2 THE CLASSIC BRUNCH FRIDAY JANUARY 18, Premier Speedway will be holding a Classic Brunch on Friday January 18, at e Flying Horse Bar and Brewery, Raglan Parade (Opposite e Home Maker Centre and adjacent to McDonald s East), Warrnambool commencing at 9.0am and concluding at 11.00am. Wi an entourage of guest speakers and industry newsmakers is is one of e many jewels in e Classic weekend, so please come along and enjoy a full breakfast, and have a lot of fun for only $25.00 per person. THE FAN APPRECIATION DAY SATURDAY JANUARY 19, The Fan Appreciation Day will be held on Satuay morning at e Flying Horse Bar and Brewery Raglan Parade, Warrnambool from.00am until midday. Premier Speedway will be conducting a draw for all drivers present between.00am and midday wi first prize being ree right rear tyres, second prize is two right rear tyres and i prize is one right rear tyre. We appreciate at teams will be working on cars ready for e second night of racing, but we only need e driver present to be eligible for e draw. 3 FORMAT NIGHT ONE The following format is based on up to 80 plus cars and will be subject to variation dependent on e number of entries. Drivers will be seeded into groups of four and en divided in two groups, one group to qualify on Friday January 18, and e oer to qualify on Satuay January 19,. On eir respective qualifying night all cars will en be divided into two flights of qualifying. Drivers will be required to time trial in eir pairs and will have two qualifying laps wi eir fastest lap recoed to form heat draws. Any car unable to take time under it s own power (wiout any outside assistance including push vehicles) will be deemed to have not taken time. All cars must complete a minimum of one completed qualifying lap under power and wiout assistance from any oer vehicle or persons to be eligible for qualifying points. Any car unable to take time will receive e lowest place qualifying points. During e marble draw groups in each flight will get e same number. For example if Group 1 in Flight 1, draws 1, en group Group 1 in Flight 2 will also qualify from 1. A coin toss will determine which group is allocated flight one and which is allocated flight two. Flight One (1) will seed cars for heat 1, 2 and, while Flight Two (2) will seed cars for heats 4, 5 and 6. There will be two rounds of heats subject to e number of entries. Heats will have a minimum of eight (8) cars while a maximum of 12 cars will make e heat race inversion. All heats will be laps. The first round of heats on each of e first two nights of competition, will be determined by e fastest qualifier to e front of heat one, second fastest to e front of heat 2 etc. The second round of heats will be determined by inverting e first round draw and moving rows to different heats. These inversions will take place wiin each Flight from qualifying. At e completion of e heats, qualifying and heat points will be combined and tallied, wi Flight One cars to form e inside row for Mains and Flight Two e outside row. This will form e fields for e qualifying night A, B and C Mains. C MAIN: The C Main will be for cars qualifying 19 to 2 from each flight. Cars from flight one will make up e inside row and Cars from flight two e outside row. The race will be over 15 laps. The first four (4) place getters will go to e rear of e B Main and take up positions 15, 16, 1 and 18 (No reserves). To split cars tied on points e recoed Gap from qualifying will be used. No emergencies will be required for e C-Main. B MAIN: The B Main will be for cars qualifying 11 to 18 from each flight. Cars from flight one will make up e inside row and Cars from flight two e outside row. The race will be over 20 laps. No Emergencies will be required for e Australia-America Challenge Cup. Cars transferring from e B-Main will line up in finishing oer. 5 FORMAT NIGHT THREE The final night of competition will be limited to 96 cars (e top 48 in points from each qualifying night). Engines starts will commence e program, wi hot laps to be conducted prior to forming up for heat races. There will be one round of heats based on points scored from each of e respective qualifying nights. A random draw (coin toss) will determine wheer cars from night one fill heat races 1 to 4 or 5 to 8. The round of heats will include an inversion of eight (8), us meaning e high points scorer from Night One will start from position 8 in heat one, second high points from position 8 in heat two etc. The high points scorer from Night Two will start from position 8 in heat 5, second high from Night Two from position eight in heat six etc. Points will be awaed as per e qualifying nights points structure and will contribute to determining e starting positions for e feature events. D MAIN: ( LAPS, 16 CARS) Should e car count warrant and time permit a D-Main (or any additional mains on e final night of e Classic) will be contested. In e case of e D-Main it will consist of a maximum of 12 cars over laps, wi ose cars finishing first and i progressing to C Main 1 and ose cars finishing second and four progressing to C-Main 2. The inside row of e D-Main will be made up of ose cars 4 to 48 in points from Night One, while e outside row will be ose cars 4 to 48 in points from e Night Two side of e draw.to split cars tied on points e recoed Gap from qualifying will be used. No emergencies will be required for e D-Main. C MAIN 1: (15 LAPS, 18 CARS) C Main 1 will be for Night One