The ACC, with nominations from its 12 member institutions, will designate approximately 24 media members who regularly cover ACC Women s Basketball regularly to the panel. The two dozen individuals cannot be directly affiliated with an ACC program and do not necessarily have to come from the schools geographical areas. In addition, each school will be permitted to nominate one at-large member, who is affiliated with the institution (i.e., school radio personality or school newspaper beat writer), to serve on the panel. Both of these groups will be asked to commit to a two-year term and will be held accountable to voting on a consistent basis, including Player and Rookie of the Week selections, which will be announced on Monday afternoons. In addition to the 36 members, the league s media relations office will invite additional national and selected persons to the panel, including ACC television partners. Finally, all 12 league head coaches will receive one ballot to vote on preseason and postseason accolades; however, they will not be permitted to vote on a weekly basis or for their own studentathletes. The designated Blue Ribbon panel will also be responsible for naming the All-ACC teams, All-Freshmen team, Coach of the Year, Player of the Year, and Rookie of the Year, while the All-Defensive, Defensive Player of the Year and Sixth Player of the Year honor will be voted on by the league s 12 head coaches.
