3 The 2017 MN Beef Expo will go down in the record books as the largest MBE to date! The four days of packed to the wall events is a must go to for families in the upper Midwest. The Expo started off on Thursday with Knowledge Bowl, Sullivan Supply Stock Show University Seminar and a MYBEP Beef Industry ideas and Insights Symposium featuring Kevin Ochsner of RFD TV Cattlemen to Cattlemen program. Friday was the large judging contest and showmanship contest along with the MYBEP interviews. Saturday events included the sale show for Supreme Row and, market steer show with the highlight that night of awarding the MYBEP heifers and the selection of Supreme Row steer and female. The MYBEP program has now awarded over 123 heifers to young people who want to be part of the beef industry. The Supreme Row animals were selected by Jay Hennessy, ND, who was the sale show judge, Curt Rincker, IL, and Kirk Stierwalt, OK, who were the judges for the massive Junior Show on Sunday. Sunday was the grand finaly of the MBE with over 1000 entries for the Jr Show. There are so many who donate their time and talent to make this happen, the firms that make the sale and Supreme Row happen include sale cattle show sponsor is Showrite & Hubbard Feeds Inc, the sale is sponsored by Lanesboro s Commission, Inc. Supreme Row sponsors include MN Farm Guide-Agri Media Group, Purina Animal Nutrition LLC, Rabo Agri Finance & Optimizer Calf Gel.
