CAMP RANDALL STADIUM 80,321 ABC RIVALS RENEW BATTLE FOR THE BULL Sixth-ranked Wisconsin (9-0, 6-0 Big Ten) renews its rivalry with No. 25 Iowa (6-3, 3-3) Saturday as the battle for the Heartland Trophy returns to Camp Randall Stadium. The winner of the Iowa-Wisconsin matchup has gone on to represent the West Division in the Big Ten Championship Game in each of the first 3 seasons of the league s East- West divisional split (Wisconsin, 2014, 2016; Iowa, 2015). Wisconsin holds a 6-5 lead in the series since the Heartland Trophy debuted in KEY NOTES TO CONSIDER Wisconsin is in its third season under 2016 Hayes- Schembechler Big Ten Coach of the Year Paul Chryst, who is 30-6 (.833) at his alma mater, including a 19-4 (.826) mark in Big Ten play. Read more on Page 10. Chryst is just the fourth head coach in Big Ten history to win 30 games in his first 3 seasons, joining Ohio State s Urban Meyer (38, ), Michigan s Fielding Yost (33, ) and Ohio State s Jim Tressel (32, ). At 9-0, Wisconsin is one of 5 remaining unbeaten FBS teams, joining No. 1 Alabama (9-0), No. 2 Georgia (9-0), No. 7 Miami (8-0) and No. 14 UCF (8-0). Wisconsin, Alabama and UCF are the only FBS teams that have not trailed in the second half of any game this season. Dating back to their win in the Cotton Bowl on Jan. 2, the Badgers have won 10 consecutive games, matching Georgia for the nation s second-longest active win streak. Only Miami (Fla.) has a longer active streak, at 13 games. UW has won 12 straight Big Ten games, the longest conference win streak in school history. The Badgers have won 15 of their last 16 trophy games against rivals Iowa, Minnesota and Nebraska, dating back to The lone loss in that stretch was a 10-6 setback to Iowa in Freshman RB Jonathan Taylor, a semifinalist for the Maxwell Award, leads the Big Ten in rushing and ranks No. 4 nationally at yards per game. He also has scored a league-high 12 rushing TDs. Taylor leads all FBS freshmen in both categories. UW ranks 4th nationally in scoring defense, allowing 13.3 points per game, and stands 5th in total defense, allowing yards per game. The Badgers rank 4th in rushing defense (87.8 ypg) and 5th in passing efficiency defense (99.1). They also lead the nation in opponent red-zone touchdown percentage (29.6%) and rank 5th in sacks (31). With 3.5 sacks over the last 2 weeks (2.0 at Illinois and 1.5 at Indiana), senior DE Alec James has now recorded 5.5 sacks on the season. That s the most for a Wisconsin defensive lineman since J.J. Watt racked up 7.0 sacks in his final season at UW in WISCONSIN BADGERS Head Coach: Paul Chryst Record at WIS: 30-6 (3rd) Overall: (6th) The visiting team has won the last 6 meetings between Wisconsin and Iowa, dating back to 2009, with the Badgers winning the last 4 games in Iowa City and the Hawkeyes winning their last 2 trips to Madison. The Badgers previously won 9 straight league games across the 2006 and 2007 seasons and the 2010 and 2011 seasons. Wisconsin enters Saturday s game at.500 ( ) all-time in Big Ten play. With a win, the Badgers have the opportunity to move their all-time league record above.500 for the first time in 50 years since a 14-9 TEAM INFORMATION loss to Indiana on Nov. 4, 1967 dropped them to By the end of the 1992 season, the Badgers were 62 games under.500 ( ) in Big Ten play all-time. In the 25 seasons since, Wisconsin has posted a record of (.656) in conference play and claimed 6 Big Ten championships. CHRYST CALLS THE SHOTS With records of 10-3, 11-3 and 9-0 in his first 3 seasons at the helm of his alma mater, Paul Chryst looks to join Michigan s Fielding Yost ( ) and Ohio State s Urban Meyer ( ) as the only coaches in league history to win 10-plus games in each of their first 3 seasons. Chryst was 1 of 15 head coaches to start at an FBS program in Of the 12 who remain with the program they joined for the 2015 season (Jim