1 29th International Youth Tournament May 20 th 21 th, 2015 Bussum, the Netherlands Information Pack Dear friends, With our Pinkstertoernooi less than 2 weeks away it is time to send you all some more information. During the last few months we have received many applications for this year s tournament. We will have 30 participating teams with 10 foreign teams, and 8 teams from our own HCAW club. The remaining 12 teams come from other Dutch clubs. In this document you will find information about accommodation, driving instructions to the baseball and softball field, the itinerary, payment method and a list of the participating teams. Kind regards, Sander Fokker Mei Website: pinkstertoernooi@hcaw.nl Accommodation There are three types of accommodation available: - Guest parents - HCAW s practice hall / location nearby - Hotels and camping site International baseball players (Under 13) will stay with guest families. There will be at least 2 players per family. Players do not need to bring their own sleeping bags or mattresses. International softball players (U17) and baseball players (U16 and U22) may stay in the practice hall on our grounds or at a location nearby. However, we do require a minimum of 2 coaches and/or parents to accompany each team for sufficient supervision. Players and coaches/parents need to bring their own sleeping bags and mattresses. For the Dutch teams and all other accompanying supporters, there are hotels and camping sites in the immediate area. You will find a list of hotels and camping site included in this information pack. You will end up at the Huizerweg. Follow this road for approximately 2 kms. At the second roundabout, go left. Follow this road (Laarderweg) also for approximately 2 kms. At the end of the road turn right (Lange Heul). After 200 meters, turn left. Immediately at the right there is the HCAW Baseball Valley. Extra parking is available at the end of this road to the right. Coming from Utrecht: Highway A27 direction Almere. Follow the highway past the exit Hilversum (33). At Knooppunt Eemnes (highway intersection Eemnes) switch to Highway A1, direction Amsterdam. At exit Bussum (7), leave the highway and follow the instructions above. Coming from Amersfoort: Highway A1 direction Amsterdam. At exit Bussum (7), leave the highway and follow the instructions above. Coming from Amsterdam: Highway A1 direction Amersfoort. At Knooppunt Galder (highway intersection Galder) switch to Highway A58, direction Tilburg. At Knooppunt St. Annabosch (highway intersection St. Annabosch) switch to Highway A27 direction Utrecht/Almere. Follow the highway past the exit Hilversum (33). 3 Itinerary S A T U R D A Y All international teams are expected to arrive at the HCAW Baseball and Softball Valley on Saturday May 19th. Please your planned time of arrival, so we know when to expect you. Upon arrival the players that will stay with a guest family will meet their family, who will take them home for dinner at their home. Players and coaches who sleep in the practice hall, will stay at the HCAW Baseball and Softball Valley. They will be served a light meal in the canteen between 18:00 and 19:00 hours (no charge). Vouchers for this meal will be supplied upon arrival. Coach meeting At 17:30 hours a coach meeting will be held. All coaches and umpires are invited to attend this meeting for a briefing. S U N D A Y The tournament will be opened on Sunday morning at 09:00 hours and the first games will begin at 09:30 hours. Throughout the day there are various stalls to visit. For example a hotdog stand, a lottery stand and the HCAW baseball & softball shop. After the games it is possible to enjoy a BBQ meal. During the meal you can watch a baseball game of HCAW s Rookie team at the main field. Please pre-order for the BBQ by sending an to pinkstertoernooi@hcaw.nl subject 'BBQ pinkstertoernooi' and make the payment in advance (see below). Costs are 12,00 per person, reservation is required. A limited amount of tickets will be available on the day itself. Make your payment to: NL29RABO att. HCAW Pinkstertoernooi 2018 subject: 'BBQ Pinkstertoernooi ' and the name of your team Monday This is the last day of the tournament. Activities will be similar to first day. The new timetable will be available at the tournament office and the website. Award ceremony is expected to begin around 17:30 hours, after the last game is played. All teams are expected to depart after the ceremony. Vouchers Vouchers are available for the Saturday light meal and Sunday BBQ. The Saturday vouchers are free of charge for guests staying in the practice hall. Mei 2018 Page 3/9

4 Payment The tournament participation fee is 120 per team, which must be paid before May 14, Please transfer the total amount to the following bank account: NL29RABO att. 7 Parking: Parking is permitted in designated parking spots only. Please note that the police will ticket any illegally parked cars. All parking (also in legal spots!) is at the car owner's risk (beware of foul balls!). More parking facilities are available just beyond the entrance at the right.
