Thank you! I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for a truly amazing season. From the fields to the bar to the parties, everything just went smoothly. We have the greatest group of fun and positive kickballers ever, and I am honored to be the rep for this division. Congratulations to The Emperors Club for winning the championship in VERY dramatic fashion (seriously thought I was going to have a heart attack). And congratulations to JFK for having a great run this season. If the VIPs and JFK played 10 times, it'd probably be 5-5, that's how evenly matched these two great teams are... I also want to publicly thank Scotty Moriarty, Matt Wellbrock, and Troy Southall from Rumspringa for staying back and reffing the Finals. Not an easy task, but you guys did an outstanding job. I appreciate it. Also want to thank Trici Fredrick, Ashlee Gitkos, and Andrea Hoffman for all the awesome pictures from week to week. Big shout out to Justin Littell and Bryan Freed too for consistently sending me their game recaps. You guys made the GMOT so much better with your contributions. Once again, thank you all for playing WAKA kickball this season! I hope to see everyone back in April for the spring season!!! In this issue Week 12 Luckie s pictures! Week 12 Recap! All-Time Standings! Tournament Recap! End of Season Party Pictures! 1 st & 2 nd Team All-Peninsula Honors!

Week 12 Recap Rumspringa 2, Chubby Gangsters 1 Last week in the preview section, I predicted this would be a high scoring shootout. So, of course it ended up being a defensive pitcher s duel between the Chubbies Buster Patterson and Springa s Brian Yohn Predictible. With the 5 th seed on the line, both teams were focused. Rumspringa s top of the lineup struck first with their only two runs in the first inning. That s all they d need however, as they locked the Gangbangers offense down and survived some rallies. This would be Rumspringa s fourth win in a row, and set up an epic tournament run for the sophomore squad. Victorious Secret 5, Chicken Tetrazzini 0 Chicken Tetrazzini was big underdogs going into this matchup with 3 rd ranked Victorious Secret, but they managed to keep it respectable. They held VS to 5 runs, however they weren t able to touch home. Gym Tan Kickball 5, New Kicks on the Block 1 The 5 O Clockers notched another win in what would turn out to be a preview of the first round. Foul Balls 5, TailGators 0 (Forfeit)

Jagernauts 5, HRSSC 0 The Hampton Roads Sports & Social Club closed out their season winless, although they did have a good showing against one of the top teams in the division. Sure, they didn t score any runs, and it was their 12 th loss in 12 games, but you gotta look on the bright side. It s progress! Now check out these pics! Trici Fredrick crushes a ball!

Just For Kicks 2, The Emperors Club 2 In a matchup that many correctly predicted would be a preview of the tournament finals, JFK and The VIPs battled for the top seed in the tourney. Both teams were very focused and determined to earn that top spot. JFK struck first by putting up two runs in the early innings. The damage could have been worse, but the VIPs got out of a jam when OF Drew Marshall caught a deep ball in the outfield and relayed it to Anthony Williams who loaded the rocket laser cannon and gunned out speedster Joey Smith, who was attempting to tag from 2 nd, at the plate to end a JFK rally. The out would turn out to be an important one, as this game came down to the wire. Trailing 2-1 going into the home half of the 5 th, Ant Williams got on with a bunt and moved over to 3 rd on Lorraine Adkins successful bunt. Patrick Jones then sent a drive deep to center to score the sacrifice run and tie up the game. JFK managed to hold on to the get the final out and come away with the tie and the number 1 seed in the tourney. However, the VIPs showed character and resiliency in their comeback. Foreshadowing the epic finals match that would follow 3 days later.

Ant Williams slides in for the tying run in the 5 th inning.

