COMPETITION VENUE:The World Championships will take place in the TAKIKAWA SKYPARK, Nakajima-chō City TAKIKAWA HOKKAIDO JAPAN. Takikawa is located in central part of Hokkaido Island. COMPETITION VENUE OVERALL VIEW. The airport stands over a surface of 1800 300m surrounded by small houses and farmers fields. The main services are along the internal area of the airport.

5 PARTICIPANTS:Active NAC/Federation may enter in each class, a Team consisting of 3 senior and 1 junior competitors, a Team manager, Assistant team manager, Official helpers, and other representatives. The reigning World Champions are entitled to participate to defend their titles. FAI SPORTING LICENSE:Each Competitor, Team Manager/Assistant Team Manager/Assistant Team Manager must possess a FAI Sporting license valid at the entry time for the year The licenses must be registered in the FAI license database. The holder of a FAI sporting license may be required to produce an official document bearing his photograph and signature as proof of identity. ANTI-DOPING:Competitors taking for medical reasons,any of the substances listed on the WADA Prohibited List must have a valid Therapeutic Use Exemption(TUE)certificate from the FAI. PROTEST:Any protest must be presented in writing to the Contest Director and must be accompanied by the deposit of a fee 50 Euros. The deposit is returned only if the protest is upheld. 6 TIMEKEEPER:Each participating country may enter one Timekeeper. The intention to enter a timekeeper must be registered by the entry form. The timekeeper shall act in all contest days, May attend the briefings but not the Team managers meeting, bring the requested own equipmentsand follow organizational instructions. REIGNING CHAMPIONS: The reigning Champions 2016: - Johannes Starzinger, class F5B (Austria)and - Tomas Andrlik, class F5D (Czech Republic), are invited to participate. The reigning champiton have the right (subjet to the approval of their NAC) to participate in the Championships in that category regardless of whether or not he qualifies for the national team. If he is not a member of the national team, his score will not be considered in the Team results. CLASSIFICATION AND AWARDS: FAI medals and diplomas to the first three best competitors placed in the individual ranking and to the competitors and the team manager of the first three best Teams. FAI TROPHIES: The following trophies will also be awarded: - F5B Puffin Models of Bristol Trophy, present holder Austria s Champion Mr. Johannes Starzinger, - F5D The British Electric Flying Association Trophy, present holder Czech Republic s Champion,Tomas Andrlik. JUNIOR CLASSIFICATION : As said above FAI medals and FAI Diplomas will be awarded to the competitors placed first, second and third. A separated Junior classification and the first three best competitors will be awarded. If there will be at least four juniors competing among four team in the same class, the winner shall earn the title of Junior World or Continental Champion in the class. SCORING: Scores will promptly and progressively displayed on a board at the flying site and daily uploaded on the web-site during the Championships. FLAGS AND ANTHEMS: All team managers are requested to carry on their Country flag and Anthem to be supplied to the organizer. These will be returned at the end of Championships. MEDICAL ASSISTANCE: During the World Championships emergency medical service is available at the field. Takikawa city hospital is five minutes away from the field. EQUIPMENTS ON THE FIELD:A tent will be available to each Team in both classes with table and chairs. Electricity connections will be available at two power stations located on the field closed to each class tents, to charge batteries by AC power 100 Volts 50 Hz, max 15A. Sockets are Japanese standards. 6

PRELIMINARY ENTRIES: NACs / Federations are kindly asked to send the preliminary entry forms (see attached forms) on or before Feb 28th, ENTRY DEAD LINE April 30th ENTRY FEES should be paid in EURO only by bank transfer to the bank account mention below, Payment by check is not accepted. The bank transfer charge is on the sender. Late payments will be subject to surcharge as follow. May 1st to May 31st 10% surchage June 1st to June 30th 15% surchage No entry fee will be accepted after June 30th if not authorized in writing by organizer and only on exceptional circumstance the surcharge will be 20% of the entry fee. 9 ACCOMMODATION: There are two western style hotels in Takikawa. 1.HOTEL MIURA KAEN 2.HOTEL SUEHIRO Unfortunately both hotels reception does not speak English at this moment (We will have someone during the WCH)it is difficult to make reservation on web or if you don t understand Japanese. To make reservation easy, we ve made arrangement with both hotels to keep 50 rooms each for us until the end of March. After this period we will lose this arrangement and will be very difficult to find a room in Takikawa. Takikawa area in summer time has many sports event and all hotels become fully booked. However Sapporo(capital city of Hokkaido)and Asahikawa (second largest city)are 60min drive away and plenty good hotels with English web-site. Please send your accommodation request sheet before the end of March to contact person. No super alcoholic drinks will be available andadmittede during the competition. 11

13 Average half - board (breakfast included) accommodation cost in the Takikawa area is accessed to be 65 Euro / person / day. CAMPING / CAMPERING: no camping INSURANCE: The organizer will provide a limited third-party liability insurance covering all competitors for model acidentsinvolving injury to others and damage to property. It is recommendable however that each competitor had his own insurance against third parties damages and injuries. It is also recommended that individual health and travel insurance is purchased by each participant before travelling. Radio requirements Japan has different and very strict radio regulations. Under the current Japanese radio regulation, 2.4GHz RC radio Equipmentswithout Japanese technical regulations conformity certification are illegal to use. Following are the lists of approved radio equipments: - Futaba (all models except some onboard type models) - JR (all models except some onboard type models) - Sanwa,Airtronic (all models) - Jeti (DS14,DS16) - Graupner(MZ18,MZ24) Team Mangers with competitors whose radios are not in the approved list, should contact the event organizer as soon as possible for special arrangement. TELEMETRY LOGGER AND ENERGY LIMITTER: All competitors shall accept to install the Telemetry logger supplied by the organizer on their models F5B as well as the Energy limiter on their F5D models. 13

14 MODEL AIRCRAFT SPECIFICATION CERTIFICATE: All models must be processed by the competitor s NAC in accordance with CIAM General Rules C.12 rules. Model aircraft not properly processed by their NAC, with FAI certificate and stickers will be processed by the organizer at a cost of 8 Euro for each model ( Refer to CIAM General Rules C.12 b). During model processing a sticker will be applied on detachable parts of the model.these model/s can only be used during competition. PRACTICE SITE:The contest venue will be available for practice the day before the international contest on July 19, 2018 and on Sunday July 22, There will be separate practice field 20min away. The site map will be available at office. INTERNATIONAL CONTEST Takikawa CUP : The open international contest Takikawa Cup F5B F5D will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 and Saturday, July 21, 2018 from 9:00 to 18:00 at the same field TakikawaSkypark. A specific invitation will be prepared with the full program. All World Championships participants, Team Managers and Helpers are invited to attend the event. VISA REQUIREMENTS:Individual competitors and their national team shall deal with Authorities to obtain the necessary visas. TOUR: A Sightseeing tour might be organized by the organizer on the reserve day if it will remain available(optional). Costs will be provided during the World Champs together with the minimum participation needed. SPECTATORS AND MEDIA: Visitors and public attending the event will be welcome and admitted at free entrance in identified flying field contorolled areas for safety reasons. A promotional campaign to publicize the Championships will be conducted by Specialized Magazines, Social Networks, Media Communications and, in partnership with the Takikawa Municipality with the local chamber of commerce to promote the event.
