3 GENERAL INFORMATION Game Site S.B. Ballard Stadium (Capacity 21,068) Playing Surface Practice Times Visiting Team Sideline AstroTurf The practice time for visiting teams will be 2:30-3:30pm on the day prior to the game and must be confirmed through Dan Cornier at (757) or at least two weeks prior to scheduled game. The visiting team bench is located on the East Side of the stadium. Visiting team warm ups will take place on the North Side of the field. Visiting Team Locker Room The visiting team locker room is located in the northwest corner of S.B. Ballard Stadium. Team Bus Parking Escort Equipment Truck Parking General Parking Credentials Communications Coaches Booth Team bus parking is located along Bluestone Ave. between 49 th Street and Bolling Ave., directly outside of the northwest corner of the stadium. Teams wishing to have a police escort from their hotel to the stadium on game day must contact Russ Michael with the Old Dominion Police Department at (757) or rmichael@odu.edu at least five business days prior to the game. Visiting team equipment trucks will be parked along Bluestone Ave. outside of the northwest corner of the stadium. Visiting teams will be provided with 6 parking passes for team administration. Additional game-day parking is available in the 43 rd Street and 45 th Street parking garages on the east side of Hampton Ave. Team personnel will be provided with an allotment of 40 Visiting Team Area passes and 2 All Access credentials. Credentials must be worn by all personnel including coaches, trainers, and other members of the support staff. Communication lines are available from the visiting team bench to the visiting coaches box. Four (4) dry RJ-45 outlets are available directly behind the team bench area. Old Dominion will not provide headsets for the visiting teams. If you have questions or concerns about your team s communication needs, please contact Dan Cornier. The visiting coaches booth is located at the top of the east side stands in the east side pressbox. 4

4 Filming Officials Visiting Band Cheerleaders Mascots Athletic Training Medical Information Space will be provided for team personnel in the film deck located on the east side of S.B. Ballard Stadium on the roof of the coaches box in addition to the roof of the Ainslie Building at the south end of the stadium. Old Dominion will provide a copy of the game if requested. Questions or concerns about game day film operations should be directed to Wendell Mitchem at (757) Officials will be assigned by C-USA (unless specified differently in the respective game contract). Officials will be housed in the northeast corner of S.B. Ballard Stadium. If the visiting band is planning on attending the game, they must notify the Sr. Associate A.D. for Football at least 2 months prior to the game. Band seating will come out of the visiting team ticket allotment. Cheerleaders will be admitted in uniform. Cheerleaders should enter the stadium through Gate D and can enter the field area with 30 minutes to go in pre-game and are to remain between the southeast goal line and 25 yard line by the visiting team bench. Mascots will be admitted in uniform and are to remain on the visiting team sideline. Only the team s official mascot will be admitted on stadium grounds. Old Dominion will provide the visiting team four (2) ten gallon coolers with 300 cups, injury ice and bags, taping tables, a hydrocollator, isotonic drinks, 1 case of water, assorted sodas, 100 game programs and towels in the locker room. Water, pre-packaged cubed ice, 400 cups, injury ice and bags will be provided on the visitor sideline. Team physicians will be on hand for each home contest and are available for consultation if required. An AED, splints, spine board, and Gator with med-bed will be located on the home sideline. A photo I.D. is required to receive admission. This area will open two (2) hours prior to kick-off and will close at the end of half-time. Media Team Meals All visiting radio stations wishing to broadcast a contest at S.B. Ballard Stadium must contact the Sports Information Office at least two weeks prior to the game. Visiting media must contact sports information by Thursday of game week. An analog or IDN phone line will be available for use. Wireless and hard line Ethernet are also available in the booth. Stats monitors will be provided as well as hard copies of stats at the end of each quarter. Catering for team meals is exclusively provided by Aramark. 11 DIRECTIONS TO S.B. BALLARD STADIUM FROM THE NORTH Take Highway 13 down the Eastern Shore, and through the Chesapeake Bay-Bridge Tunnel ($10 toll). Follow 13 (Northampton Blvd.) until you cross over Military Hwy. onto 166 (Princess Anne Rd.). Stay on Princess Anne until you reach Hampton Blvd. Turn right onto Hampton Blvd. and follow until you reach 43 rd Street. Turn left onto 43 rd street. Follow 43 rd street and turn right onto Powhatan Avenue. From Powhatan Ave., turn right on 49 th street. On 49 th St. turn left onto Bluestone Avenue. Foreman Field will be on your right. FROM THE SOUTH Take I-95 North to U.S. 58 (Emporia, Va.) or I-85 North to U.S. 58 (South Hill, VA). Follow U.S. 58 East to Norfolk. Cross the Berkley Bridge and bear left. Turn right onto St Pauls Blvd. and follow to Brambleton Ave. Take a left onto Brambleton Ave. which turns into Hampton Blvd. Follow Hampton Blvd. until you reach 43 rd Street. From Powhatan Ave., turn right on 49 th street. On 49 th St. turn left onto Bluestone Avenue. Foreman Field will be on your right. All official visiting team transportation vehicles (up to 6) will be allowed to park on Bluestone Avenue which is adjacent to Foreman Field. 12