WAKA Relay for Life Team Help your WAKA Peninsula kickballers raise money to help the American Cancer Society fight back against cancer. A few of us are in the process of starting a relay team for the Hampton event on May 20 th. We can start the team now and continue it on into our Spring season. If we can put together a full team, relay can be our Spring season charity. In order to join the team you will need to pay a $10 registration fee. Please contact Melissa Rarick (rarickmv@verizon.net) from the Chubby Gangsters if you are interested in joining. For more information about the Hampton relay go to WAKA Hockey Night Buster and Melissa are already looking ahead to after the season, and is organizing a group outing to a Norfolk Admirals game in December. We are looking to keep the Wednesday tradition going. There is an Admirals Hockey game in Norfolk on December 8th. Should be a great time! Respond and let us know if you are interested so we can look into getting group tickets. Invite all your WAKA friends!! To RSVP, please go to the Facebook Event Link at Hopefully, there will be some good fights!

Fall 2010 Division Tournament First Round What a great back and forth contest to kick off the tourney. Both teams exchanged runs back and forth, and at the end of 5 innings, were all locked up at 5 a piece. In WAKA tournament extra innings rules, each team is only allowed to play 8 people in the field (4 male and 4 female). This adjustment wasn t really a big deal for Foul Balls, as they ve been playing that way all morning. In the end though, Chicken Tetrazzini was able to survive the Foul Balls threat and went on to win in the bottom of the 5 th, when Taylor Wilson (I think) came across the plate with the winning run and advanced them to the next round. Chicken Tetrazzini 6, Foul Balls 5

Gym Tan Kickball???, New Kicks on the Block??? Never actually got a score for this one, but I know it wasn t close. Gym Tan Kickball came out strong and dropped a lot of runs on the overmatched New Kicks. As Danielle Bozung later stated, NKotB is not a team of morning people. GTK had big offensive performances from Paul Phan and Kevin Pusateri, who both slammed home runs. Quarter Finals The Emperors Club 16, Gym Tan Kickball 0 This was the first real time these two old Peninsula rivals faced each other this season due to a forfeit in the regular season. The former 5 O Clockers were definitely looking to fist pump their way past the VIPs and onto the next round and exact some revenge on them for stealing the color black. Unfortunately, they were missing a couple of key players including their starting catcher Adam Flowers. Without him, they really had trouble keeping The Emperors Club off the basepaths. Their best bet was to try to get The Emperors Club to a gentlemen s agreement of no bunting during the game. The offer was respectfully declined. ( Fuck that! ) The VIPs scored 16 runs in the first two innings, and shut out the powerful legs of GTK I don t really have anything else to say about the monkey stomp (that s for you, Seko), so I m just going to post a whole bunch of pics of VIP players crossing home.

Rumspringa 8, Jagernauts 4 Recap by Justin Littell, Jagernauts The Fall 2010 Jagernaut season ended bittersweet as the Jagers couldn t pull the shorthanded victory against a well matched Rumspringa team in the opening round of the Peninsula Tournament. The change in tournament schedule left the Jagers a bit short on fielders and a bit creative with the lineup. Notable absences included: Eddie Seavers (traded to New Jersey for a mid level exception), Ashlee and Kevin (part of Sub-Team Gitkos, running a combined 52 miles in a Jagernaut Charity event), John Meier, (scouting in Boston) and Alden Lawrence (coaching a Jagernaut development team), Tom Janule (probably doing something crazy like skydiving or something), and Katie Graham (stuck in a meeting for her kickball fantasy draft). The Jagers adjusted by adopting the patented East Coast Jagernaut Defense; however, with the lack of practice beforehand, Rumspringa accumulated an 8-0 lead going into the third inning. It was at this point where Commissioner Brent Wentworth came over to the Jagernaut sideline and offered some crucial strategy to the short handed Jager team. Coach Katie Litle talked about Brent s advice after the game. He said You guys should start scoring runs, and after that, it just clicked! Joe Mazziti added Brent s advice was good, no wonder he s the Commissioner, I guess that s the part of the game plan we were missing. The Jagers quickly heeded Brent s advice and began to score the runs. They promptly put 4 runs on the board capped by GM Justin Littell s 2 RKI fly ball to left. However, the rally came up short as a good Rumspringa defense held on to the victory. Sara Ruch noted after the game I just wish Brent would have told us to score more runs than the other team we could have adopted that strategy and possibly won! Afterwards, the team wished Rumspringa good luck in the tournament and began making preparations for the offseason.

