October 7, 2017 at Huddart Park in Woodside. Registration form attached to Attendance: 28 members and 1 visitor the newsletter. Bill Galli volunteered to Nathan Ornelas, the Mendia's grandson. make a grill that could be used at future picnics and races. We need more info!!! Secretary s Report: Accepted Treasurer s report: Sandy Mendia $5, Membership Dues are now very OVERDUE. $40.00 PAY TODAY!! Mail check made out to Juggers to: SANDY MENDIA, Treasurer 1175 Wilhelmina Way San Jose, CA Correspondence John Lewis reported that Jim McCombe has contact info for other old clubs that would like to get together for an event. Juggers present voted to get the contact info. Sandy Mendia reported that Harold Hungerford is selling the Li'l Ole Lady. (See attachment at the end of the newsletter.) NEW CLUB juggers@juggersracingteam.com Safety Committee John Lewis no new safety amendments. Car Show Committee Fred Seib Aug is the Goodguys at Pleasanton. Aug 19-7th Annual Millbrae Machines Car Show. Gary Ryan will check on date for Gottelli's Car Show. Report on Fred's Firehouse Show: Gary Ryan won the Art Dept. Award. John Lewis won the Juggers Award. Mike McClure won the Best Accessory Award. Juggers Club Wear Eddie Kucker Trying to clear out some of the old inventory so he can order new items. FACEBOOK FANS. 2 Juggers Racing Team August Newsletter Cont d Round Table Unusual & Usual Suspects - It has only taken 32 years, but Rocky Rhoads' car is on the road! There will be an auto-x at the Cow Palace August 26 & 27, put on by Santa Clara Corvettes. Come on out and check the action. Admission is free. If you want to race, you will get 5 runs for $45. ALL cars are welcome. Thanks to Round Table for their generosity in providing a Gift Card for the JBT Raffle! 5 Dianna Munro's Race Report from the 2017 Sonoma Nationals Well this race report is more like, Look who I saw! First and foremost, a HUGE THANK YOU to Sabrina and John Pecora for putting on a fabulous Nostalgia car show and Cacklefest that complimented the NHRA Sonoma Nationals so well. The race cars were set up in the garage early and then it was time to enjoy the nice weather and the amazing view from our camp spot. The Champ, Gary Ryan, came by and gave the engine in Black Magic a little polish before the show. We saw Ruth and Don, The Pecoras, Jim and Diane Laing all on display in the garage. I saw Little City CUDA s Chris Morrell with the driver of the Bill Miller Top Fuel Dragster Troy Buff! Some of you may remember or maybe no one cared that when I first met Troy, he was with his Mom and Dad at Bakersfield and I somehow lost the website address of this amazing picture of Troy s Mom back in the day. Well I was able to talk to Troy again and tell him I missed his Momma and got the website address. Troy s Mom is one awesome character! I have attached the photo from the Six Flags Dragway website.

6 I just LOVE the photo and will probably make a print to hang on the wall it is so classic. Rat Fink, Drew (a Future Jugger), rolled out a car for the Cacklefest. The crowd loved it!! Cub Barnett was seen giving advice to the 2016 Funny Car Champion, Ron Capps. On Saturday I was walking by the Lincoln Welder Tent and I saw Terry Lindblad and driver of the Bad Moon Rising Jeff Brochheuser smoozing it up in the VIP tent. Guess who crashed the VIP tent? ME!! I enjoyed calling Greg to tell them that I was in the VIP tent enjoying myself with some

7 friends. He promptly left his General Admission seats to come see what was going on in the VIP tent. Steve O Brien was also seen near the VIP tent. This was Jessica s first time at an NHRA event. She was over the moon with excitement. We took as many pictures as we could with as many famous drivers as possible. I have never seen Jessica at a loss for words but when she met motorcycle rider, Jerry Savoise, she was SPEECHLESS! Of course I did not get a picture of that..

8 We had our customary Juggers gathering back at camp. We were not as prepared as usual. We only had a handful of Juggers so we only cooked a ¼ of a cow. Look out for the lady with the knife! She scares me, whatever she said I did!!!! JBT Bonneville Group sent these pictures from the Salt Flats. Looking forward to hearing all about the experience at the meeting this Thursday night!
