2 Calling All 4-H ers Public Presentation Day 2017 The 2017 Walkathon Is Coming Fast! Are you all ready for the 43rd Annual 4-H Walkathon on May 13th? Does everyone know that the event will again be held in the Saratoga Spa State Park? Once again this year, we ll be parking in the SPAC parking lot and making our way to the pavilion for registration and the start of the walk. The money raised at the Walkathon is used to maintain the 4-H Training Center and keep it available for clubs, community groups, families, regional and local events and programs, horse shows, dog training classes, and more. We can t have a Walkathon without walkers, so we need you! Getting sponsorships is very important, and it takes work and planning to develop your list of supporters. Don t wait until the last minute. All walkers with at least $50 in sponsorships receive the always popular Walkathon T-shirt. Build your sponsor list by getting 5 friends, relatives or neighbors to sponsor you for $10 each, and qualify for your shirt. Then, continue to build your list to make even more of an impact on the total for the event. The walk will start and end at the Orenda Pavilion (park in SPAC parking lot) The goal for 2017 is to have at least 150 walkers and raise over $12,000. Let s have a great turnout and show our support of the 4-H Training Center. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the 5K walk will start at 10:15. Be there!