The Jagers said goodbye to the War Memorial stadium for one last time Saturday afternoon, only to go home and put their party hats on. As the old philosophy goes Mike Ramey said, reflecting on the season Win or Lose, We came for the Booze!, so yeah, it s all good. And I ll be in prime form for next season. Playing kickball was something I dreamed about doing ever since I was in grade school, so you d better believe I ll be back next season! Unwilling to accept not dressing in matching T-shirts and playing with big red balls for 4 months, many of the Jagernauts are going to be playing in the Recess division over the winter. GM Justin Littell, however, will be devoting his energy to signing potential free agents for the spring, leaving Recess team management to Katie Litle. Justin, reflecting on the finality of the season concluded It was a good season. Plenty of friends, lots of booze and a lot of good memories. We ll be sad to lose John and Eddie and I wish them well, but I think we ll be ready to go again in the spring. I might have some tricks up my sleeve! In fitting fashion, both Eddie and John are the inaugural inductions into the Jagernaut Kickball Hall of Fame. In a ceremony recently held at Luckies Dueling Piano Bar, Eddie and John both got a hero s goodbye, signed commemorative copies of Justin Littell s GMOT write-up drafts, a gift card to the Sizzler, and letters of recommendation from team coach Katie Litle. Congratulations guys it was great having you on the team, and good luck!

Just For Kicks 10, Chicken Tetrazzini 1 Andrea Hoffman and Derek Patterson did well to lead the Tetrazzinis to the 2 nd round, but after limiting the high powered JFK offense to 1 run in the first, they were overmatched. JFK nickeled and dimed them to death, putting up runs in nearly every inning en route to their first win of the day. If you want to watch highlights from the game, please visit April Moore s FLICKR page: She captured every pitch of the game!

Victorious Secret 4, Chubby Gangsters 0 Victorious Secret shut down the Gangster offense and set up a final four showdown against their rivals on The Emperors Club. (Sorry for the crappy recap, but I literally heard nothing about this game other than the score.) Jeff The Smooth Operator White and Dr. Jeremy Pinier relax in pregame warm-ups.

Semi-Finals The Emperors Club 5, Victorious Secret 3 Back in week 6, Victorious Secret shut down the VIPs and earned a 1-0 win. This was the only loss on The Emperors Club s record this season. After that game, Victorious Secret celebrated (seriously, almost every single one of them had Shhhhh on their facebook status within 30 seconds of the game ending). And why shouldn t they be proud? They were the first team to shut out the VIPs in years, and due to some personal differences between some of the players on the team, it meant so much more than a regular game Meanwhile, on the VIP side, they licked their wounds, ate some humble pie, made a few adjustments, and bided their time. And when they ended up falling short of the #1 seed, the consolation prize was that they d have a chance to avenge their loss against their rivals on Victorious Secret if they both made the semis It was an opportunity, they would not waste when both teams advanced as expected. Anyways, enough setting up the matchup. To the game The VIPs came out strong in the first inning and d the top of the VS lineup. Which is not the easiest thing to do considering all the speed they have with Dr. Jeremy Pinier and James Salgado at the top. That set the tone for the rest of the game, and a lot of the credit goes to Roger Jackson. He absolutely took over and was making some ridiculous plays from the catcher position. And Patrick Jones caught every ball anywhere near his general vacinity at 1 st base. Despite Roger and PJ being in the zone, VS was still able to score some runs, but the VIPs just kept coming. Taking advantage of a few VS miscues in the 4 th inning, The Emperors Club extended a lead that they would not relinquesh All in all, despite the personal differences and the competitive nature of both teams, it was a very sportsmanlike game between two talented teams. While the VIPs won this game, no doubt these two teams both look forward to many more battles in the future. Lots of respect between the two.

