Mary Jones does the business once again with her three quarter bred Limousin steer at 204p and grossing over 1,500. Mark and Jackie Cornwell have two year old Angus cross steers returning at 1,400 plus and Brian Foster s Limousin cross steer tops out at 187p. All cattle well received. COWS & OVERAGE BEEF (17 inc 7 exempt) - Auctioneer: Roger Waters Short entry for cull cows, demand remains unchanged. Heavyweight British Blue cross achieve 1,252 at 125p on behalf of Mark & Jackie Cornwell. Danny Woolgar s Simmental cross not far behind at 122p. Friesian Holstein mostly plainer sorts, heavyweight lean steakers to 98p. Overage beef - limited in number Jim and Nick Geering s Limousin cross steer to 165p. 5 ~~ HEATHFIELD SHOW ENTRIES NOW BEING TAKEN Show launches on line entries for 2014 Show The Heathfield & District Agricultural Show has launched an on line booking facility on its web site ( for all livestock and horse entries. The web site is now fully interactive allowing exhibitors to enter their classes, visitors to purchase tickets and members to join, on line. In order to make sure the on line facility meets everybody s requirements the Show Society is asking for feedback on using the on line facility and in return is offering a lucky winner the prize of free membership to the person whose name is pulled out of the hat on 9 th April. This membership will gain the winner free access to the Show and use of the members facilities this year. A full set of results for all the competitions classes will be available immediately after the Show and links to show photographs and other activities will also be maintained. Additionally, schedules for all the classes are now available on line, be it Cattle, Sheep, Pigs or Horses, the Flower Show or Vintage Tractors, all the information regarding these competitions are available on our web page and entry forms can also be downloaded. The closing date for entries is 1 st April for cattle, sheep and pig classes and 8 th April for horse classes. Please make sure your entries will be received at the Show Secretary s office by this date.
