May 2011 The National Paralympic Committee of Germany have the pleasure to invite all federations and foreign clubs to take part at the Internationale Deutsche Meisterschaften im Schwimmmen This meet is open to international classified swimmers with a disability from all nations. It is the responsibility of each nation to ensure they have the proper documentation to enter Germany. Should visas be required, please contact NPC Germany for a letter of support (if required) at bilke@dbs-npc.de. Please use the attached form for Visa application. Please note: NPC Germany wants a letter from your NPC for these requirement. II. Classification and Training: The Internationale Deutsche Meisterschaften im Schwimmmen are open for swimmers with a disability only. Swimmers should enter the meet using their current IPC Swimming classification (which may be found online at Swimmer, without international classification will be allowed to take part with their national classification. Swimmers without classification are allowed to swim in German AB-class (disabled swimmers without minimal handicap). FCS classification in Berlin to be confirmed: Hopefully we can offer the opportunity for international FCS classification by IPC Swimming in Berlin. Classification will be conducted Tuesday and Wednesday, April 26 th and 27 th. The registration for international classification is exclusively possible via the online registration at the competition website (available from 7 th February 2011 at It is the responsibility of the teams to have their swimmers at the classification venue at the right time. VI classification in Berlin to be confirmed: We try to give some swimmers the opportunity for international VI classification by IPC Swimming in Berlin. Estimated Classification will be conducted Wednesday, April 27 th only. The registration for international classification is exclusively possible via the online registration at the competition website (available from 7 th February 2010 at It is the responsibility of the teams to have their swimmers at the classification venue at the right time. 4 25. IDM Swimming Berlin, 28. April 01. May 2011 IV. Rules: The competition will be run under IPC Swimming - rules. The one start rule will apply for the IDM Swimming. The Championships are within the NADA and NPC Germany Anti-Doping-Testing-Pool. According to the world anti doping code and anti doping rules of Germany doping control can be announced. Please take care that only FINA approved swim suits will be allowed at the IDM Swimming. The competition is open for swimmers with a functional disability, a visual impairment and a mental handicap. There are competitions for the classes S1 - S14 and AB (disabled no minimal handicap) offered. Seeding will be according to entry times and independent of classification. Competitions 1 to 4 (800m Freestyle and 400m Individual Medley): There will be only two (2) heats in the competitions 1 to 4. The best 20 entries per event will be accepted by system of 1000 points. Multi-disability finals: The participating swimmers in the multi-disability finals will be found by comparing the achieved times from the preliminary event by point system. The 10 swimmers best ranked by points will participate in the multi-disability A final. The next 10 swimmers ranked by points will participate in the B final. Scratches for multi-disability finals (including substitutes) must be made no later than half an hour after the results are presented. We will penalize every Did not Start in the finals with 25 except medical withdrawals. If there are less than 8 entries for an event announced as prelims/finals that event can be conducted as direct final in the final session. 8 Park- und Durchfahrtsgenehmigung Während des gesamten Veranstaltungszeitraums stehen Parkplätze für die Autos der teilnehmenden Personen und Mannschaften in unmittelbarer Nähe der Schwimmhalle zur Verfügung. Da die Anzahl der Parkplätze im Parkhaus der Schwimmhalle sehr begrenzt ist, ist das Parken dort nur mit einer gesonderten Genehmigung erlaubt. Diese Genehmigung kann von Rollstuhlfahrern und Menschen mit starker Gehbehinderung beantragt werden. Alle anderen Personen und alle Mannschaften können eine Durchfahrtgenehmigung für das Parkhaus beantragen. Mit dieser ist die Einfahrt in das Parkhaus erlaubt um die Aktiven und Betreuer zum Sportlereingang zu bringen, das Auto muss dann jedoch herausgefahren und außerhalb des Parkhauses geparkt werden. Eine Beantragung ist über das beigefügte Formular möglich. There are free parking areas around the swimming pool during the whole time of the competition. As the number of parking lots in the parking deck of the swimming pool is quite small, a special permission is needed to use these. Wheelchairusers and persons with other severe physicaly disabilities can order these permission. All other persons and all teams can order a transit permission to enter the parking deck, drop the athletes at the entrance and leave the parking deck to park outside.