Brent Wentworth (3 rd person alert!) scores an insurance run Kate Barcus sacrifices her body in attempt to get a sliding Patrick Jones at 3 rd. Our worst play in the season caught on film...lol Wes McClain on facebook

JFK 3, Rumspringa 2 On paper, this game looked like a complete mismatch. All signs pointed to a JFK cakewalk to the finals against a team that they beat 10-0 in week 4. Afterall, JFK had been averaging runs per game, and Rumspringa had been allowing nearly 5 runs a game. But as the old saying goes, games aren t played on paper. And whether JFK was looking past them to the finals or what, Rumspringa came to play. Who knew this would go down in history as one of the greatest games in VA Peninsula history? The full JFK vs. Rumspringa game is online at with/ / In the first inning, it looked like every thing was going to go as planned for the number 1 seed. With P Jimmy Wilcox throwing fire, the Springas were retired in order. The highlight of which was Ch Joey Smith gunning the speedy Ricky Dwight Howard-like Smile Holmes out at 1 st. During the home half of the first, the high powered Just For Kicks offense loaded the bases, but the Springa defense bent but did not break and got out of the inning unscathed. From there, both sides settled into a groove. Rumspringa P Gary Weems was throwing some wicked underhanded heat, and Holmes and C Troy Southall were smothering on bunt defense In the bottom of the 5 th, the top of the JFK lineup was coming up with the score all tied up at 0-0. Eric Stevens led off the inning with a short bunt in front of the plate that Southall gobbled up the ball and fired a strike to Berd Weems on 1 st that barely beat out the speedy pirate. Next, Ricky Holmes made an incredible diving catch going into foul terroritory to retire Bryan NoShoes Moore. For the third out, Smith popped out to Holmes, and the game was forced to move to extra innings.

In extra innings, WAKA plays by KC rules. Each team is only allowed to play 8 players in the field, four of each sex, and the last out from the previous inning begins on 2 nd base. In the top of the 6 th, Rumspringa threatened to score when Matt Wellbrock smacked a bloop single to right field, however the relay into the pitcher was fast enough to cut Southall off on the way to home and Rumspringa was denied any runs On to the bottom of the 6 th, JC Cashwell leads off and places a nice kick to short left, but an over-eager Joey Smith got caught off the bag for out number 1 by Holmes who was playing much deeper than he normally would (Great adjustment for the KC rules). From there, Rumspringa caught a Wilcox drive to center and retired Jillian Simms bunt attempt down the 1 st base line. After 6 innings, neither team had managed to break the deadlock Until the 7 th inning that is. Dan Wright lead off with a picture perfect sacrifice bunt down the first base line to move Angie Weatherford over to third. Kecia Warner than dropped a short bunt in, that the JFK defense held to keep Weatherford at third. Brian Yohn than drove in the first run of the game by finding a hole in the D. Yohn than came around to score on the next play from first on a misplayed bunt by Ross Farmer to take a 2-0 lead! Just For Kicks managed to close out the inning, but the damage was done. Now the question was, will Rumspringa be able to hold the potnt JFK offense under the pressure? Bryant Wheels Bethea started off the inning with a bunt single. Phil Nadolski than managed to get on when his sacrifice attempt was bobbled at first. Bases loaded. Nobody out Daniel Shaw s kick rolled straight to first base for the out, but it was enough to drive in his special lady, Jillian Simms to bring the score to 2-1. Next up, Cregan Brady sent a bunt down the right side for out number 2, but it allowed Wheels to come home and tie the game up! Sarah Crecilus than laid down a nice bunt to reach first safely. Rob Lewandowski than came up with a clutch kick, Crecilius narrowly avoided a tag that would have been the third out and Phil Nadolski came through and scored the game winner, sending JFK on to the finals! Just For Kicks scored 136 runs this season, but for 6 innings, Rumspringa held them scoreless. They didn t quite have enough to come away with a ticket to the finals, but they definitely made an impact and had a game kickball fans will be talking about for years. After the game, captain Scott Moriarty said to his team, Next season. That will be us. Next season, we ll be there.