McElwain of Florida, Tom Herman of Houston and Gary Andersen of Oregon State are no longer with those programs), Chryst has the highest win percentage, at.833 (30-6): WIN PCT., CLASS OF 2015 COACHES Coach School Record (Pct.) Chryst developed a reputation for building highly-efficient offenses during his time as the Badgers offensive coordinator from Over his last two seasons ( ), the Badgers averaged 42.9 points per game, ranking third among Power Five teams over that time frame only Oregon (46.5 ppg) and Oklahoma State (46.5) averaged more. DEFENSE DOMINATING AGAIN Wisconsin has had 3 defensive coordinators in as many seasons, but the Badgers are once again performing like one of the nation s best units under first-year coordinator Jim Leonhard. The Badgers led the nation in scoring defense in 2015 (13.7 ppg), ranked fourth in that category in 2016 (15.6 ppg) and are once again off to a strong start (13.3 ppg), ranking in a tie for fourth: WISCONSIN DEFENSE RANKS FBS Category Rank Avg. The contest has preceded each game between the Badgers and Hawkeyes since 1995 and pits the teams student managers against one another in a flag football game held on the eve of the main event. Including a win in the inaugural game in 1991, Iowa s managers lead the Rusty Toolbox series 11-10, but UW s managers currently possess the Rusty Toolbox and are riding a 6-game win streak that dates back to The 22nd edition of the battle for the Rusty Toolbox will be held Friday inside the McClain Center. Since moving to a 3-4 defensive alignment in 2013, Wisconsin has allowed just 16.2 points per game. Only Alabama (14.4 ppg) has allowed fewer points over that 5-year stretch. Clemson (19.0), Ohio State (19.5) and Michigan (19.5) round out the top 5 scoring defenses of the past 5 seasons. The Badgers have allowed just 12 touchdowns this season, matching Georgia for the third-fewest of any FBS team. Only Alabama (10) and Washington (11) have allowed fewer total TDs. Wisconsin has held 7 of its 9 opponents under 300 yards of total offense, including holding conference foes Northwestern (244) and Purdue (221) under 250 yards. Only Georgia (8) and Michigan (8) have held more opponents under 300 total yards this season. BACKED UP, NO BACKING DOWN Wisconsin s defense has taken over in sudden change situations 15 times this season (following 8 interceptions, 6 fumbles and a blocked punt) and has allowed opponents to convert just 6 of those 15 opportunities into scores 3 TDs and 3 FGs. Wisconsin s defense has been at its best when defending a short field. Of the 11 opponent drives that have started in Badgers territory including a Maryland drive that originated on the UW 5-yard line only 3 have found the end zone. RED MEANS STOP The Badgers lead the nation in opponent touchdown percentage in the red zone at 29.6%, allowing TDs on just 8 the 27 opponent drives that have traveled inside the Wisconsin 20 yard line. TCU (36.8%) ranks No. 2 among Power Five programs. UW also ranks No. 3 among Power Five teams in overall red zone scoring defense, allowing points on 70.4% (19 of 27) of opponents red zone drives. That includes 8 TDs and 11 field goals. Only TCU (63.2%) and USC (70.3%) have been more stingy inside the 20. SACK ATTACK The Badgers have spent more time in opponents backfields this season, racking up 31 sacks to rank second in the Big Ten and fifth nationally. USC (34.0) leads the nation, followed by Clemson (33.0), Michigan (32.0), Texas A&M (32.0) and the Badgers. With 5.0 at Illinois on Oct. 28 and 4.0 last week at Indiana, the Badgers have logged 9.0 sacks over the last 2 weeks. UW s average of 3.4 is a full sack per game better than its mark of of 2.4 sacks per game in Incredibly, the Badgers have made that jump despite the loss of both of their play-making outside linebackers from last season: first-round NFL draft pick T.J. Watt (Pittsburgh) and fourth-round selection Vince Biegel (Green Bay). Wisconsin has not averaged 3.0 sacks per game in a season since 1998, when the Badgers finished their 12-game slate with 42 sacks (3.5 per game). Senior OLB Garret Dooley ranks 2nd in the Big Ten with 6.5 sacks on the season, with senior DE Alec James (5.5) ranking 5th and and junior OLB Andrew Van Ginkel (5.0) ranking in a tie for 6th in the league, at 4.0 sacks. Senior OLB Leon Jacobs also has logged 2.5 sacks. Wisconsin s average is buoyed by the 8 sacks the Badgers tallied vs. Northwestern, which marked UW s highest sack total since logging 8 vs. Penn State in Dooley led the way vs. Northwestern, contributing to 5 of the Badgers 8 sacks (2 solo, 3 assist) to finish with a total of 3.5 sacks. Dooley s 5.0 TFLs vs. Northwestern rank in a tie for the fifth-highest single-game total in school history, and the most since Alex Lewis had a school-record 6.5 TFLs vs. Purdue on Oct. 18, Including a season-high 11 tackles for loss vs. Northwestern, the Badgers are averaging 7.0 TFLs per game on the year well ahead of last year s average of 5.3 TFLs per game. UW has recorded at least 8.0 tackles for loss 4 times this season, something the Badgers failed to do once in PASS AT YOUR PERIL Wisconsin ranks 5th nationally in passing efficiency defense, holding opponents to a pass efficiency rating of just Alabama (97.8), Boston College (98.2), Miami (98.3) and Michigan (98.6) are the only other Power Five teams with opponent ratings of less than 100.

The Badgers average of 7.1 passes defended per game is a major improvement over last season s mark of 5.7 an average that was still good enough to rank 11th among FBS programs in No program is disrupting passes at a higher rate this season than the Badgers, who have recorded 64 passes defended on 284 opponent passing attempts, or 22.5%. UW posted a mark of 18.3% last season. Rutgers (21.7%), Duke (20.9%) and LSU (20.2%) are the only other programs to defend at least 20 percent of their opponents passing attempts this season. The Badgers have logged a combined 19 passes defended (15 PBUs, 4 interceptions) over their last 2 games. Junior CB Nick Nelson is leading the way with 18 pass breakups, already the secondbest single-season total in UW history (see list, Page 15). That includes 8 PBUs over the last 2 weeks 4 each in the Badgers wins at Illinois and Indiana. Nelson leads the nation in pass breakups (18), leading Iowa s Josh Jackson (15) and Ohio s Bradd Ellis in that category. Nelson ranks No. 2 in total passes defended, with 18, and trails only Jackson s total of 20 (15 breakups and 5 interceptions). Nelson s current average of 2.0 passes defended per game would have been the nation s top mark in 9 of the last 10 seasons (Houston s William Jackson III had 2.15 to lead the country in 2015). PLAYING TAKEAWAY A year after matching the single-season program record with 22 interceptions in Leonhard s first season in charge of the secondary in 2016, UW has already picked off 14 passes in its first 9 games of Wisconsin has turned 4 of those picks into quick points: INTERCEPTION RETURN TDS IN 2017 Player Opponent Distance Joe Ferguson Utah State 99 yards Natrell Jamerson Northwestern 36 yards Chris Orr Nebraska 78 yards T.J. Edwards Maryland 54 yards UW s 4 interception return TDs matching Duke and Texas for the most of any team this season are the most for the Badgers program in a season since at least GAME NOTES The Badgers have scored 97 points off their 19 forced turnovers this season (14 INTs, 5 fumble recoveries), while allowing opponents to score just 37 points off the 15 turnovers UW has lost. Dating back to last season, the Badgers have forced 33 turnovers over their last 14 games including 3 games in which UW recorded 4 takeaways each. NOWHERE TO RUN The Badgers have held 5 of their 9 opponents to fewer than 100 rushing