2 THE FIRST MEDITERRANEAN KUNG FU CHAMPIONSHIPS COMPETITION GENERAL INFORMATION 2 DATE & PLACE The First Mediterranean Kung Fu Champinships will take place between December 1 and 3, 2017 in Athens, Greece. QUALIFICATIONS Thse eligible t participate are Natinal Mediterranean Teams frm IWUF member cuntries that are members f the Internatinal Cmmittee f Mediterranean Games: Africa (Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Mrcc and Tunisia); Asia (Lebann and Syria); Eurpe (Albania, Andrra, Bsnia and Herzegvina, Cratia, Cyprus, Frmer Yugslav Republic f Macednia, France, Greece, Italy, Malta, Mnac, Mntenegr, San Marin, Serbia, Slvenia, Spain and Turkey). Other Natinal Federatins culd be allwed t participate t the First Mediterranean Kung Fu Champinships nly with the authrizatin f the Wrking Grup fr Mediterranean Wushu. Each participating cuntry may at mst submit ne (1) team. Each participating cuntry s team may at mst register: One (1) team leader; One (1) cach; One (1) dctr; Up t tw (2) judges; The number f athletes permitted is nt limited. Each Kung Fu cmpetitr shuld bring alng with them a valid health certificate (including electrcardigram ECG, pulse and bld pressure) issued within 30 days prir t the beginning f the cmpetitin signed by a qualified dctr and a Life Accidental Injury Insurance Certificate. All cmpetitrs are required t submit a cmpleted and signed waiver f liabilities frm. AGE CATEGORIES Age Categries fr Individual Events: Grup A: 12 years f age and belw (brn n r after January 1st, 2006); Grup B: Frm 12 t 17 years f age (brn between January 1st, 2000 and December 31st, 2005); Grup C: Frm 18 t 39 years f age (brn between January 1st, 1978 and December 31st 1999); Grup D: Frm 40 t 59 years f age (brn between January 1st 1958 and December 31st 1977); Grup E: 60 years f age and abve (brn n r befre December 31st 1957). COMPETITION EVENTS The cmpetitin includes individual cmpetitin events. The cmpetitin rules applied will cnfrm t the rules fr Internatinal Wushu Talu Cmpetitin in the part f the Scring Methds & Criteria fr Events withut Specific Requirements fr Degree f Difficulty. Individual Bare Hand Rutine Events (15 events divided int male and female categries): Taijiquan Type Events: Chen Style (Perfrmance Cntent Limited t: La Jia Yi Lu, La Jia Er Lu, Xin Jia Yi Lu, Xin Jia Er Lu, Cmpulsry 56 Psture Rutine, IWUF New Cmpulsry Chen Style Taijiquan Rutine); Yang Style (Perfrmance Cntent Limited t: 108 Psture Rutine, Cmpulsry 40 Psture Rutine, IWUF New Cmpulsry Yang Style Taijiquan Rutine);

Individual Weapn Rutine Events: Single Weapn Rutine (Da, Jian, Gun, Qiang, Puda, Guanda, Taiji Jian). Duble Weapn Rutine (Shuang Da, Shuang Jian). EVENT TIME LIMITS Traditinal bare hand rutines and traditinal weapn rutines may nt exceed tw (2) minutes in ttal. Taijiquan rutines may nt exceed fur (4) minutes in ttal. (During a perfrmance, the head judge will signal the 3 minute mark by blwing a whistle.). Taiji weapn rutines may nt exceed three (3) minutes in ttal. (During a perfrmance, the head judge will signal the 2 minute mark by blwing a whistle.). Fr cmpulsry taijiquan and cmpulsry taiji weapn rutines, there will be n pint deductins fr the missin f set techniques. 4 ARRIVAL AND REGISTRATION All participating teams and technical fficials are required t arrive at the designated registratin bth and register with the Organizing Cmmittee n December 1, Arrival after the designated time may result in disqualificatin f the participant in questin. Any entry nt duly cnfirmed at the Technical Meeting, will nt be taken int cnsideratin except fr frce majeure. TECHNICAL MEETING The Technical Meeting fr team leader and caches will take place at the designated place n December 1, 2017 in the afternn during which all matters related t the cmpetitin will be annunced. PLACING AND AWARDS Individual 1 st place Gld Medal; 2 nd place Silver Medal; 3 rd place Brnze Medal; FINANCIAL CONDITIONS The internatinal airfare and related travel expenses, as well as accmmdatin/participatin fees f all participants (athletes, judges and team fficials) shall be brne by the teams themselves. ACCOMMODATION The fficial htel t be used is : President Htel Athens 4 star ( ) Accmmdatin will be based n a per persn per day fr ne persn in a single rm, tw peple in a duble rm and three peple sharing a three bed rm. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and transprtatin are included in the price. Lunch will be prvided in the stadium. Csts : Single Rm : 77,00 eur per persn per day Duble Rm : 60,00 eur per persn per day Three Bed Rm : 55,00 eur per persn per day Any extra csts assciated with rms (mini-bar, sauna etc.) shall be the respnsibility f the individual. Only fficial htel will be used. Participants shall be required t use the fficial htel as a cnditin f participatin fr the reasn that we have already bked the htel rms. 5 DOPING CONTROL Dping cntrl culd be cnducted during the First Mediterranean Kung Fu Champinships accrding t the requirements f the Internatinal Wushu Federatin and the Wrld Anti Dping Agency. COSTUMES AND EQUIPMENT Cmpetitrs shall wear traditinal wushu cmpetitin cstumes and shes during all events.