Division Championship The Emperors Club 5, Just For Kicks 4 Most kickball pundits predicted that it d come down to these two titans of the Peninsula, but I don t think they expected this game to go down the way it did. This one was definitely an ESPN Classic! I m going to break it down inning by inning to give this game the recap it deserves! 1 st Inning Anthony Williams managed to reach third base after initially reaching base on a sweet bunt, however, Patrick Jones wasn t able to find a hole and JFK came out unscathed. In the home half, JC Cashwell lead off with a running bunt single. Bryan NoShoes Moore walked. Joey Smith than dropped a bunt down the first base line. When Roger Jackson went to field the ball their was some contact that caused the throw to be just a bit off target. In the resulting play, JC came around to score and suddenly JFK has a 1-0 lead before any outs are recorded Later in the inning, JFK had two outs with the bases loaded and Bryant Wheels Bethea smacked a ball into center field. OF Jesse Jones grabed the ball on the bounce and tossed it to Lorraine Adkins, who couldn t quite hold onto the out for the force. She did get the tag on the person after she overran the bag, however, NoShoe s run counted. After the first frame, the defending champs were down nd Inning The VIPs are not a team to hang their heads when their down, and during their 2 nd time up, they were determined to punch back. Dave Dixon and Brent Wentworth (3 rd person alert!) started it off with a pair of perfect bunts down third. Eric Stevens couldn t quite handle Roger Jacksons bunt and that loaded the bases with no outs. Thomas Juice Welch came up next and nearly found a hole, but Jimmy Wilcox made a great diving effort to knock the ball down in the infield. Joey Abs picked up the ball and got the force out at home for out #1. George The Sex Maker Kiriazidis drove in the VIPs first run on a dribbler down third that Smith struggled to get a handle on. Then Jesse Jones kicked a ball to deep charger, where Joey wisely took the fielders choice out at 3 rd base after realizing that he had no shot at getting the speedy Jackson going home. Wilcox then made a diving catch off the mound to end the inning, but the damage was done. Tie ball game In the bottom of the 2 nd, The Emperors Club looked like they were settling into a groove as they retired the side in order. The highlight of which was Roger s acrobatic catch of a pop-up. 3 rd Inning Ch Joey Smith s throw on Julie Jones bunt was off target, but thanks to some shitty base coaching (my bad), Jones was thrown out trying to advance to 2 nd. Joey then retired Amanda Christensen and Lori Medford to end the inning. Andrew Swenck started it off with a very nice bunt, and moved to 2 nd on an off-target throw by Jackson. Swenck moved to third on Sarah Crecilus sacrifice. He then hustled home the next play, barely beating the throw of PJ after Ashley Williams sacrificed herself at first. That s textbook 101 on how to manufacture runs with the bottom of the lineup. JC then came up and slapped a triple to centerfield while Miley Cyrus

Party in the USA hit the slow part before the chorus. But third base is where he d be stranded as Chris Bundy LeBlanc caught NoShoe s drive to right center. Nonetheless, Just For Kicks had already retaken the lead, th Inning At this point, JFK brought in the closer, JC Cashwell, who is one of the best kickball pitchers in the world. With a slim lead to protect and the top of the VIP lineup due up, Head Coach Bryan Freed was going to pull out all the stops. The tactic worked as he immediately induced Bundy to a pop up to charger. Ant Williams picked him up with a sneaky bunt that Stevens just overran to get on. Eric redeemed himself on the next play though by making a fantastic diving catch on Adkins popped up bunt. Patrick Jones sent a shot to left, but Sarah Rourke (I think that s her. Hard to tell on the clip) was able to easily get under it and record the 3 rd out. Fatigue may have been setting in a bit for fat ass pitcher Brent Wentworth (I ate a lot of food on my cruise to the Bahamas the week before) and he struggled to find the strike zone, walking Joey Smith to start the top of the 5 th. On the next play, Eric Stevens sent a bunt back up to Ch Ant Williams who fired the ball at 2 nd in an attempt to get Smith. The VIP fielder didn t have their foot on the base though, and Joey was able to slide his wonderful abs in safely. Jimmy Wilcox came up next, and although he was battling severe calf cramps at that point, placed a sweet kick into right center to load the bases up with no outs. Sarah Rourke than popped up to Dave Dixon for the first out. Bryant Wheels Bethea than sent a short kick down the first base line that PJ pased to Roger for the force at home. 2 outs (causing Joey to scream, WHY THE FUCK IS HE NOT KICKING?! ) But the VIPs would not escape this jam completely. On the next play, Phil Nadolski hit a blooper to right center that just fell in front of a diving Dixon. Stevens scored standing up, but Wilcox was gunned at the plate by Patrick Jones who picked up the ball off the deflection and alertly fired a strike. Amazing play to prevent the 2 nd insurance run from scoring

