1 Dear Member Please find below information for Membership renewals which are now due, renewals are to be completed via Lifesaving Online All memberships must be paid by Thursday 31 July 2014 (Non financial members security bands will be deactivated) HOW TO JOIN Lifesaving Online is a self service member portal for anyone who is a member of an SLSA affiliated club/organisation or who wants to join or rejoin a club. The application allows both the public and surf club members to maintain personal information online to ensure it is correct in the SLSA member database, Surfguard. You may also use Lifesaving Online to renew SLSA surf club membership or request membership at a new SLSA Organisation. Creating an account and using Lifesaving online is free and once you have signed up you can take full control over your membership records. THE BENEFITS OF USING LIFESAVING ONLINE Renew your membership or join with the Noosa Heads SLSC Make payments to the club for membership. View all your awards and their respective proficiency dates. See a calendar of your patrol dates. Check your patrol hours for this seasons and previous years. Update your contact details. Page 1 of 15

2 ALREADY REGISTERED WITH LIFESAVING ONLINE Renewal is very easy now that you have already registered Go to and simply click on Log In from the menu at the top of the page Enter your username and password and click on the Log In You will see a screen with Welcome. Just click on the click here link to renew your membership. 3 To renew a membership click on the word Renew that is on the same line as the club that you wish to join. This will take you to a pre-filled in form. Check and/or correct your personal details, tick the declaration boxes and submit your application to your club. Page 3 of 15

ONLINE PAYMENT The system will then prompt you to pay your fees online should you wish to. Click on the link to access the secure payment gateway. Membership renewal is not complete until you payment has been received. To make a payment simply click the Make Payment link which will take you through the payment gateway Page 5 of 15

6 To view the price list simply select View Price List Simply select your transaction type from the drop down menu, type in details of your payment so that your club will be aware of what the payment is for and for whom and add an amount that you wish to pay. Page 6 of 15

7 Hit the Submit button and finish off the payment transaction with your credit card details. Your club will also be sent a copy of your receipt. Enter in your contact details and an address so that your receipt can be sent to you NOT REGISTERED YET FOR NIPPER RENEWAL AND NEW NIPPERS NIPPER FAMILY MEMBERSHIP If you are renewing a family membership, you will need to create a separate membership account for each child. You must LOG OUT before creating an account for the next member in the family (5 years and above). You must use a different login name for each person (smith_billy, smith_sarah, smith_fred etc) but you are welcome to use the same password, especially for nippers accounts so you don t have to remember too many passwords. CREATE ACCOUNT If you have not already registered with Lifesaving Online, go to the Lifesaving Online website at Click on the Create Account Box to begin the process Note: The creating of an account only has to be completed once The system will ask you if you have ever been or are currently a member of a SLSA affiliated organisation. If your answer is YES, select this option so that all your records can be brought over into lifesaving Online (Nippers details) If you are new to the Organisation select NO Page 7 of 15

8 Type in the answers to question 2 using the same details as recorded by the club. Tick your preferred option to have your confirmation code sent to you. We suggest that you select mobile. 13 BLUE CARD In line with Surf Life Saving Queensland Members Protection Policy Noosa Heads Surf Lifesaving Club is committed to protecting children from harm and promoting their well being. This policy requires all members over the age of 18 years to hold a current working with children check(queensland Public Safety Business Agency). This includes police and teachers who are normally regarded as exempt under the Act. Renew Blue Card Application (link) Authorisation to confirm a Valid card/application (link) Exemption card application - Registered Teachers and Queensland Police Officers (link) Identification verification by a prescribed person form (link) PAYMENT OPTIONS Membership renewal is not complete until you payment has been received. CREDIT CARD We offer credit card payments via Surf Life Saving Australia s Payment Gateway. To pay securely via credit card, visit pay.slsa.com.au and go to the Payment Gateway. Detailed instructions for using this service can be found by following this link. DIRECT BANK DEPOSIT Money can be deposited directly into the Noosa Heads SLSC bank account. It is ESSENTIAL that you include a reference in your transaction that will help us identify who made the deposit and why. Details are as follows: Bank: Westpac BSB: Acct No: Reference: eg1: Smith, Harry Family eg2: Jones, Mary Deposits made without a reference cannot be credited to you and a receipt cannot be issued.
