1 West Melton School Y4-8 Sports 2018 Welcome everyone, Throughout the year, the students are able to participate in a huge and varied sporting programme. Each term we ask for parent help to run these events. Without your support some of these events would not be able to go ahead. They are usually simple jobs of keeping an eye on the students, transporting if required or helping set up the event. It is also a great way of meeting other parents and watching your child s progress. So, if you have an hour or two spare, are a parent/caregiver, uncle, aunt or grandparent please consider ticking the box next time the yellow sporting notice comes home. You will find our EOTC Parental Help form on our school website. You will only be required to fill out the form once this year Please note only Y5-8 students can qualify for zones and our school championship cups. Transport Transport to sporting events will be by bus if at all possible this year. This usually averages between $8 - $15 per student. Sport Uniforms Upon your child being fortunate enough to be selected for zones, they will be required to wear the West Melton School sport uniform. This is owned by the PTA and charged out at a flat rate of $5. This covers jacket, top & shorts. All uniforms need to be returned in the condition they were supplied ie: cleaned and dry. Sport Notices are found on our school website under Our School/ Newsletters & Notices as well as looking on our school calendar. Please refer to our website, as dates may be subject to change. It will also have links to permission forms, information sheets, maps and programmes.