5 th Inning Down 4-2 in the bottom of the 5 th inning, The Emperors Club had Dixon and Wentworth coming up to the plate. In the 2 nd inning, they both laid down perfect bunts to spark a 2 run inning. This time? Not so much. Both Dixon and Wentworth popped up shitty bunts (I m not even linking the plays here, I m so ashamed of my poor bunt) Suddenly, The Emperors Club was down to their last out, with no one on base. JFK was on the edge of their seats, cameras out, ready to celebrate their first championship. They could not have seen what was coming next Roger Jackson, who later said, I just didn t want to be the last out., managed to get on with a bunt that just came off the hands of C Eric Stevens. Next up, Thomas Juice Welch beat out a bunt down the first base line and Roger advanced to third. (Although, JFK claims the ball touched Juice the video evidence in inconclusive and the refs called him safe For what it s worth, Juice said afterwards that he didn t feel the ball touch him.) GK came up next and hit a shot to left that fell in and drove in Jackson When all looks lost, hope springs eternal. Suddenly, the VIPs had life The next event will simply go down in VA Peninsula Division history as The Play. Rookie Jesse Jones came up and attempted to kick away, but didn t get much on it. The ball curved down the right side of the infield and Wilcox came off first to field it. It certainly looked like it was going to be the game ending out, but Jesse made an amazing dive 4 feet into the air to avoid the throw (!). In the ensuing chaos, Juice scored and trucking all around from 1 st base came Kiriazidis who slid in just a second before the throw! SAFE! SAFE! The VIPs took the lead 5-4. Jimmy s nice running catch of Amy Lowe s line drive put a merciful end to the inning. SAFE!!!! but they still had to hold off the JFK offense in the bottom of the 5 th. The same offense that broke every offensive record in division history Roger Jackson was all over Rourke s bunt for out number 1 Rob Lewandowski than struck a line drive that was snared by Ant Williams for out 2 After an intentional walk to Andrew Swenck, Sarah Crecelius bunted and got on. Uh oh? Could JFK have a magical 2 out rally in them as well? Answer: No. Ashley Williams bunt was called by Ant and tossed to PJ for The Emperors Club s third championship in a row and 4 th overall!

ALL-PENINSULA TEAMS Every season, myself and a panel of trusted kickball pundits come together and discuss who were felt were the top kickballers of VA Peninsula at each position. These were the players who made the most impact and put in the best performance week in and week out. Big thanks to Justin Littell, Lorraine, GK, NoShoes, Kate Barcus, Ant, and PJ for their input I think we have a pretty comprehensive view of players definitely worthy of recognition for being the best of the best. (Of course, these are all opinion based. And there were some tough choices. If you think someone was ranked too high, or we left someone off, please sound off on the Facebook page.) Anyways, hope you enjoy the teams, and congrats to everyone selected! You can know put this on your resume!

