5 May Meeting Minutes New Business Trailer repaint to be finished by May 11 event at Tavares Trailer graphics example was passed around for general viewing Locations for graphics will be as follows: larger graphics on sides, smaller on front of trailer Laminated vs cut versions for the exterior graphics were discussed for color, size and longevity laminated approve by vote Laminated cost and timeframe for installation by Bizcard were discussed both approved by vote Exterior monitor box for trailer was discussed; size, securing, pricing discussed Slogans for the club were discussed, as well as member pics being placed on side of trailer Web address location on trailer s exterior was also discussed Sebring on May17-18 discussed; trailer assistance was requested, as well as volunteers to help out; MSCC volunteers would be free - Autocross Event Cancelled Members-only section of the Forum was discussed Request was made for Final Bylaws to be sent via to all members Jon Wright requested Membership and was approved Swap Time Justin Cady has a set of Hyperco Springs, 6 x2.5, 500lbs = $100 50/50 drawing Won by Karlene Hartin (?) That is because no one took any pictures at the May event. If you want pictures to appear in the Pit Patter, take some pictures! Otherwise you will be seeing nothing but my car grace the cover of the Pit Patter from now until the end of the year. Yes, it is an awesome looking machine, but I would rather see some variety. Take pictures! You will also note there is no Race Report. I am sure that Matt and Gerardo are not the only members of this club who know how to write. Next month try your hand at writing the Race Report, then it to me at: bfoschini@yahoo.com. Otherwise the Pit Patter is going to continue to be thin and boring. Don t let that happen! 5

9 Event Host Responsibilities REMINDER - All members are required to host an event each year. If you are an active member please get with Zane Plumley and sign up to host an event. So, once is expected of an Event Host? 1. Design course map, and have submitted to board by the executive board meeting (last Thursday of the month). 2. Provide course maps for racers at the event. 3. Draw course map on big white board at the event or have large printout posted on trailer. 4. Arrive early to the event (7am, earlier if tire change is necessary) 5. Block off parking and spectator area, if necessary. This should be completed from Board approval papers. 6. Unload and setup the trailer (except for timing, radio, PA) 7. Setup the course. Find V.P. and have safety walkthrough performed as soon as ready. 8. Setup the course worker stations. Fire Extinguisher, Red flag, Course station number. 9. Host the drivers meeting. 10. Fill in for worker positions, as needed. 11. Adjust the number of runs, as needed. 12. Determine Fun run plausibility. 13. Load trailer and make sure venue is fully cleaned up. 9