yards while giving up an average of just 87.8 yards per game the nation s fourth-best mark behind TCU (69.7), Alabama (75.8) and Michigan State (87.0). Dating back to last season, UW has held 9 of its last 15 opponents under 100 rushing yards. Wisconsin allowed Northwestern to rush for just 25 yards on Sept. 30, its fewest allowed to a Big Ten opponent since holding Michigan State to 25 rushing yards on Nov. 1, Wisconsin has allowed just one individual 100-yard rusher Nebraska s Devine Ozigbo (112 yards on Oct. 7, 2017) in its last 22 games. UW has allowed just 3 rushing touchdowns on the year, matching Alabama and Washington for the fewest in the FBS. NO BIG DEAL The Badgers are limiting big plays, having allowed just 27 plays of 20-plus yards. Among Power Five teams, only Washington (14) and Alabama (25) have allowed fewer explosive plays on the season. TAYLOR TIME Freshman RB Jonathan Taylor has his career off to a fast start, averaging a Big Ten-leading rushing yards per game to rank No. 4 among FBS players. He trails only Stanford RB Bryce Love (182.0 ypg), San Diego State RB Rashaad Penny (160.2) and Arizona QB Khalil Tate (155.3) in rushing. Taylor has scored a Big Ten-leading 12 rushing touchdowns over his first 9 games, leading Michigan s Karan Higdon (10) and Penn State s Saquon Barkley (9). Taylor leads all FBS freshmen in both rushing and total touchdowns. Taylor reached 1,000 rushing yards in his 7th game, matching the FBS freshman record for fewest games needed to record 1,000 yards. He joins Florida s Emmitt Smith (1987), San Diego State s Marshall Faulk (1991), Oklahoma s Adrian Peterson (2004), North Texas Jamario Thomas (2004) and Wisconsin s own P.J. Hill (2006) on that list. Taylor joins Smith, Faulk, Peterson and Thomas in achieving the feat as a true freshman. Taylor also became the fastest UW freshman to reach 1,000 yards in terms of carries. He eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark on his 130th 5

Taylor is 1 of just 3 FBS players to record three 200-yard rushing games in 2017, joining San Diego State RB Rashaad Penny and Hawaii RB Diocemy Saint Juste. Taylor logged 223 yards vs. Florida Atlantic, 249 yards at Nebraska and 219 yards vs. Purdue. Only 3 active FBS players own more 200- yard games in their careers than Taylor s 3: Old Dominion RB Ray Lawry (4), New Mexico State RB Larry Rose III (4) and Hawaii RB Diocemy Saint Juste (4). Each of those players are seniors. Taylor is just the sixth FBS freshman since 2000 to post 3 games of 200-plus rushing yards in a season, and the first since Oklahoma s Samaje Perine in He joins North Texas Jamario Thomas (6 games, 2004); Michigan s Mike Hart (3, 2004); Oklahoma s Adrian Peterson (3, 2004); Northwestern s Tyrell Sutton (3, 2005) and Perine (3, 2014) on that list. Taylor is the second true freshman in Wisconsin history to record multiple 200- yard rushing games. He joins 1999 Heisman Trophy winner Ron Dayne also a New Jersey native who had 5 games of 200- plus yards as a true freshman in In hitting the 200-yard mark in consecutive games vs. Nebraska and Purdue, Taylor became the first Big Ten freshman with back-to-back 200-yard games since Michigan s Mike Hart in Taylor has averaged 7.2 yards per carry, the fourth-best mark nationally among players with at least 125 carries on the season. He trails only Stanford s Bryce Love (9.6 ypc), Notre Dame s Josh Adams (8.7 ypc) and Army s Ahmad Bradshaw (8.0) in that category. The only player in UW history to average at least 7.0 yards per carry in a season is Melvin Gordon, who averaged 7.8 ypc in 2013 and 7.5 ypc in 2014 on his way to winning the Doak Walker Award and finishing runner-up for the Heisman Trophy. GAME NOTES The explosive Taylor has posted 44 runs of 10-plus yards, tied for the second-most of any FBS player behind Florida Atlantic RB Devin Singletary (47). Including