4 WELCOME TO OUR NEW ADMIN OFFICER DEBORAH BARKER We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Deborah Barker as our new Admin Officer at CoCSC, supporting the coaching team and Executive Committee in running the administrative functions of the club. Deb started this week on 12th September and is currently undergoing induction and handover with the team. Deborah previously worked at Marshall Aerospace in Cambridge where for 16 years she had a role in event management, marketing and customer relations. She then moved to Boston for 3 years for her husband s job but they have now moved back to the UK and are living in the Cambridge area. Deb has one son at secondary school and one at primary school. Deb will be working 20 hours per week spread over Monday to Thursday. Members can contact her on swimmers@cocsc.org.uk. Welcome to the team!

6 NATIONAL ARENA LEAGUE The National Arena League competition starts again next month, with Round 1 taking place on 8th October. CoCSC have entered two teams to the League this year, A and B, to give more swimmers the opportunity to compete and represent their Club. 10 A note on payments to the club PAYMENTS TO THE CLUB Online payments A number of members have advised they have difficulty in changing the reference each time for online payments for galas. If this is the case for you, please set a single reference of your surname followed by the word gala (so for example SMITH GALA ) and then when making a payment you should to let me know what the payment is for: swimmers@cocsc.org.uk Combining payments for multiple events This is not a problem at all, as long as you tell us the breakdown of the payment by ing to swimmers@cocsc.org.uk. In the case of cheques, just make a note on the back of the cheque. Rejected from an event or wrongly entered and due a refund We now have facilities to issue a credit note for a future event or a refund by bank transfer. We will when refunds are due so you can advise on which method suits you. A few members are still making payments to our old account (sort code ) Please can you check you are using the correct account (see Gala Entry page) and delete the old account info from your records!
