12 Financial Highlights 2016/2017 Increased membership fees by approx. 20% 30 fewer members $25,000 less revenue 3 coaches, 2 lanes (am/pm) Deficit funded by reserve from 2015/16 Last season, we commijed to 3 coaches. Unfortunately we saw a drop in membership and revenue. The club wasn t able to fully meet its commitment to the coaches. For 2017/18, the program has been adjusted to 2 coaches.!

14 AMSC Program AMSC program is focused around ski improvement by skiing in gates, stubbies and feather dusters Technical free skiing Uses stubbies & drill courses Use full gate courses Use radios, timing & video analysis Everyone skis together and helps each other
15 AMSC Program Depending on time of year, number of athletes and gate space availability will depend on when athletes ski in gates (we need to be flexible). November - December: Free skiing, stubbies and feather dusters Limited gate space /snow Everyone skis with together We will be skiing as a group during the first 2 months at both Nakiska (ready at 8:50am) and COP (on hill star1ng at 5:30pm).
16 AMSC Program Depending on time of year, number of athletes and gate space availability will depend on when athletes ski in gates (we need to be flexible) January - April: Free skiing, gates, stubbies, feather dusters and races More snow coverage and more gate space available Depending on Group size, Athletes may be divided into AM and PM groups Group AM PM A Gates Free Ski B Free Ski Gates Group sizes and group distribu1on will be managed by the coaches based on informa1on from Team Snap.

20 Club Expectations on Snow Lots of work to set up and maintain the courses At Nakiska 8:50 AM in the lift line Setting, drilling, screwing, slipping, dyeing, rolling, bundling, bungeeing, raking, shovelling, etc. Everyone using the course is expected to help with set up / teardown
21 Club Expectations on Snow Rotation system used for course work Athletes will tag off other athletes More smaller bundles of gates Everyone helps. Ask fellow athletes or Derek what you should do if you are unsure.
22 Club Expectations It is a privilege to be a member of the AMSC Know that when you wear our team colours you represent all of us If you take the opportunity to help within the ski racing community, please let Claudio know as he interacts with Alberta Alpine and other clubs on a regular basis.

25 Alberta Alpine Membership/National Card Alberta Alpine Memberships / Cards (18 yrs & up) No weekend card. ($100 in 2016/17). General membership is required.! Cards Cost Coverage General Membership $18 Allows for training season. You need a race card for any sanctioned event. More on this in a later .!! *Master s National Card $176 Master s FIS Card $176 Allows for training all season. May compete in unlimited sanctioned Masters (and U16) events. Same as Master s National Card but allows members to compete in Masters FIS sanctioned events internationally. Must have appropriate Alberta Alpine membership/card *Most AMSC members get the Masters National Card 10% discount at Sporting Life

29 Mandatory Gate Training Signup Through TeamSnap Signing up through TeamSnap is MANDATORY for gate training Do not fill out the attendance for the whole season in advance Push notifications and reminders about upcoming training, races and events If you do not say you are attending you WILL NOT be skiing gates This is a courtesy for the coaches TeamSnap Training this Saturday.! Are you available?! Signing up for each session via Team Snap is required for coaches to plan.!
30 Volunteers Silent Auc1on March 3-4, 2018 Most Important (only) fundraiser Obtaining donapons Preparing donapon sheets Manning the silent aucpon area Helping close the aucpon, obtain payments, distribute items An rela1ng to the Silent Auc1on, including looking for a few people to lead this ini1a1ves will come out soon. This is an important fundraiser for the club.! Rides of March Race March 8-11, 2018 Updates will be provided once we confirm a program We do need about 25 volunteers to make this a reasonable amount of work for the organizers
31 Equipment Helmets are mandatory at all times Hard-ear with FIS specifications for Alpine racing helmets (with sticker) are mandatory for GS, SG & DH training and racing Soft eared helmets are permitted for SL Chin guards strongly recommended for SL mandatory in 2 seasons (FIS) Check with coaches if you have any equipment ques1ons.!