most recently a 67-yard TD run vs. Purdue on Oct. 14, Taylor owns 3 runs of 60-plus yards. Only Notre Dame s Josh Adams (7), Stanford s Bryce Love (6), San Diego State s Rashaad Penny (5) and Arizona s Khalil Tate (4) have more. Taylor, who missed the second half at Illinois on Oct. 28 due to injury, has appeared in the fourth quarter in only 6 of UW s 9 games this season. He has recorded a total of just 27 fourth-quarter carries. SECOND HALF STARS The Badgers have outscored their opponents in the second half this season. That includes a margin in the fourth quarter. Wisconsin has not trailed in the second half this season, joining Alabama and UCF as the only teams that can make that claim. In 9 games, opposing offenses have scored just 5 touchdowns on Wisconsin s defense in the second half this season. Not only has the Badgers defense been stingy after halftime, but the unit also has put up 18 points of its own in the second half of games: interception return TDs vs. Utah State (Joe Ferguson) and Northwestern (Natrell Jamerson) and safeties against BYU (Mike Maskalunas sack) and Northwestern (D Cota Dixon sack). The Badgers have allowed only 305 rushing yards (33.9 per game) and 1 rushing touchdown in the second half of games this season. OFFENSE ON POINT The Badgers have topped the 30-point mark in 7 of their 9 games this season. Dating back to last year, the Badgers have reached the 30-point threshold in 11 of their last 14 games and a total of 17 times under Chryst. The Badgers rank third in the Big Ten in scoring offense (36.1 ppg) and total offense (438.8 ypg). Wisconsin leads the Big Ten in rushing, at yards per game. Wisconsin ranks second in the league in passing efficiency (157.4), trailing only Ohio State (167.1). UW also leads the conference at 9.1 yards per passing attempt (the Buckeyes own the No. 2 mark, at 8.6). ALL ON THE LINE Wisconsin s offensive line which includes a starting five comprised of two juniors (LT Michael Deiter and RG Beau Benzschawel), two sophomores (LG Jon Dietzen and RT David Edwards) and a redshirt freshman (C Tyler Biadasz) was named to the midseason honor roll for the Joe Moore Award, which honors the nation s outstanding offensive line. 6

HORNIBROOK HITS THE TARGET Sophomore QB Alex Hornibrook ranks 9th among Power Five quarterbacks in pass efficiency rating (158.3) by completing 64.4% of his passes for 1,728 yards, 15 touchdowns and 9 interceptions. Among Big Ten signal callers, only Ohio State QB J.T. Barrett has a better efficiency mark, at Hornibrook s average of 9.2 yards per attempt ranks 6th among Power Five QBs, a list led by Oklahoma s Baker Mayfield (11.9). The red zone has been a comfortable place to pass for Hornibrook, who owns a pass efficiency rating of inside the 20 the best mark of any FBS player with at least 15 red-zone attempts. He s gone 19-for-27 (.704) for 200 yards, 12 TDs and 1 interception in the red zone. The Badgers have won Hornibrook s last 15 starts the nation s longest active win streak by a quarterback dating back to Oct. 22, Hornibrook owns a 16-2 (.889) record as the Badgers starter, including a 13-2 (.867) mark in Big Ten play. His 16 wins rank as the seventh-most in school history. Hornibrook has thrown for 200-plus yards in 4 games this year and missed that mark by 1 yard vs. Purdue (199) and 3 yards vs. Northwestern (197). He entered the season with 1 career 200-yard game (214 vs. Ohio State on Oct. 15, 2016) to his credit. Hornibrook s 18-for-19 (.947) passing performance at BYU on Sept. 16 put him in elite company alongside former Badgers QB Russell Wilson as the only major college quarterbacks since 2000 to complete at least 94 percent of their passes in a road game. Wilson went 16-for-17 (.941) at Minnesota on Nov. 12, GAME NOTES Hornibrook's 18-for-19 showing set UW's single-game completion percentage record at 94.7%, breaking the