES ($40.00), they are OVERDUE!! Your membership will be dropped and NO PICNIC INVITATION. To pay or verify that they have been paid, contact Sandy ASAP!! Recognition / Merit Awards Gary Ryan 2018 season started October 1, 2017 and ends September 30, Remember to submit your name & category at monthly meetings. Be a good Jugger and submit your fellow Juggers name if they are not able to attend the monthly meeting. Chaplin Ryan Gary delivered a great and meaningful sermon for all to ponder. Our club is built on strong friendships and the love of horsepower. Need help, don t be shy to ask, there is a pleather of knowledge and able hands available. History - Jim Powers. Jim s topic was drag race history in Belmont, CA. The Shrank Bros., Jim Laing, Kent Fuller & others all along Old County Road. Car Show Committee Fred Seib. Firehouse Car Show #14 June 23 rd. Over 25 cars and over 75 attendees!! Was a terrific day and besides showing cars, attendees donated toys for the Toys for Tots program, Christmas in June!! Great hospitality, cold beverages and awesome Fried Chicken (prepared by Fred s Mom), it was a HUGE SUCCESS. A motion was made and passed to donate $300 to Fred & Kris to help offset costs of this worthwhile event. Picnic Committee Steve O Brien Annual Family Picnic will be held on OCTOBER 13 th, at Flood Park in Menlo Park. Volunteer are needed, and a sign-up sheet was passed around. ** More volunteers are still needed so please volunteer at the upcoming meeting or contact Steve. Registration forms were provided. This is a fun FAMILY event with lots of activities for young and old. **Registration & Volunteer Sign Up attached. Juggers Club Wear Eddie Kucker The Juggers Store was open!!! When you see Eddie, shake the man s hand for hauling around all the merchandise for the convenience of the members. Web Page Jessica Monroe -Working on constructing a new Web Site. The old site is still active. Thanks to John Lewis, the Newsletters, Race Reports & other pertinent information is published and has been kept up-to-date. Full of history and great video interviews from some of our founding members. To contribute something, contact John at juggers@juggersracingteam.com

2 Facebook: We have a fantastic Facebook page that we encourage our members to utilize. There are great photos, racing information, and other interesting matters. Always entertaining and informative too! Old Business: John Lewis gave an update of the implantation of the Wednesday Night Drags at Sonoma for the Juggers donation for High School Class Awards. Also, Gary Ryan and Steve O Brien met with Kyle and discussed other ideas as to award the teens, i.e., other than awarding the winner of the class, to give award to best E.T., fastest car, etc. Juggers are getting great kudos for the teen program. New Business: In addition to monetary donation to the High School Program at Sonoma, John Lewis made a motion to present trophies to the teen winners. K.C. & Bob donated five trophies to start. Approximately $150 would be required to buy additional trophies to get through the racing season. MOTION PASSED New Member: NONE Application: Francisco Cisco Lastra, Round Table / Race Report Steve O Brien experienced his first official drag race with Gary Ryan as his mentor as well as driving Gary s Impala at the Wednesday Night Drags at Sonoma. Steve had a blast and is still smiling from the experience, a whole lot different seeing the Christmas Tree from inside the car! Gary encouraged other to come out with their cars aka Granny s car and race on Wednesday nights. Also, possibly setting a Juggers Night. Jessica Munro had a mishap with a dirt bike and unfortunately, the dirt bike won. A Get Well Soon card was passed around to be sent to Jessica!! The Santa Clara Corvette Auto Cross has been set for July 14 & 15, at Marina Airport in Monterey. Still working on getting other venues to race at. K.C thanked all the Juggers that came out to Modesto to support Matt Lowenstein at the Rib Cook Off. Matt was just a few votes short to win the People Choice Award and is still waiting to hear where he official placed. The BBQ Guy did a fantastic job and his ribs were finger licking good. Jim Powers has extra space at the Good Guys Swap Meet. If you have stuff to sell, contact Jim. Interest in a Rebuilt 396, contact Gary Ryan. A great story was told about boat drag races..
