1 THE FAIR IS OVER, SO WHAT DO I DO NOW? 1. ORDER YOUR BUYER(S) PLAQUE: Representatives from Fred s Award World will be at fair on clean-up day to record your order for your buyer(s) plaque. If you failed to place you order this day, you must go to Fred s to place your order by April 11, They will contact you when the plaque is ready for pick-up. The Receipt of Plaque form will be with your plaque when you pick it up from Fred s. NOTE: FRED S AWARD WORLD IS CLOSED ON MONDAY S. Fred s will have two pictures, one for your plaque and one for you. (Note: Each exhibitor is responsible for purchasing additional plaques and photographs in the case of multiple buyers). 2. WRITE THANK YOU LETTERS: An After the Fair packet will be available to you on the Fair website, Livestock tab. You are required to write a thank you note or letter to the applicable sponsors for your area of involvement. Your buyer and the people who chose to add-on to your project will be listed on your print out with your check for the sale of your animal. You are required to write each person a thank you note or letter. You may either mail or deliver them personally. 3. DELIVER YOUR BUYER PLAQUE: Plaques should be hand delivered to your buyer(s) along with the thank you note or letter. If you mail the plaque, make sure it is adequately protected, as you are responsible for the replacement in the event it becomes damaged. You must obtain the buyer s signature (or their designee) on the receipt of plaque form enclosed. FAILURE TO DELIVER PLAQUE AND RECEIPT OF PLAQUE BY THE DESIGNATED DATE WILL RESULT IN A 10% DEDUCTION FROM THE EXHIBITOR S SALE PROCEEDS AND WILL ELIMINATE THE EXHIBITOR FROM SHOWING A MARKET ANIMAL THE FOLLOWING YEAR. THE 10% WILL BE DONATED TO THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND.

2 4. THE RECEIPT OF PLAQUE MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE FAIR OFFICE NO LATER THAN MAY 9, Once you have the receipt of plaque from the buyer, mail or deliver it to the Fair Office. The address is on the bottom of the receipt. The receipt will serve as notification to the Fair that you have met your obligation. Your check along with a print out, will be mailed to you once the Fair office has received your plaque receipt, and all of the money for the sale of your market animal and add-ons has been received. NOTE: Original receipts should be hand-delivered or sent by certified mail. Metered mail will NOT be accepted where deadlines are concerned. Receipts mailed by standard mail are done so at your own risk. Faxed receipts will NOT be accepted. 5. GET READY FOR NEXT YEAR!!!!! If you have any questions, please contact the Fair Office at
