To all members NOTE FROM THE CHAIRMAN Runners behaviour Runners generally have a positive persona attached to them as being friendly people but unfortunately we are at times face with incidents that negate from that persona. Please just bear in mind that any behaviour of a Boksburg Club member reflects on our entire club and therefore we urge all members to please behave decently and treat other road users with respect and courtesy. Please avoid instances where you could bring our well-established name into disrepute. Please remember that the Boksburg city stadium is not a race track or a place to be driving recklessly. Please bear in mind that the stadium is a public place and can therefore be used by anyone at anytime. The stadium is often utilised by children, runners, cyclists and walkers, some even with dogs so please take extra caution when driving in this area. STEVE S TUESDAY NIGHT TRACK SESSION IS NOW AT P.G. PARK All members (especially our new members) are invited to Steve s Tuesday Night Track Session. The session starts at 18:00 and is normally about 45 minutes long. Please ensure you get to P.G. Park (Prince George Park in the middle of town) at least 15 minutes before so that you can warm up before the session starts. Track training will continue at P.G. Park until the upgrade of the stadium tartan track is complete.

17 MULTI - SPORT Addicted2Adventure (A2A), an adventure tour company based in Sunward Park, Boksburg, who s co-founders, Thinus and Jolene Matthysen - also members of the Boksburg Athletic Club, is offering a variety of adventurous events to the very fit, not so fit and total couch potatoes. What is Addicted2Adventure? Co-Founder Jolene, says: We (myself & hubby, Thinus) are absolutely ADDICTED2ADVENTURE!!!! How and why did we start Addicted2Adventure? Every time when I told a friend/ colleague/ acquaintance about an adventurous outing we enjoyed over a weekend (or they just saw our pics on Facebook), their response would be you always do such awesome/ exciting/ outdoor events! I would love to do that as well. When I ask them why they don t their response would be: I don t want to go alone, I don t know what to do, I don t enjoy organising things, I don t know where to start! Sooo we started Addicted2Adventure! Thinus, co-founder, adds to that by saying: Addicted2Adventure (A2A) loads adventurous happenings and trips (that we will attend ourselves) on our website anybody who wants to experience any sort of adventure are welcome to join us as easy as that!
