4 Kickin It with Kelsey! This month, I want to introduce you to Abel, a farmer from Korm. He just learned how to drive a tractor! Big thanks to the Center for No Till Training in Ghana. We have spent the last two days learning A LOT of GREAT, EASY methods to help preserve the soil in Ghana whilst increasing our yields! Can't wait to take back what we learned to our community. The agriculture future of Ghana is bright, y'all!! - Kelsey Knight, a 4-H alumnus from Pendleton County, is currently living in Ghana, Africa where she is working for a year with AgriCorps to share her passion for agriculture and 4-H to Ghanaian youth. Agent Comments: Spring is just around the corner and hopefully warm weather is too! The spring activities are nearing and the summer ones are on the calendar. Several of our 4-H incentives are becoming available in the next couple of months so don t miss the opportunity to earn money for 4-H camp or teen conference by participating in these activities; 4-H Communication Day and Fashion Show. Camp applications are still available at Northern Elementary, Southern Elementary, and Sharp Middle School, as well as at the Extension Office. Junior and adult counselors are available, too! Have a Happy St. Patrick s Day and Easter! Shelley Meyer County Extension Agent for 4-H/Youth Development
