1 7 th MARES Underwater Pht Marathn Underwater phtgraphy cntest 2019 GENERAL INFORMATION Submitted phtgraphs are separated in tw categries accrding t camera type: DSLR and cmpact. Cmpetitin is divided int six pht categries and ne VIDEO: Ambient Phtgraphy with r withut a mdel Fish Phtgraphy Macr Cave & Caverns Fashin and Creative Phtgraphy Best diving destinatins Phtgraphy (5 phts) Ambient phtgraphy with r withut a mdel Fish Macr Cave & Caverns Fashin and Creative phtgraphy Best diving destinatins (5 phts) VIDEO New! The registratin/applicatin fee fr "Underwater Pht Marathn" cntest is 25, and fr all the cmpetitrs frm Cratian is free. After the jury assesses the wrk, the fficial results f the cmpetitin will be published n the website All materials shuld be upladed thrugh the website until April 1 st 2019 at 23:59:59. In case f technical issues, please send the materials with the filled registratin frm t uwphtmarathn@gmail.cm with the subject Underwater Pht Marathn 2019 (all candidates are bliged t fill the registratin frm with full name, address, T-shirt size, address and camera type DSLR r cmpact when submitting their phtgraphs). Cmpetitin is pen frm February 1 st, 2019 until April 1 st, All phts sent after this perid will nt be taken int cnsideratin.

2 COMPETITION RULES - PHOTO 1. The cmpetitin is pen fr tw types f camera: DSLR and cmpact. All hybrid cameras with interchangeable lenses ges int DSLR categry. 2. Except the internatinal part f cmpetitin there will be a Cratian cmpetitin where nly cmpetitrs frm the Republic f Cratia will be judged in the s-called MARES UWPM 2019 Natinal Champinship Cratia. 3. The cmpetitin is pen fr underwater phtgraphers using digital cameras with r withut underwater husing, regardless f the equipment they use. 4. All submitted phts must have been taken by the entrant. 5. Only phts that have nt already been awarded at this r similar events can be submitted. Only in the categry "Best diving destinatins" can be phts that have already been awarded in similar cmpetitins. 6. In the categry, BEST DIVING DESTINATIONS there must be submitted 5 phtgraphs r it cannt be taken int cnsideratin and the categry will be disqualified. 7. All phts shuld nt be lder than 3 years ie. t be phtgraphed after the date f All phts must be sent in JPEG frmat and can be in black and white r clr. 9. Only ne pht is permitted per authr per cmpetitin categry and can be submitted int bth camera categries DSLR and cmpact. If the cmpetitr enters phts in bth categries (DSLR and cmpact), in that case registratin fees fr bth categries have t be paid. 10. Limited pst-prcessing is allwed (Phtshp, Picasa ), in terms f crrecting levels, curves, saturatin, clr, cntrast and cleaning with tls such as Clne Stamp Tl. Pht verlapping and/r duble expsure is allwed, but frames and cpyrights (signature) are nt allwed. Crpping is allwed up t 20% f the riginal pht size. 11. Minimal size f the phtgraph in the lngest dimensin is 2000 pixels. 12. A candidate must have the riginal pht (preferably in RAW frmat), which they must send t the rganizer if requested. 13. All phts must have EXIF infrmatin available (Exchangeable Image File Frmat), which cntain details abut the type f camera used and the date when the pht has been taken. 14. All phts have t be taken in a natural underwater envirnment. Under-vers r Half & half s phts are allwed, as lng as the underwater part is at least 50% f the pht. 15. Fashin and Creative categry may cmbine underwater and land cmpnents, as lng as the underwater part takes up ver 50% f the pht. Phts taken in pls and ther bdies f water with the use f varius prps and/r installatins will als be accepted in this categry. 16. All phts nt meeting listed criteria will be disqualified. 17. Phtgraphers keep the cpyrights t their phts.

