INAUGURAL EVENT KEITH FONG Tournament Director Continuing the success of Beach Bash, Asia Ice Events presents Tropical Freeze, which is expected to be a highly competitive youth tournament. All of the main games will be played at The Rink at Rama 9. Some U8 games may be played at Fashion Island. Dates: July 11-14, 2018

6 DIVISIONS AND ELIGIBILITY 5 Divisions Birthday Eligibility No. of Targeted Teams U / Teams U / Teams U / Teams U / Teams U / Teams Date of birth will be strictly enforced (NO EXCEPTIONS) Players must play within their age group. A maximum of 5 underaged players allowed. Teams should have between players and 1-2 goalies. Teams will be placed on a waitlist once the number of targeted teams has been reached.

Except in the Championship game where a second overtime period will be played. If still tied, a shootout will determine the winner Team standings based on Most points, most wins, least goals against, high goals for, least penalty minutes, greater goal difference and puck toss. Teams should have both a dark and a light set of jerseys and socks. Additional rules will be announced prior to the start of the tournament. Awards presentation will be presented after each Final. A party at the Rink will be held at the conclusion of the tournament.

11 HOTELS & TRANSPORTATION 10 There are many wonderful hotels in Bangkok. We are working on finding the best deals for the teams. More information will be released in the coming weeks. If you require transportation, we can assist as well.

13 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Can we save a spot in the tournament? a. Teams are only confirmed once payment and rosters are submitted. 2. When is my team expected to arrive in Bangkok? a. All teams should arrive no later than Tuesday, July 10. Teams are expected to start play by July When can we book our return tickets? a. Teams should plan their departure on Sunday, July 15 or after. 4. What about hotels and transportation? a. Teams are expected to arrange their own hotels and transportation. However, we are working with a few hotels on getting a special rate for tournament. If you require assistance with bus services, we can recommend several bus companies. 5. Are we allowed to have an exception that is barely over the age requirement? a. NO exceptions do not try to bring any over aged players into the division that your team has signed up for. We have a strict policy by checking every game. Any teams found with an over aged player will be disqualified from this and future tournaments. Please do not create an unhappy situation for the player and the team.

14 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS What if we do not have a goalie? a. We can try to assist in finding a goalie however, no guarantee. Suggest to put a player form the team as the designated goalie. 7. Is there a Pro Shop at the Rink? a. Yes. Skate Sharpening is also available. 8. Is there storage at the Rink? a. To avoid missing equipment, we suggest the teams to bring their gear with them as they complete their games. 9. What if we only have one set of jerseys? a. We highly recommend that teams prepare BOTH a dark and white set of jerseys with matching socks. If there is a colour clash situation where both teams only have one set, the team designated as the visitor will be required to change with a generic set that is provided. 10. Which venue will my team play in? a. All games will be played at the Rink in Rama 9 Central Plaza. However, some games in the U8 Division maybe played at the Rink in Fashion Island.
