10 Candidate Statements My name is Roger Keithly. I have been a member of PVRA since 2006, and would like to be considered for a board position as a one or two year delegate at large. I am now retired and have the time to devote to this position. I ran my own law practice for 40 years and am familiar with the business, tax and personnel issues that accompany managing a business. I also served on the Poway UniÞed School Board for 14 years while my children were in school, which gave me experience with a $100,000,000 a year budget and 1600 employees. My law practice specialized in family law with an emphasis on mediation. During my years of practice I also served as a Settlement Conference Judge for the Superior Court. I am a horse husband who rides only on vacations. However, as we have our own horse facility, I have extensive experience in cleaning, building paddocks, repairing fences and maintaining an arena. I am a regular volunteer at PVRA events. I believe the skills set forth above would be particularly useful to this organization at this time. Attention all members! The Rodeo is just around the corner. We ll have guests from all over the county here at our fine PVRA grounds. We need YOU to help make this rodeo a success. Dozens of volunteers are needed and this is a great way to get your volunteer hours in for the year or have someone work your hours for you. What do we need? Ushers you get the watch the entire rodeo! Assistance with parking, taking tickets and working in the volunteer food service area, just to mention a few opportunities. Each shift is approximately 5 hours and we need people Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and Saturday night. Please go on line and register at and click on the volunteer tab. You can also us at powayrodeovolunteers16@gmail.com if you have questions. September 2016 Horse Tales Page 10
