14 Dear Patrons We are pleased to announce that as of July 1, 2018 the Lifesaving Society will become the sole Authorized provider for the Town of Ingersoll, Parks and Recreation Department. The Aquatics department will be offering the Lifesaving Society Swim for Life Program. What does this mean for you? Through one organization we will be providing a seamless flow of swim levels from Parent/ Tot through to lifeguarding / instructor certifications and beyond. As we move forward, we will be able to offer a larger variety of programs e.g. Junior lifeguard club, lifesaving fitness etc. As part of this transition our registration procedures will change to allow patrons to know exactly what level to register for by having registration start after each session is completed. Registration for the upcoming sessions will begin the day after the current session has ended and will be open for 1 week. During this break week between sessions our certified swim instructors will be available to provide private lessons and stroke Improvement classes. Registration is required for both of these programs. Please use the following guidelines when registering your child: 1) What type of lesson do you want: A) Group allows children of the same age/ability to learn & try new things together B) Private for those children that require a one on one instruction C) Stroke Improvement - for those interested in improving their technique and efficiency 2.
