Again this year the sale will be held at VJV Auctions in Beaverlodge. This annual event is now set to the end of March to make it easy for customers to purchase their bull very close to the time he is needed. Tri K Cattle Company will again have a strong set of Red/Black/Traditional yearling bulls. Keith and Keiran have made a strong commitment to building their herd with Elite Genetics, purchasing some of the headline females available last fall. This was the follow up to the purchase of three new young herd bulls last spring. This good set of bulls will without a doubt continue to rise to the top in the future. Albrecht Farms will have their strongest set of bulls to date. The Crosby son that sired these bulls has made a huge impact in Steve s program producing heavy muscled, big bodied sons that are very consistent. If you are looking for some half and ¾ brothers you will want to get a hold of some of these bulls. Consistency bred in! KSL Simmentals will have a strong group of long yearling bulls that were born out on grass and grown out on grass. This set of bulls will be heavy Fleck influenced with many being polled. This will be your last chance to get an extra age bull this spring. They just go out and get the job done! We are very honored to be a part of this great Simmental sale, located right in the heart of the Peace Country. We would also like to thank all past and previous customers looks to very prosperous to all who are involved in the beef industry, and now, more importantly than ever, is the time to add the bull power you need to get the best bang for your buck! This year s bull pen may be down a few numbers, but arguably could be higher in quality than ever. This year we will have three sons sired by our new herdsire, Crossroad Chevalier 163Z, who was a high seller in their 2013 sale for $10,500. We had high expectations his first year of breeding going with some of our best cows and boy did he deliver. The consistency of hip, length of body, overall thickness and hair is just amazing. Also should mention he makes some pretty fancy females, some of which will be sold sale day. Again we have our Moose Creek Red Label bull represented by three sons. What a job he has done for our program. Lots of performance in his progeny. Everything a cattleman wants in times like these. Also there are four sons from our Beechinor Zone Fire 68Y heifer bull. This is the first year we have used Simmental on heifers and boy were we missing out. They calve so easy yet have so much growth through the summer. Check out 6B, lot 2, who will be a feature for us out of a first calf heifer and Zone Fire. Finishing out the group we have two solid Skor Club King bulls, and a fullblood sired by a Viper son from the Beechinor s embryo program. That saying that a true herd bull will out breed himself, something Zone Fire may have done with this guy first try out of the gate. Maternally Endzone has a really deep bodied, very feminine, red Stubby mother with a beautiful udder. She calved a bomber, Crosby grandson this year who is promising to be a star just like his brother. 6B in his own right has tons of length, loads of thickness, yet is really smooth in his makeup. A real dark red bull that combines calving ease with performance, two things that can be challenging to find all in one package. You don t see a calf like this out of a first calf heifer very often, so be sure to watch for this package on March 30/15. We would be very interested in using this guy back into our own herd.
