1 BALTIMORE ORIOLES GAME NOTES Oriole Park at Camden Yards 333 West Camden Street Baltimore, MD Sunday, April 12, 2015 Game #6 Home Game #3 Baltimore Orioles (3-2) vs. Toronto Blue Jays (3-2) RHP Chris Tillman (1-0, 1.35) vs. RHP Drew Hutchison (1-0, 1.50) SEVEN INNING ARMY: RHP Ubaldo Jimenez held the Blue Jays to one hit through 7.0 innings on Saturday night, his eighth career start surrendering one hit or fewer Jimenez retired the first nine batters before allowing a fourth-inning single to Jose Reyes Jimenez also retired 12 of the final 13 batters he faced after walking Reyes in the sixth inning Jimenez was one of five pitchers across the majors to throw at least 7.0 innings and allow twoor-fewer hits on Saturday...Jimenez joined Joe Kelly (BOS), Cole Hamels (PHI), Jimmy Nelson (MIL) and Chris Archer (TB)...According to the Elias Sports Bureau, it was the highest total on one day since there were five such outings on September 23, 2000, when the pitchers were Greg Maddux (ATL), Bartolo Colon (CLE), Kevin Appier (OAK), Kevin Brown (LAD) and Dan Serafini (PIT). GRAND STYLE: 2B Jonathan Schoop belted his first career grand slam in the bottom of the fifth inning on Saturday night...it was the first Orioles grand slam since August 31, 2014 vs. Minnesota (J.J. Hardy)...His four RBI were also a career-high...the Orioles improved to 16-2 in games in which Schoop homers in his career...additionally, it was the third time in his career he has homered in consecutive games, the first since homering in three straight, September 2-4, 2014 vs. Cincinnati...Schoop joins Steve Pearce (April 6-7) as the second Oriole to homer in consecutive games this season. FOUR SEASONS: OF Adam Jones went 4-for-4 with a double and home run in Friday s home opener vs. Toronto, matching a career high with four hits It marked the 14 th time that Jones has notched four hits in a game and first since June 27, 2014 vs. Tampa Bay With his two RBI on April 10, Jones (569) passed Paul Blair (567) for sole possession of 10 th place on the club s all-time list. DISABLED LIST: To begin the season, four players have been placed on the 15-day disabled list...inf J.J.
