She is an accomplished performer, teacher, and choreographer who works with companies throughout California and Arizona. 7 CAST PROFILES DIRECTOR S NOTE Genevieve Ciavarelli (Violet Beauregarde) an eleven year-old 6th grader, made her debut appearance with Pickwick Players as Erzulie in Once On this Island. Genevieve has been in several productions throughout San Diego including How the Grinch Stole Christmas at the Old Globe Theatre. She would like to thank Geoffrey and the entire production team for the opportunity to play Violet; Chrissy Burns for her guidance and support; her family and friends for their love and encouragement. Andrea Acuña (Mrs. Beauregarde), a native of San Diego, is currently finishing up her last semester at the University of San Diego as a double major in Political Science and Theatre Arts & Performance Studies. Most recently she appeared as Bagshot in USD's fall production of The Beaux' Stratagem. This is her first production with Pickwick Players, and she would like to thank the entire cast and crew for making the experience an amazing one! Emily Morrison (Veruca Salt) is thrilled to be joining the Willy Wonka cast for her first Pickwick show. Previous credits include Lucy in Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, Avery in Charlotte s Web, Pepper in Annie, Toto in The Wiz, Kathleen in Ragtime, and many more. Emily would like to thank Pickwick for this opportunity, and her friends and family for all their support. Robert Shadbolt (Mr. Salt) in thrilled to be in his first production with Pickwick Players. Past favorite roles include Sir Toby Belch in Twelfth Night with Coronado Playhouse and Jumbo Dumbrowski in Panache at PowPAC. He would like to thank the Yellerson family for all their love and support. And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it. -Roald Dahl Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, as I m sure for many, was one of my favorite books as a kid. I can still see the red cover with the drawing of Charlie and a half eaten chocolate bar. I would read that one over and over again and remember traveling to Wonka s factory, and how my imagination would run free there. Now years later I have that chance again. Directing Roald Dahl s Willy Wonka has been nothing short of allowing my childhood imagination to run free. As a Director/Actor we allow ourselves to play in a world of Pure Imagination. I could think of no better production for both young and young-at-heart to come together and create MAGIC. I cannot stress how wonderful of an organization Pickwick Players is for its education in theatre. Pairing seasoned actors with youth provides an exciting learning environment and a chance to develop great characters. Now over the years my vision of the factory has changed, and the musical version has been given some updates yet I wanted to retain the magic of the book while giving it a flavor all my own. Of course, I have had incredible team to pull this off and I want to make sure to thank Cast & Crew alike for their hard work and dedication. Special thanks to Sandie, (my right arm), Cam (my left arm), Nettie (for everything you do), Kirk (for your brilliance!) and Candace (my wife for another amazing collaboration). I hope you enjoy our version of the story, and you have a chance to share some MAGIC with someone you love. Thank you for supporting local theatre. On a final personal note: It has been a rather rough few months and rather than close with a certain dedication I dedicate this wonderful world of magic to those close friends who have really come through for me recently. You bless me everyday. -Geoffrey A. Cox Kevin Davison (Mike Teavee) is thrilled to be back with Pickwick Players. He was recently seen in How the Grinch Stole Christmas at the Old Globe. Favorite roles include Jojo in Seussical (Pickwick Players,) King Louie in The Jungle Book (Young Actor s Theater) and Michael Darling in Peter Pan (CYT). Kevin hopes to be on Broadway someday, but he knows that wherever life takes him he will always have a song in his heart. Samantha Goldstein (Ms. Teavee) is in her fourth show with Pickwick Players, following David & Lisa, Bye Bye Birdie and Pippin. She is also a writer and director for stage and short film, and teaches Nia, a dance/martial arts/yoga hybrid. Sam thanks Geoffrey, Candace and Kirk for sharing their talents, and all of the cast and crew for being totes awesome. A special shout-out to her stage son, Kevin Davison. Her everlasting gratitude to David and Jarrah, her biggest fans.

Love to Noah, Kara, & Emma for being his biggest fans! Josh Henson (Charlie Bucket) is excited to be doing his thirteenth production. He was last seen as Man in the Chair in Coronado s The Drowsy Chaperone. Other favorite appearances: Greater Tuna, Once Upon A Mattress, Two by Two, Something s Afoot, and dozens more. Retired after 41 years teaching, he enjoys gardening and world travel with wife Merrie. Robin Echo Young (Grandma Josephine) is happy to be part of the wonderful Willy Wonka cast and crew. Robin is a Country/Folk singer and is often seen at special events around the county, most recently in a tribute to Patsy Cline. Joel Gossett (Grandpa George) is a veteran of the stage throughout San Diego County, performing with Moonlight, Grossmont College, PowPAC, Lyric Opera, and CCT. Pickwick Players credits include Dr. Swinford in David & Lisa and Jacob in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. He thanks Geoffrey and the production team for giving him the opportunity to perform with such a talented group. Jeanvieve Lamoureux (Grandma Georgina) is honored to be making her debut with Pickwick Players, after supporting her daughter, Nettie, for the past few years. It's been a number of years since she last performed with her folk group, Creation and worked with Covenant Ark Theatre. Some favorite roles include Maurice in Beauty and the Beast and Bert Healy in Annie. Brandon enjoys singing on the worship team at church and coaching the competitive speech club at Heritage Christian School. Eat mor chickin! Ephesians 2:10 Ryan Prades (Phineous Trout) made his theatre debut in Pickwick Players' Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and is stoked to be part of this theatre family for another season. He was most recently seen in Coronado Playhouse's The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. When not on stage or analyzing data, he can often be sighted at concerts, craft breweries, or the cliffs for his latest favorite activity: paragliding. Jacob Rodebaugh (Augustus Gloop) is excited to back for his fifth Pickwick show, previously appearing in Joseph, Seussical, David & Lisa, and Bye Bye Birdie. San Diego Junior Theatre credits: Footloose, Phantom Tollbooth, Stinky Cheese Man and Compleat Werks of Wllm Shkspr (Abridged). When not on stage, Jacob is an 8 th grader at Carlton Oaks. Jacob would like to thank Geoffrey, Cameron, Kirk, Alisa and his family for their continued support of his dream. Oob!
