AND APPLY ON YOUR BEHALF. TUESDAY NIGHT TRACK SESSION This is just a reminder to members that the Tuesday Night Track Session with Steve is still taking place at 18:00. See Results. TRACK AND FIELD MULTI - SPORT Hi Everyone, Well, that was my last trip for the year, and one that only dreams are made of! I had a great race, finishing 3 rd and on the podium behind Olympian Delephine Pelletier and Charlotte Morel, both from France. I am pleased that for the first time all year I got to do a race in the hot conditions that I like. I hope that you will read my report (or at least look at the pics!) and that a few of you will come with for the party next year ;D... CROSS COUNTRY Off season, so there is nothing to report at this time.

7 SOCIAL BACK IN THE PUB BY POPULAR DEMAND THE WEEKLY SNOWBALL DRAW David Johnson s name (Number 173) was the first to be drawn in the Pub on Wednesday night (28/11/2012) but he was not there so he missed out on winning R Rickus Veldman s name (Number 433) was the second to be drawn and he was also not in the Pub. Money rolls over to next week. XMAS PICNIC RUN Join us for an end-of-year 5km / 10km morning run Where: Ebotse Golf Estate Time: 7:00am After the run you are more than welcome to stay for a breakfast in the restaurant or bring along your own picnic basket! 8 STORIES / ARTICLES Congratulations to Allison Hay, a former member of Boksburg Athletic Club, for being recognized by Runner s World Magazine as one of S.A. s Top 100 Heroes of (See Runners World December 2012 issue Page 50). REPORT BACK ON THE SANI STAGGER Marinda Coetzee Ons het die Sani Stagger 42.2km gedoen op 24 November. Dit was verskriklik moeilik. Ek het nog nooit so 'n moeilike race in my lewe gedoen nie. Die laaste 6km om bo-op die berg te kom, is so styl, jy kan dit nie hardloop nie en dis ook hoog bo see-vlak. Die lug is baie dun en dit maak selfs stap moeilik. Die af was nie veel beter nie. Die padoppervlakte (los klippe, gate, groot klippe, water oor pad, ens.) en die vreeslike styl af, maak dit baie moeilik. Maar ons het dit gedoen en dit was baie lekker om die medalje te ontvang. Dit is 'n baie goeie georganiseerde race. Beperkte inskrywings van 500 vir die 42km en 230 vir die 21km. Die goodie bags was waarde vir geld. Vier van Boksburg Klub het deelgeneem en hier is ons tye: Theuns Coetzee - 4:44 Marinda Coetzee - 6:05 Rita Van Wyk - 5:21 JP Van Wyk - 5:21 PS: Ek besluit nog of ek dit weer wil doen. Moet nog eers oor die skok kom van hoe vrek moeilik dit was. Maar ek dink tog dis 'n race wat elke drawwer moet oorweeg. Marinda Dankie Marinda.
