2 CONGRATULATIONS TO: Jillian Sotto Corona on finishing 5 th Open Lady and 2 nd Veteran Lady at the 21km Pick and Pay on Sunday, February 09, Jillian finished in a time of 1:34:55. Rita van Wyk on finishing 1 st Master Lady at the 42km Pick and Pay on Sunday, February 09, Rita finished in a time of 3:35:56. Shelley van der Spuy on finishing 2 nd Master Lady at the 42km Pick and Pay on Sunday, February 09, Shelley finished in a time of 3:42:40. Willie Maisela on being chosen to represent CGA (Grandmaster Male team) at the SA 10km Champs that will be held in Bloemfontein on February 22, Michelle Meyer on being chosen as non travelling reserve for the SA 10km Champs that will be held in Bloemfontein on February 22, 2014 in the 40+ ladies team. All our members that took part in the Midmar Mile (Swim) Lois and Frank Olivant on becoming grandparents. Apologies to: Claire Pattle who ran a PB at the Johnson Crane 21km in Benoni on Sunday, January 26, Claire ran a 2:03 (and not a 3:03) and bettered her time by 6 minutes. 16 TRACK AND FIELD See previous sent out with regards Track Champs. STEVE S TUESDAY NIGHT TRACK SESSION All members (especially our new members) are invited to Steve s Tuesday Night Track Session. The session starts at 18:00 and is normally about 45 minutes long. Please ensure you get to the track at least 15 minutes before so that you can warm up before the session starts.

17 CROSS COUNTRY 2014 Cross Country Training Runs Please see below the dates for Cross Country Training Runs. The runs will start at the Boksburg City Stadium and be run in the grounds of the stadium. The routes will vary between 4km, 8km and 12km. Interested runners to meet in the main car park at the Stadium. To those new members that do not know where the Finish Line is situated, please phone Linda in the office. The weekly Snowball draw takes place every Wednesday in the Pub as well, and members have to be present to claim the prize WORLD CUP SOCCER TEAMS AND BOKSBURG ATHLETIC CLUB COMPETITION As in previous years with any big sporting event the Pub/Social committee put together a competition whereby members/friends etc buy a ticket for R Your name then goes into a hat and a team is then drawn for you. The team draw will take place on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 in the pub and you will then find out which team/s you have drawn. As there are 32 teams we will have Pool 1consisting of 32 teams, Pool 2 consisting of 32 teams etc, etc. The more people that by tickets the more Pools we can run. At the end of the World Cup, payouts will be made, to the winner of each pool, in the pub on Wednesday July 16, (Winner takes all - so each Pool winner will receive R480.00) Please support the Social Committee and buy 1 or more tickets.