The rganizer (Diving Club Rniti se mra ) will display and intrduce the best 60 phts at the exhibitin, and reserves the right t publish the phts in print and / r Web editins with the publicatin f the authr s name. JURY 19. The rganizer will display the best 60 phts at Underwater Pht Marathn exhibitin, after which will be presented as required by ther spnsrs. 20. The registratin fee fr the cmpetitin is 25 and payment is made thrugh Paypal service, and fr all the cmpetitrs frm the Cratian registratin fee is free. 21. Yu can enter the cmpetitin with a maximum 5 sets f phtgraphs. Frm 1 set f phtgraphs ne pht enters in each categry. The registratin fee fr 1 set is 25, fr 2 sets 50, fr 3 sets 70, fr 4 sets 90 and fr 5 sets Fr each set f phtgraphs, additinal registratin is required with a new address. Other cmpetitr data can remain the same. 23. The verall winner f the 7 th MARES UWPM is determined by the sum f pints f the best 4 phts in 1 set. The phts frm the Best diving destinatin are nt included in the scring fr the verall winner. 24. Cave and Caverns d nt enter the categry Ambient with r withut mdel but these phts will have t be entered in the categry (Cave & Caverns) The jury cmprised f seven members will judge the phts upn submissins deadline. The jury s decisin is final, n appeals are allwed. AWARDS The rganizer is bliged t present awards in every categry fr the first three places, and an verall winner, as well as the award fr the Best f shw. The awards ceremny is the subject f further decisins f the Organizer. All cmpetitin winners will be infrmed via e mail and web site In case that a winning authr is nt able t attend the expsitin pening and the award ceremny, their award can be claimed up t 30 days after the exhibitin pening f the MARES UWPM r can be shipped t their address at their wn cst. 4 VIDEO CLIPS 7 TH MARES UWPM 2019 RULES & REGULATIONS - VIDEO 1. Final deadline fr submitting vides is April 1 st, Any single VIDEO clip must be minimum 30 secnds and maximum 200 secnds in duratin. At least 70% f the vide must be sht underwater. 3. The theme f the vide clip is pen and can be set accrding t the authr s chice. 4. One authr is entitled t submit a maximum f 5 (five) vides t the Cntest. 5. Entry fees fr Vide submissins are: 25 fr 1 (ne) vide; 50 fr 2 (tw) vides; 70 fr 3 (three) vides; 90 fr 4 (fur) vides; 100 fr 5 (five) vides. Fr Cratian cmpetitrs entry is free f charge. 6. Vides must nt be taken in aquariums, r f captive animals in any situatin. If the judges assume the animal has been distressed r mved frm its natural habitat, the vide in questin shall be disqualified. 7. Vide clips submitted may include a sundtrack, headings, titles, credits, textual elements, graphics, vice-vers, narratins and ther features. All elements will be accunted as part f the maximum vide duratin. 8. It is frbidden t make any kind f barter arrangement between authrs, such as t submit vides in ne's wn name but which anther videgrapher has taken. The cmpetitin is cnducted individually and rules f ethics must be adhered t. USE OF VIDEO CLIP MATERIALS 1. By enrlling the cmpetitin, participants agree that the submitted vides may be used r reprduced fr the media cverage f this event and fr the prmtin f future cmpetitins in all media channels, including Internet, YuTube, TV. 2. Submitted material shall indefinitely remain in the UWPM archives withut the requirement f further permissin fr usage. 3. Vide credits will be given t the authr when applicable.

5 4. Submissin f material and participatin in the cmpetitin entails an autmatic acceptance f all f the abve. 5. Use f vides as described abve will require n additinal written r verbal permissins frm the authr. COPYRIGHT I hereby declare that I'm the rightful wner f all cpyrights t the afrementined vide submitted t the Mares UWPM cmpetitin. This vide/image was prduced by me and my prductin team, including the featured sundtrack fr which I've purchased the rights t use (r are ryalty free), and I wn the rights t sell, distribute, rent r bradcast it in any way r frm, including private, public and cmmercial use, n scial netwrks, TV channels and anywhere in the wrld. I hereby grant the Mares UWPM prductin team with the right t use this vide submitted t the cmpetitin fr the purpse f prmting and marketing the cmpetitin in any frm fund apprpriate by the prductin.
