PIERANNUNZI >>Samantha Pierannunzi saw a 23-game reached-base streak halted against Pittsburgh on March 15. >> The streak lasted from Feb. 7 - March 14 and she hit.397 with 20 runs on 25 hits. >> During the streak she hit three doubles, three triples and three home runs, and drew 20 walks. WEATHER OR NOT... >>Mother Nature continues to wreak havoc on the 2015 softball season as 20 games scheduled to be played by ACC teams in the early portions of their seasons were cancelled or postponed as of March 5. >> That number doesn t include the home tournaments that UNC and NC State had to cancel, but each team picked up games at the Eagle Classic hosted by Georgia Southern instead. >> Georgia Tech has had three games postponed due to weather. >> The only ACC series not played due to weather was NC State - Syracuse on opening weekend. YOU DROPPED A BOMB ON ME >>The Yellow Jackets have hit 30 home runs in 44 games this season. >>Five of those homers came in the second game 2