record held by Darrell Bevell from a 17-for-18 (94.4%) performance vs. Northwestern in THIRD DOWN LOOKING UP The Badgers have converted 53.5% of their third-down attempts on the season the nation s No. 1 mark, ahead of Army (51.3%). Only 6 of the 130 FBS teams have converted at least 50.0% of their third-down tries this season. Conversely, the Badgers defense has allowed opponents to convert just 32.5% of their third-down attempts. IT S GOOD FOR GAGLIANONE Junior K Rafael Gaglianone is 9-for-11 on field goal attempts this season. Gaglinaone, who missed all but 3 games last season due to injury, has converted 18 of his last 21 field goal attempts, dating back to the 2015 Holiday Bowl. Gaglianone converted a career-long 52-yard field goal on Oct. 28 at Illinois. The kick was the third 50-yarder of Gaglianone s career (51 vs. LSU on Aug. 30, 2014; 50 vs. Iowa on Nov. 22, 2014), matching Taylor Mehlhaff and Philip Welch for the most 50-yarders in school history. The field goal made Gaglianone just the fourth player in school history to score at least 300 points (see list, Page 15), and he now has 310 for his career. Gaglianone also holds the Badgers school record for game-winning field goals, with 4. POLL POSITION At No. 4 last week, Wisconsin had its highest ranking in the Associated Press Top 25 since being ranked fourth over the course of three polls from Oct. 2-16, Wisconsin has been ranked among the top 10 in each of the last 18 Associated Press Top 25 polls (dating back to Oct. 30, 2016), marking the longest run in school history. 10 HEAD COACH PAUL CHRYST HEAD COACH PAUL CHRYST 2016 HAYES SCHEMBECHLER BIG TEN COACH OF THE YEAR Wisconsin football continues to thrive under Paul Chryst s leadership. In his first season as head coach at his alma mater, Chryst led Wisconsin to a 10-3 record in 2015 a run that concluded with a victory over USC in the Holiday Bowl. For an encore, he directed the Badgers to an 11-3 finish in 2016, including a win in the Cotton Bowl and Big Ten West Division championship. Chryst was named the 2016 Hayes-Schembechler Big Ten Coach of the Year and for leading the Badgers to an 11-win season against a schedule that included six matchups with top 10-ranked teams was a national finalist for both The Dodd Trophy and Paul Bear Bryan Coach of the Year awards. A former Wisconsin player and assistant coach and a Madison native, Chryst returned to his roots when he was named the Badgers 30th head coach on Dec. 17, Since then, Chryst has become one of just four coaches in Big Ten history to post double-digit win totals in each of his first two seasons as head coach, joining Michigan legend Fielding Yost and current cotemporaries Jim Harbaugh of Michigan and Urban Meyer of Ohio State. Chryst s 21-6 (.778) overall record marked the best start by a Badgers coach through two seasons, and he is the first UW mentor to win consecutive bowl games to begin a tenure as head coach. UW went 13-4 (.765) in Big Ten games over his first two seasons, with only Ohio State (15-2) posting a better mark in league play across the 2015 and 16 campaigns. Including two seasons at the helm of the program and seven years as the Badgers offensive coordinator, Chryst has overseen some of the nation s best units on both sides of the ball. Across his first two seasons as head coach, Wisconsin boasted one of the nation s truly elite defenses. The Badgers allowed just 14.7 points per game over the 2015 and 2016 seasons, a mark that ranked No. 2 nationally over that span and trailed only Alabama s mark of 14.1 points allowed per contest. Over those two years, Wisconsin also ranked No. 4 in total defense (285.6 yards per game), No. 3 in rushing defense (97.1 ypg) and No. 3 in pass efficiency defense (102.1). During Chryst s seven years as offensive coordinator from , Wisconsin averaged 34.1 points and yards of total offense per