Sanction # IN Charles Chick Newell Natatorium Columbus North High School th Street Columbus, IN The parking area may be reached from Home Ave. The pool entrance is directly off the parking lot. FACILITY: 25 yard pool, 8 lane course with separate diving well, starting end depth 4 ½ ft., turning end depth 8 ft. Colorado touch pads, Omnisport 2000 timing and Daktronics 8 lane scoreboard. Spectator seating is available. The competition course has not been certified in accordance with C(4). ELIGIBILITY: RULES: Swimmers must be registered with USA Swimming to be accepted into this meet. Age as of January 18, 2013 shall determine the swimmer s age for the entire meet. Current USA Swimming and Indiana Swimming rules will govern this meet. USA Swimming Rules At a sanctioned competitive event, USA Swimming athlete members must be under the supervision of a USA Swimming member coach during warm-up, competition, and warm-down. The Meet Director or Meet Referee shall assist the athlete in making arrangements for such supervision. Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach, must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. It is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement. Coaches MUST constantly display their USA Swimming coach credential to gain deck access. The meet referee reserves the right to ask for coach credential display and/or deny deck access if coach does not comply or card is no longer valid/current. In swimming competitions, the competitor must wear only one swimsuit in one or two pieces except as provided in All swimsuits shall be made from textile materials. For men, the swimsuit shall not extend above the navel nor below the knees, and for women, shall not cover the neck, extend past the shoulder, nor extend below the knee. Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms or locker rooms. FORMAT: All events will be timed finals, enter in yard times. All Friday night events will be limited. The number of heats will be determined after receipt of all entries. Donner Swim Club will be allowed to swim regardless of entry time. Clubs with swimmers not accepted will be notified. We reserve the right to limit entries in any event to adhere to the 4-hour rule for age group swimmers. Refunds will be made to all swimmers not allowed to compete in any limited events. 10 year olds swimming the 500 Free on Friday will not be scored and will not count for high point awards. The 1650 free will be limited to 2 heats each and swum alternating girls and boys, fastest to slowest. Swimmers entered in the 1650 will be expected to provide two timers and a counter. ENTRIES: Swimmers are limited to 5 events per day. Entries can be submitted by (nocando87- swim@yahoo.com), on computer disk, or in writing. Entry fees must accompany all mailed entries. If you are using an overnight delivery service please DO NOT require a signature.

2 DEADLINE: Entries will be accepted starting December 21, Entry deadline will be January 4, We will extend the deadline if the meet is not full. FEES: The entry fees for this meet will be $4.00 per individual event and an Indiana Swimming Athlete Surcharge of $1.50 per swimmer. Make checks payable to Donner Swim Club. Deck entry fees will be $8.00 per event. IF A SWIMMER SCRATCHES AN EVENT OR THE ENTIRE MEET, WE CANNOT SUBSTITUTE ANOTHER SWIMMER IN HIS/HER PLACE. THIS WILL BE CONSIDERED A NEW ENTRY AND WILL BE CHARGED ACCORDINGLY. CHECK-IN: CLERK OF COURSE: SCORING: ALL SWIMMERS ARE TO CHECK IN PRIOR TO WARMUPS. Check in sheets will be taken down 15 minutes after warm-ups begin. Swimmers who fail to check in will be scratched. THERE WILL BE A SEPARATE CHECK-IN SHEET FOR THE FREE ON FRIDAY. No Clerk of Course will be conducted all swimmers will report directly to the blocks for individual events. 6 & under, 7 & 8 and also 13 & 14, and 15 & over when swimming together but will be scored separately. AWARDS: Custom designed ribbons first sixteenth place in individual events for 12 & under swimmers and first eighth place for 13 & over swimmers. Awards will not be mailed. Individual high point awards will be given to the top high point girl and boy in the 6 & under, 7 & 8, 9 & 10, 11 & 12, 13 & 14 and 15 & over age groups. 10 year olds swimming the 500 Free on Friday will not be scored and will not count for high point awards. HEAT SHEETS: Friday, Saturday and Sunday combined $6.00, on Sunday $3.00. SCHEDULE: FRIDAY EVENING SESSION: 1650 Free swimmers-warmup: 4:30 p.m. Meet starts: 5:00 p.m. At the conclusion of the 1650 there will be a 30-minute warm-up period. SATURDAY AND SUNDAY AM SESSION Warmup: 7:00 a.m. Meet: 8:00 a.m. SATURDAY AND SUNDAY PM SESSION Warmup: Immediately following the end of the morning session, but not before 12:00 noon.