qualifying cars positioned 25 in points rough to 40 in points. Positions 1 and 18 on e grid will be filled by e and place getters of e D-Main. If e scheduled D Main is cancelled prior to e C Main, ose 4 and 4 in points from Night One will automatically fill ose positions. The race will be contested over 15 laps. To split cars tied on points e recoed Gap from qualifying will be used. No emergencies will be required for e C-Main 1. C MAIN 2: (15 LAPS, 18 CARS) C Main 2 will be for Night Two qualifying cars positioned 25 in points rough to 4 in points. Positions 1 and 18 on e grid will be filled by e and 4 place getters of e D-Main. If e scheduled D Main is cancelled prior to e C Main, ose 4 and 4 in points from Night Two will automatically fill ose positions. The race will be contested over 15 laps. To split cars tied on points e recoed Gap from qualifying will be used. No emergencies will be required for e C-Main 2. B MAIN 1: (20 LAPS,20 CARS) B Main 1 will be for Night One qualifying cars positioned 9 in points rough to 24 in points. Positions 1, 18, 19 and 20 on e grid will be filled by e first four cars in finishing oer from C Main 1. The first four finishers in B Main 1 will fill positions 1, 19, 21 and 2 respectively in e Classic A-Main. The car finishing 5 in B-Main 1 will be e first of two reserves for e A-Main. To split cars tied on points e recoed Gap from qualifying will be used. The race will be contested over 20 laps. No emergencies will be required for e B-Main 1. B MAIN 2: (20 LAPS, 20 CARS) B Main 2 will be for Night Two qualifying cars positioned 9 in points rough to 24 in points. Positions 1, 18, 19 and 20 on e grid will be filled by e first four cars in finishing oer from C Main 2. The first four finishers in B Main 2 will fill positions 18, 20, 22 and 24 respectively in e Classic A-Main. The car finishing 5 in B-Main 2 will be e second of two reserves for e A-Main. To split cars tied on points e recoed Gap from qualifying will be used. The race will be contested over 20 laps. No emergencies will be required for e B-Main 2. THE CLASSIC FINAL: (40 LAPS, 24 CARS) The Classic final will be conducted over forty (40) laps wi positions 1 to 16 taken by e 8 (16 in total) highest point scorers from each side of e draw. The cars from Night One (Heats 1 to 4) will make up e inside row, cars from Night Two (Heat 5 to 8) will make up e outside row. The first four place getters from B Main 1 will fill positions 1, 19, 21 & 2. The first four place getters from B Main 2 will fill positions 18, 20, 22 and 24. All B-Main Transfers will line up in finishing oer. Of e two cars sharing e front row, e overall highest points scorer will be given e option of lane choice. The drivers finishing fif in B Main 1 and B Main 2 will be e first and second reserves respectively. Reserves will take eir place at e rear of e field at e discretion of e stewas if ere is a race stoppage and no racing laps have been recoed. 8 PREMIER SPEEDWAY CLUB SUB REGULATIONS FOR THE GRAND ANNUAL SPRINTCAR CLASSIC PAGE 08 All vehicles must comply wi all SCCA specifications as per e current SCCA rules and regulations (engine capacity not to exceed 4ci). Racing will be conducted under e rules of e SCCA, and Premier Speedway sub regulations. Any driver at does not exit e track between turns 2 and in time trials immediately after ey have passed e chequered flag will have eir fastest lap discounted and eir next fastest lap will be e time at is recognised for scoring purposes. No vehicle to exceed a noise level of 95 dba (Muffler requirements: The Hurricane (part number HPM-0289 inch outlet; Spintech Series 1545 inch outlet and/or Flowmaster series inch outlet. Cars may be random bubble tested at any time during e event. Our Sponsors Logo Sticker may be provided for all cars and will be required to be attached very prominently onto e top wing. You agree at any image of your race car or yourself wheer electronic or photographic may be used for promotional purposes by e Premier Speedway Club in any way ey see fit for it to be used. The first ree place getters in e Classic and e Knoxville World Challenge qualifier will be required to make emselves available to e media at e completion of e Classic for interviews, photographs and T.V. coverage. Premier Speedway Club reserves e right to alter e race format should any unforeseen circumstance occur ie. Weaer, increased or decreased competitor entries, time restraints. Failure to sign on at e driver roll calls to be held each day will result in a rear of field start for bo heats of at night. Prize money and tow money will be paid by EFT in e week after e event. Owners or drivers registered for GST will be provided wi a recipient created tax invoice wi eir payment. Accurate account information must be provided on e attached entry form Tow money will only be paid to cars entered by e official closing date. All cars will be weighed randomly over e weekend. The first five place getters in each night s feature will be also be weighed. Top 5 place getters in Sunday nights Classic Final will also have eir motors measured. All cars will be weighed prior to racing on e first night. Pit admission is $0.00 per person (per day) wi discounted admission of $40.00 to all who meet e minimum entry requirements. This is inclusive of an Ambulance Levy. Please see e Premier Speedway website for more information. A current SCCA license is required by all drivers. It is required