game. Both marks were the best in the Big Ten over that span and powered the Badgers to conference titles in 2010 and 2011, remarkable offensive seasons in which UW averaged 41.5 and 44.1 points per game, respectively. Wisconsin had won 10 or more games in a season just three times before Chryst joined the Badgers coaching staff as offensive coordinator in In his nine seasons on staff since, the Badgers posted double-digit win totals seven times and had an overall record of (.765). Before spending the previous three seasons as the head coach at Pittsburgh, where he led the Panthers to three consecutive bowl appearances, Chryst oversaw the most explosive offenses in UW history as the Badgers offensive coordinator. During those seven seasons, Wisconsin claimed a pair of Big Ten titles while piling up a (.761) overall record. Chryst was a three-time letterwinner at UW, where he earned a degree in political science. He and his wife, Robin, have three children: Katy, JoJo and Danny. 10 THE CHRYST FILE Career Record (6th Season): (.662) Record at Wisconsin: 30-6 (3rd Season) Big Ten Record: 19-4 (3rd Season) Bowl Record: 3-1 (.750) Birthdate: Nov. 17, 1965 Hometown: Madison, Wis. Originally opened in 1917, the venerable venue celebrates its centennial in What now stands as the oldest stadium in the Big Ten, Camp Randall was originally used as a Civil War training site. This hallowed ground has seen many upgrades since officially becoming the home of the Badgers in During the Civil War, nearly 70,000 soldiers trained at Camp Randall, which also included a hospital and a prison for Confederate soldiers on its grounds. Named for Alexander Randall, the state of Wisconsin s first wartime governor, the Camp Randall land was returned to state fair property after peace was restored nationally. The fair later moved to Milwaukee, and Wisconsin s Civil War veterans urged the legislature to purchase the land. In 1893, the state presented the site to the university as a memorial athletic field. Since then, Camp Randall Stadium has grown from a small venue with wooden bleachers to one of the largest stadiums in the Big Ten with a capacity of 80,321. One of the nation s most historic college football venues, Camp Randall Stadium also happens to be one of the intimidating for opposing teams, and Wisconsin has made the most of the home-field advantage that the raucous atmosphere provides. Though it has only been a tradition at Camp Randall Stadium since 1998, Jump Around is now a defining part of UW game day. Between the third and fourth quarters, Jump Around by House of Pain is played and the 80,000-plus fans delight in doing as the tune instructs. Jump Around was crowned the winner of Sports Illustrated s Greatest College Football Traditions bracket in 2012 and was named the nation s best tradition in votes contested by SiriusXM College Sports Nation in 2014 and Since the start of the 2004 season, the Badgers have compiled a record (.892) at Camp Randall Stadium. Among Power Five programs, only Ohio State (87-10,.897) has won a higher percentage of its home games in that time frame, with Oklahoma (74-9) also holding an.892 win percentage. Opened in 1917, Camp Randall is the fourth-oldest stadium in the FBS. The only older on-campus facilities are: Georgia Tech (1913), Mississippi State (1914) and Cincinnati (1916). The Camp Randall grounds were used as a Civil War training site. It also held Confederate soldiers, many of whom died and were laid to rest on the west side of Madison. The area known as soldiers rest is the northernmost Confederate cemetery in the United States. Camp Randall Stadium served as a living quarters for students and military personnel during the 1940s. Dormitories were built underneath the east side stands. Approximately 150 men lived there. OLDEST STADIUMS Camp Randall is among the oldest facilities in the FBS: 1.
