The athlete entry form must be sent in by 12:00 PM, Monday, March 2, It is very important that the athlete entry form be submitted by due date so we can set up our database. If the entry form is not turned in by the due date, your team will not be allowed to compete. An entry fee of $200 per division or $20 per individual runner will be required for schools that are not part of the Area Athletic Director s entry fee reciprocating agreement. 2 GENERAL INFORMATION J V GIRLS TRACK ALAMO STADIUM THURSDAY, MARCH 5, 2015 Packet: Coaches will receive wrist bands in their packets. The competitor s number will be written neatly on the wrist band by the coach. You cannot scratch and add a different name or add a name not on your list. This information is already in the data base in the computer. There will be no prelims. All running events will be finals. Events will be heated and laned on the track with the exception of relays. We will have two divisions: Lone Star and Texas (two meets within each meet) HEATS: May be consolidated at the staging area by the clerk of the course. Lonestar division will run first followed by the Texas Division. Field event contestants will sign up at each field event station. Each contestant will get 3 attempts only. If you have athletes in field and running events, instruct them to take care of the running events first, but to report to the field event station and inform the judge. 5. FIELD EVENT AREAS: High Jump North Area, Pole Vault North Area, Long Jump Triple jump South area, Shot & Discus Across SAWS 6. Contestants should remain in the stands except when reporting to the field event or warming-up for competition. 7. Starting blocks will be furnished. No other blocks are allowed. 8. 1/4 or 1/8 pyramid spikes are allowed on the track and runways. 9. No chalk, tacks or powder is allowed on the track to mark relay exchanges or field event runways. Only white athletic tape is allowed and must be removed immediately. 10. No radios or sound systems without earphones. No chalk, tacks or powder allowed on track or runways. No food, colored drinks or bags allowed on the track or field. 1 No cell phone usage or other wireless devices used for communication will be allowed on the field or during competition by athletes or coaches. However electronic devices may be used in unrestricted areas and designated coaching boxes. A. Electronic devices shall not be used to transmit information to the competitor during the race or trial. B. Electronic devices shall not be used for any review of an official s decision. 1 One coach per team will be allowed in each of the two coaches boxes. The coaches box for the High Jump and Pole Vault will be in the end zone at the North End of the football field. The coaches box for the Long Jump and Triple Jump will be in the end zone at the South End of the football field. 1 Parents, Club Coaches, or anyone not hired by your school district are not allowed on the field. 1 AWARDS: Team Trophies Meet Champion for each division Medals 1 st 6 th place.
