NO. 16/ You are cordially invited to participate in the SAISD Sandra Tapia Relays sponsored by the San Antonio Independent School District on Saturday, April 1 st, The meet will be held at the Alamo Stadium, 110 Tuleta San Antonio, TX Enclosed is the participation information for the 2017 SAISD Invitational Meet. This meet is open only to the participating schools listed. The entries will be done through All entries are due no later than 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28 th, If the entries are not done online, your team will not be allowed to compete. An entry fee of $200 per division or $20 per individual runner will be required for schools that are not part of the Area Athletic Director s entry fee reciprocating agreement. 2 GENERAL INFORMATION SAISD SANDRA TAPIA RELAYS: VARSITY BOYS/GIRLS TRACK ALAMO STADIUM SATURDAY APRIL 1, 2017 There will be no prelims. All running events will be finals. Events will be heated and laned by the Hy-Tek system. HEATS: May be consolidated at the staging area by the clerk of the course. The automated timing system will be used for all running events. Field event contestants will report to each field event station. Each contestant will get 3 attempts only. If you have athletes in field and running events, instruct them to take care of the running events first, but to report to the field event station and inform the judge. 5. FIELD EVENT AREAS: Long Jump, Triple Jump South Area High Jump & Pole Vault North Area, Shot/Discus Across SAWS 6. Only officials and contestants are allowed on the field. Contestants should remain in the stands except when reporting to the field event or warming-up for competition. 7. Starting blocks will be furnished. No other blocks are allowed. 8. 1/4 or 1/8 pyramid spikes are allowed on the track and runways. 9. No cell phone usage or other wireless devices used for communication will be allowed on the field or during competition by athletes or coaches. However electronic devices may be used in unrestricted areas and designated coaching boxes. A. Electronic devices shall not be used to transmit information to the competitor during the race or trial. B. Electronic devices shall not be used for any review of an official s decision. 10. One coach per team will be allowed in each of the two coaches boxes. The coaches box for the High Jump and Pole Vault will be in the end zone at the North End of the football field. The coaches box for the Long Jump and Triple Jump will be in the end zone at the South End of the football field. 1 Parents, Club Coaches, or anyone not hired by your school district are not allowed on the field 1 AWARDS: Team Trophies Meet Champion & Runner up Individual Medals 1 st 6 th Place Individual Please pick up at the completion of the meet. Results will be available at two hours after the conclusion of the meet. 1 Coaches meeting will be held at the North End under the Video Board at 8:45 am. Follow the 4 steps below to get started: Sign up for a free coach account (if you do not have one) Go to: Click on 'Sign up' in the upper right-hand corner Complete the signup wizard After receiving the confirmation , go on to #2 Add meets to your season calendar Login to Athletic.net using your address and password Click "Coach Tools" under the main navigation bar Click "Team Home" Click "Add Meet" above your calendar box Where it says "Meet ID:" enter and click Add Review the information and click Save and Continue > You may need to click Save and Continue > again Repeat this process for the rest of your season calendar (You can also add other meets, even if you don't know the Meet ID. Just select your state and click "Next >" instead of entering your meet ID.) Verify that your calendar is correct. Use the Edit button next to meets to make corrections Enter team roster Click "Coach Tools" Click Edit Athletes Add athletes to the roster manually, or upload your roster using the "Upload Athlete Roster" option Register athletes for the SAISD Sandra Tapia Relays Locate SAISD Sandra Tapia Relays on your team's main track and field page and click on the meet name In the blue dropdown, click "Register Athletes" Click on an event name, or athlete name to begin registering Choose the correct division to enter athlete in Click "Save Changes" Use the boxes on the bottom of the page to add additional athletes to your roster