1 st Team All Peninsula PITCHER DANIEL REYES VICTORIOUS SECRET Daniel Reyes made his Peninsula debut this fall and made an immediate impact for VS. With very good speed and movement on his pitches, he kept opposing offenses off balance, and was a big reason why the Secrets held opponents to only 2.17 runs per game. His best game probably came against the VIPs in week 6 where he held them to only 2 base runners and shut them out completely. CHARGER ANTHONY WILLIAMS THE EMPERORS CLUB Anthony Williams has always been one of the best chargers in the area, but sometimes had a tendency to be wild. Well, during the offseason, Ant got his Rocket Laser Cannon calibrated, and the result was devastating. I m not sure Ant had a throwing error all season. He probably did, but I can t think of one. He was absolutely nasty all season while leading the VIPs to their 3 rd straight championship. CATCHER ERIC STEVENS JUST FOR KICKS The Pirate plundered opposing kickers bunts with his quickness out of the box and a strong throwing arm to first. With Eric behind the plate, JFK lead the division in runs allowed, only giving up 11 runs all season. And it wasn t just on defense where The Pirate stood out. He was an offensive weapon no matter where Freed deployed him. FIRST BASE PATRICK JONES THE EMPERORS CLUB. A reliable first baseman is vital to any teams success, and there was none more reliable than PJ. Anything ball thrown in the general vacinity of the former soccer goalie, is caught. And his trademark diving stretch (see picture on the right) was the difference in many runners being thrown out.

FEMALE NOELLE WALSH JUST FOR KICKS A fierce competitor (and trash talker), Noelle stood out as one of the best female players in the division. An excellent bunter with good speed, she was definitely no easy out (see this highlight from the tourney against Rumspringa). Defensively, not only was she reliable, but occasionally, she d make a spectacular play. Just ask Patrick Jones. He still can t get over the time she robbed him with a beautiful running snag of his line drive. FEMALE KATIE LITLE JAGERNAUTS If any guy looking to kick away thought that they could take advantage of Katie in right, they were sorely mistaken. In the words of Admiral Akbar, It s a trap! That s because she s a very athletic player who covers a lot of ground in right and has very sure hands Not only did she play well all season, but she also helped create the Jager lineups and defensive assignments once Eddie Seavers left for New Jersey. FEMALE LORRAINE ADKINS THE EMPERORS CLUB LoJo kicked in the #3 spot for a team that scored 101 runs. She became the master of the bunt down the right side that not only advanced runners, but often times resulted in her safely reaching base. Her bunts were so consistent, that often times, LoJo would lay one down to drive in runs when runners were in scoring position. FEMALE TRACY COLBY CHUBBY GANGSTERS How many other girls have you ever seen kicking home runs? Colby definitely has one of the strongest legs of any girl I ve ever seen play kickball. She combined her powerful soccer style kicks with enough speed to really make defenses pay.

OUTFIELDER JOSH WALDROP GYM TAN KICKBALL All Josh Waldrop (or as Kate Barcus calls him, the hot guy from GTK with the yellow cleats) does is drill line drives all over the kickball field. Not only powerful, but deadly accurate with his kicks, it seems like he can find a hole in any defense. OUTFIELDER DR. JEREMY PINIER VICTORIOUS SECRET The Flying Frenchman was a crucial pickup for VS in their inaugural season. Kicking at the top of their lineup, he set the table, and was nearly impossible to stop from getting on and scoring runs. Speed kills. UTILITY JC CASHWELL JUST FOR KICKS There isn t a position on the kickball field that JC can t do. This season he rotated around at charger, first base, and pitcher for JFK and excelled at them all. Not only was he a versatile weapon on defense, but offensively he was one of the most explosive kickers in the division. JC could arguably be the MVP of the division, if such a thing existed. CAPTAIN GEORGE SEX MAN KIRIAZIDIS THE EMPERORS CLUB There are two things the GK knows. One is how to pleasure women (and occasionally men), and the other is kickball. After the spring championship, the VIPs parted ways with seven players, including 3 first team all-peninsula members. No problem. All Coach K did was hit the recruiting trail. With 6 new players including several rookies, GK lead the rebuilding process and the VIPs won their fourth title.

