RESULTS FROM YESTERDAY FOOTBALL JV Alexandria 13 Rocori 6 The JV Cardinal squad took on the Rocori Spartans on Monday night. It was a great battle from the start. On our first offensive possession, we marched down the field and scored on a Matthew Zick run from 15 yards out. Shane Birkeland's extra point was good. After that it was a defensive battle on both sides. We had a few missed opportunities offensively as a result of turnovers but the defense held strong. Rocori continued attacking us with an effective passing game and scored in the first half but was stopped short on their two point conversion attempt. The halftime score was 7-6 Cards. The second half was again a defensive battle. The Cards scored again on a short pass from Matthew Carlson to Derek Pesta. The PAT was unsuccessful. The Cards held the Spartans scoreless in the second half. We are very proud of how well the guys played was how the game ended. Our next game is on Monday versus Tech. 3 GIRLS SOCCER VARSITY Sartell 3 Alex 2 Cards were in Sartell to take on the Sabres, who are ranked 7th in the state in Class A. Sartell, is a hard place to win and the highly ranked Sabres were the better team. Despite that, the Cards are demonstrating the ability to work hard and remain competitive with the top teams in the schedule, although still coming up just short in the final score. Alex started the scoring when Kaye Paschka had a strong run with the ball on the left side and delivered a shot that the Sartell GK struggled to control. Hailey Eggebraaten was in perfect position to pick up the rebound and give the Cards the lead. The Sabres tied the game in the first half and took the lead with a goal in the second half. The Cards tied it at 2 when Anna Zwilling sent a perfect pass through the Sabre defense to set up Kaye Paschka to score on a breakaway. Despite giving up the winning goal, the Cards played strong and are learning that they can be competitive with any team in our section. We learned early in the season that we would not be competing for a conference championship or a high seed in the section, but our goal was to continue to grow and improve, and by the time the playoffs come, put ourselves in a position to be competitive with any team we come up against. We are on track with that goal. Continued focus and hard work down the stretch; continue to grow; continue to push the top teams in the section - We are focused on setting ourselves up to be successful in the playoffs. GIRL SOCCER JV2 Alexandria 0 - Sartell 1 The Lady Cards faced a tough Sartell team Tuesday night. The teams battled it out. Sartell scored the lone goal with about one minute left in the game. Lizzy Schoenrock had a solid performance in goal turning away many Sartell opportunities. Alex had some great scoring opportunities but faced a tough Sartell keeper. We moved to 7-2 on the season. We will travel to Willmar next week for the last game of our JV2 season.

BOYS SOCCER - VARSITY Sartell 4 Alexandria 1 The game started in a light rain. Sartell got on the board first with a goal in the first minute. The cards answered back in the 12 th minute with a goal for Michael Kuhn assisted by Cameron Rice. The Sabers then scored in the 26 th minute to make the half time score 2-1 in favor of Sartell. The Sabers then scored in the 69 th and 74 th minutes to make the final score 4-1 to Sartell. The boys seemed to be playing tired playing 5 games in the last 9 days against some very fine teams. Our next game is Thursday at Sauk Rapids. BOYS SOCCER JV Alexandria 0 Sartell 4 The Cardinal Boys JV Soccer team hosted the Sabres last evening. A well fought battle for both teams but the Sabres continued to out hassle our Cardinals. This left many opportunities for the Sabres to score. Sabres found goals in the 3rd, 19th, 37th and 50th minutes of play. This loss brings the Cardinal Boys JV team to We get the rest of the week off and will host Wilma at 5pm on AAHS turf. BOYS SOCCER JV2 Cardinals 0 Sartell 0 It was a chilly evening on the pitch as the Cardinals Boys JV2 Soccer Team squared off against the Sartell Sabres. The boys' focus for the game was setting the tone by winning balls and not getting out of position defensively. In the first half, the Cards came out strong, peppering the Sabre keeper. However, no goals were put in the back of the net. In the second half, the Cards continued their strong play. They played well together as a team, building up an offensive attack with short, quick passes. Justin Balcome played very well in goal. The Cards next match is this Thursday as we travel to Sauk Rapids. VOLLEYBALL VARSITY Alexandria 3 St. Cloud Tech , 26-24, The Cardinals swept the Tech Tigers on their home court during last night s CLC match and senior night. After taking a few minutes to recognize both the Cardinal and Tech Seniors for their dedication to their respective programs, warm ups and the match got started. The Cardinals came out strong in the first set, challenging Tech immediately and resulting in a win. In the second set, the team allowed the Tigers to hang around due to some unforced errors and a bit of settling, something we are continuing to work on improving. After regrouping, they came out strong once again in the third set to finalize the match. Erika Roderick did a great job spreading the offense for the night, with 28 set assists. McKenzie Duwenhoegger led the team in kills with 8, followed by Kendra Hardy and Tori Jeseritz with 6, and Mya Lesnar and Mia McGrane with 4 and 3 kills. Devany Johnson continues to play consistently for the Cardinals and led the defense with 13 digs. Roderick contributed 7. Post match, we took some additional time to thank and recognize our outstanding senior players and managers. Alana Rodas, Tori Jeseritz, Courtney Gould, McKenzie Carlson, Emily Aker, Paige Honkomp, Montana Branson, Katlyn Rydberg, and Jadrian Thompson have all be big parts of our program over

6 the years. It was wonderful to take the time to recognize and celebrate them in a little more personalized setting after the match! The Cardinals are on the road tomorrow vs. another CLC opponent, Sartell!
