2 WELCOME TO THE VOLLEY ZOO!! We are SO excited to host this 0 team U2 tournament at Valley Christian School!!! Website: Pool play assignments are posted on our website, There will be a Zoo & Block Party tab in the horizontal menu at the top please select the U2 Volley Zoo handout. Facility Rules: WATER ONLY COURTSIDE no sports drinks or food are allowed courtside including scorers table. There is very little bleacher seating - camp chairs are allowed against walls in the 2 gyms the Day Official will move you if they feel you are interfering with playable space. IN the 2-COURT GYM: There are some bleachers that are close to some folded back basketball hoops. PLEASE DO NOT HANG OR SWING LIKE MONKEYS ON THE HOOPS AND SUPPORT STRUCTURE!! Food IS allowed in the hallway between the two gyms AND in the team area at the top of the staircase between the two gyms. There is not much space available for the team camping areas, so please be courteous for the shared space that we ALL have to use. No plug-in food devices. PLEASE CLEAN UP YOUR TEAM AREA BEFORE YOU LEAVE. NO Pets and PLEASE supervise ALL children. We may have some additional facility allowances the morning of, but we will explain those at the coaches meeting. Play Format: Pool Play matches for the 4-team pool, will be determined by best 2 out of sets. First 2 sets are to 25pts with no cap rd set to 5pts with no cap. Warm-Ups (including serving) for the first two rounds are 5min-5min and then min-min after that. Pool play matches for the -team pools, will be sets to 25pts (no cap), no matter what. This helps you to have a similar number of sets played (as the 4-team pools). With the - team pool, you will either be playing or reffing, so to assist with enough time to get warmed-up/potty breaks etc we will allow for greater timed breaks between rounds Pool play finishes will be determined by: Match Record Set Record - in case of a tie (see pg 6 of ERVA Tournament Handbook) Point Percentage in case of a tie (see pg -2 of ERVA Tourney Handbook) Coin Flip in the case of a tie after the previous two tie-breaking procedures.

4 st and 2 nd place from each pool will be seeded into a 6 team Championship Bracket and rd & 4 th place from the pools will be seeded into a 4 team Consolation Bracket. Tournament Play is Single-Elimination and will also be played best 2 out of sets. Please don t forget, if you lose in a round earlier than the FINALS of EACH bracket, YOUR TEAM will be assigned to officiate the next round. If we can accommodate your team leaving sooner, after a loss, we will try to do so, BUT it is not a given so please PLAN on officiating the match after a loss, and be happily surprised if you don t have to!!
