The Trojans will still be on a high from last week s victory over the Avoca Sharks where they have been striking some excellent form in recent weeks. Hornsby was defeated quite easily by competition front runners Ourimbah last week and they will be wanted to secure a victory at home. Hornsby still know how to score tries and if Terrigal are slightly off their guard at the weekend they could find themselves in difficulty. This should be a great game and supporters will certainly see some great rugby. As expected, the day produced high standard rugby with everyone present being part of well organised, great day of rugby. The day saw our Club come together and dig deep to create one the best victories in our history against the Avoca Club. It was all about the way the rugby was played. Everyone worked hard as a team to create a memorable and emphatic victory winning all grades against the Avoca Club. Avoca played the match in good spirits and never gave an inch all day as you could expect. So, it was up to Terrigal to earn the victories they created on the day. The day started with the Colts playing open and flowing football securing a victory of 34-0 which set the standard for the day. Our Third Grade showed they are really coming together as a team and scored some of the best Third Grade tries seen at The Haven in many years finishing with a win The Second Grade team had a must win situation where

A great result for Terrigal with a victory of Our First Grade team came out strong in the first quarter, crossing for a try in the first few minutes. However, Avoca controlled much of the first half going to the break. Terrigal had their chances early to put more points on the board but could not convert against the strong defensive efforts of Avoca. Marc Koteczky kicked a penalty goal late in the first half to narrow the gap to at the break. Terrigal had to come up with something special in the second half and went on to produce the best 40 minutes of rugby they have played all year where all players contributed to the team. There were people who had spectacular games including the forward pack led by Alex Brewin, Joe Taylor, Mike Ozdilli and flanker Salipopo Pamata creating a pathway for our back line to produce some amazing rugby to win the game Fly-half, Marc Koteczky had a very solid game and was outstanding with the boot landing 7 from 7. Congratulations to the First Grade team and coaching staff for their superb efforts on the day. The First Grade victory song was joined by kids and family members of the players. This is what being a Trojan is all about. It really lifted the level to what we are trying to achieve as a Club. Afterwards, there was a strong contingent back in the Clubhouse where we celebrated a great day of rugby with the Avoca Club.

6 The crowd at the Haven Thank you to Major Sponsor - CCMG for their support on the day BOAT RACE Taity, as MC, started the boat race which ended well with a convincing win for the Trojans capping off a highly successful day with all four men's grades delivering wins and the Women's 7s delivering a win and a close loss.

7 The Boat Race team of Admiral Date, Meaty, Jim and Frankie delivered a solid victory. WE NEED YOUR OLD GEAR FOR FIJI NOW! There is only one week to go before the Bula Bin leaves for Fiji and the organisers are desperate for more rugby gear to be donated. This year we have only received very minimal donations, so anything would be a great hand. Anything you have including balls, jerseys, boots, school supplies, books and kids clothes for the village tour would be most welcome.

Game 1: Game 2: 12:30 pm 1:20 pm This is the Women s first match at Mark Taylor Oval and they are very excited to play directly before Second Grade.