at anyone riding a quad bike or similar wear a crash helmet at meets e AS1698 Safety Standa as outlined in e Australian Speedway Racing Rules and Regulations. In e event of eier night being cancelled due to rain or any oer circumstance, prize money will not be paid in full to any competitor unless e programmed first eight events have been completed. If more an eight events have been run e top 18 point scorers will share e A Main prize pool, e next 16 will share e B Main prize pool and e next 16 will share e C Main prize pool. The point scores will be taken from e last completed round of heats. At e stewas discretion any driver whose best time trial time exceeds 1% of e fastest time trial time of e night may be asked to run from e rear of e heats for e complete meeting. All Sprintcars competing at is venue will be required to be fitted wi an AMB transponder for e purpose of lap scoring and timing in all events. Hire transponders are available at a cost of $0 inc. GST per night. Transponders not purchased rough e System Operator at our venue will incur a service fee of $15 (incl. of GST) per night. $150 nomination fee or late entry fee must be received by Premier Speedway before e entry is accepted. IMPORTANT If you have not confirmed your nomination at e nomination box by.00pm on Satuay and.0pm on Sunday you will be placed rear of field for your heats as we need confirmed nominations for heat draws. There will be 24 cars start in e Australia - America Challenge Cup feature on bo Friday and Satuay night. There will be 24 cars start in e Sou West Conveyancing Classic Feature on Sunday night. All teams utilising semi trailer or B-double transporters may be asked to co-operate wi Pit Marshalls wi regas to requests for Prime Movers to be separated from trailers. Teams affected will be advised prior. RAIN POLICY: Should one or eier of e programmed days be lost due to rain, or anoer unforeseen circumstance, e following is an alternative date, Monday January 2, should e event not be able to reach completion on Sunday January 20,. 9 PREMIER SPEEDWAY CLUB SUB REGULATIONS FOR THE GRAND ANNUAL SPRINTCAR CLASSIC - CONTINUED MONDAY JANUARY 21ST, : Should any night of e Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic be cancelled, management reserve e right to re-schedule e program. Should e Sunday night program be cancelled, management reserve e right to run e program Monday at a time to be advised. Management will do everying in eir power to ensure e Classic is completed on Sunday January 20,. PIT RULES The following are e rules which should apply to e pit area. Any breach of ese rules by e driver or his crew may result in exclusion of e driver from e pits and racing and may also result in furer action from e meeting officials. i) There is to be no drinking of alcohol eier at least 12 hours before or during e meeting and glass containers must not be used at any time in pit areas. ii) iii) iv) No intoxicated persons or persons under e influence of drugs are allowed in e pits or track area. Smoking is not permitted in e pit area wi e exception of designated areas. Minimum dress requirements are shorts, short sleeved shirt or t-shirt and covered shoes. Open shoes must not be worn in pit area. For people working on cars in pit area shorts should cover knees. v) Axle stands must be used at all times if a person is working under a car. vi) vii) Any fuel brought into e pit area must be stored in an approved container. Cars in e pits must be driven at a speed not exceeding a reasonable walking pace at all times. viii) Quad bikes must only ever be ridden at a speed not exceeding a brisk walking pace wiin e speedway complex. A helmet complying wi AS1698 as minimum standa (may be open face helmet) must be worn by rider. ix) No riding on cars or additional people on quads; only riders permitted on quads. x) Children are not permitted in e pit area under e age of 16 years. The exception to is rule: Children aged 12 to 15 years whom possess approved Personal Accident Insurance. xi) xii) xiii) Children aged and 11 whom possess approved Personal Accident Insurance and are actively competing in e race meeting. No push starting of Sprintcars, Speedcars or any class of car wi or wiout a clutch in any part of pit area. Minimum standas for fire and first aid response must be in place before engine starts. Drivers must have permission from pit marshal or race director for push starts on race track prior to and during race meetings. xiv) All cars must be scrutineered prior to practice or racing. xv) Full racing safety gear must be worn for all engine starts, practice and racing including helmets, cloing, gloves, neck collar and all belts must be tightened. xvi) Drivers and crew must follow directions of speedway, fire and ambulance officials at all times. xvii) Any person who has been injured at race meeting must report e incident to e secretary of e race meeting on e day of e meeting. xviii) Any person having problems in e pits should bring em to e attention of e Pit Marshall immediately. xix) Abusive behaviour or misconduct is not to be tolerated and any incident must be reported to e Chief Stewa immediately. xx) Cars at have widrawn from racing should advise e Pit Marshall as soon as possible. ANY VIOLATION OF PIT RULES BY DRIVERS, CREWS OR ASSOCIATED MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC MAY RESULT IN CANCELLATION OF TOW MONEY/PRIZE MONEY AT THE HOST CLUBS DISCRETION.