2 nd Team All Peninsula PITCHER JIMMY WILCOX JUST FOR KICKS This jacked up Harry Potter clone had a magical season for JFK. CATCHER ROGER JACKSON THE EMPERORS CLUB First person in PD history to win titles with 2 separate teams. FEMALE BERD WEEMS RUMSPRINGA Held down first base for the Springa. Steady hands and a strong leg to boot. OUTFIELD KEVIN PUSATERI GYM TAN KICKBALL If we actually kept track of stats, there is a good chance Pusateri would have lead the division in home runs. CHARGER RICKY HOLMES RUMSPRINGA Holmes sliced up opponents lineups. FEMALE ASHLEY PHAN GYM TAN KICKBALL Phan has really developed into a very good bunter and a solid, aggressive baserunner. FEMALE JILLIAN SIMMS JUST FOR KICKS Simms is very athletic, and quick. Check out this perfect bunt from week 10. FEMALE NIKKI LEBLANC VICTORIOUS SECRET Nikki showed up on nearly every experts ballot for the All-Peninsula honors.

OUTFIELD CHRIS BUNDY LEBLANC THE EMPERORS CLUB Bundy lead off for the VIPs for much of the season and was a reliable (if not intense) defender in the outfield for the champs. UTILITY MATT MARTIN THE EMPERORS CLUB Martin did it all. Catcher. Charger. Outfield. Perhaps the strongest throwing arm in the division. FIRST BASE MIKE RAMEY JAGERNAUTS His captain Justin Littell proclaimed, Mike can catch anything. CAPTAIN SABRA SWILLEY & SCOTT MORIARTY RUMSPRINGA There leadership lead Springa to a 7-5 record after going in their rookie season. 51 BREAKING NEWS: JAGERNAUTS SIGN RE-SIGN DEMOTE ACQUIRE FORMER SPACE BALLER/JAGERNAUT KIM MERRITT Former Spaceball Captain Kim Merritt has come to terms with the Jagernauts and will enter the Jagernaut lineup for the Spring 2011 Season. As some of you may know, Kim has been playing kickball long before most of us even knew how to reach third base. The deal was closed shortly after the beginning of the free agent period following the conclusion of the Fall 2010 season, sources close to the Jagernaut management team found. Jagernaut GM Justin Littell, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said of the deal I knew we would be losing people at the end of the Fall 2010 season. The critical departures of starting pitcher Eddie Seavers and starting charger John Meier left the Jagernaut infield in need of a solid veteran player. I did have a mid-level exception that I acquired through the trade of Eddie (remember that Player to be Named clause in the contract first reported in the GMOT?) and wanted to pick up a veteran player. The team management team has been in contact with Kim s agents about a possible return to the Peninsula division since October, though no formal deal was made, in keeping with compliance of WAKA governing bylaws. In a Brett Favre-like scenario, Kim has contemplated coming back to the Peninsula division for a few seasons now. Some of the Jagernauts were even going to fly down to Mississippi to meet with Kim while he was serving time in a Gay Sexual Addition Clinic, however were prohibited because of a no The Jagernauts are excited to have Kim back. Nicci Surething, one of the few players from the original team noted Kim s great, we ll really have that veteran presence in the infield, and at the bar. Hell he even taught me how to

bunt and drink! Kevin Gitkos was also warm to the prospect of playing with Kim. Although, I never have seen him play, I ve heard stories. He has been on like what, 1000 different kickball teams? That says something! Starting pitcher Dan Moore, when hearing the news about Kim s return, stated so eloquently: Jagernauts Fuck Yeah! Final terms of the deal have not been worked out yet, but sources say Kim will make approximately $0.00 (and have to pay WAKA registration fee), but will have incentives in the range of Bud Light Pounders included in the deal. Considering that he had an offer on that table that included an ashtray full of change, a bag of beef jerky, and some used Bum fighting gear, the signing was a surprise development. When asked how he could turn down those kinds of offers Kim had this to say, It s not about money, or beef jerky or even championships for me it s about Bud Light. The Jagers are not done making deals yet; in fact they have only just begun. What other tricks does Jagernaut GM Justin Littell have in store for the Spring 2011 season? Stay tuned, you all might be surprised!
