4 Bootin' buccaneers: Vs. Blowies Buccaneers definitely held their ground in their game against Blowies in the P-lot, the score was 0-0 until the 3rd inning. There were definitely drinks to go around The Jager cooler came out once again, and the warm gummy bear shots were a oozin. RKI for Kenzie and a run for Jesse. Props to the Buccaneers for such a great game and for being able to show the Blowies what we are made of! Yeah they won but they can beat us as bad as they do the other teams!- Captin Hooker! BLOWIES IN THE P-LOT: Vs. Bootin Buccaneers For week 5 of kickball, the Blowies were matched up with the Bootin' Buccaneers (or as Barland affectionately calls them, "The Butt Pirates.") Even though the game stayed scoreless for the first two innings, the Blowies stepped up to the plate for the rest of the game and did what we do best: We "blew" the pirates out of the water by winning the game 7-1. There were a few firsts when it came to this game for both teams too. 1. Kristen made a magnificent catch on her knees...a skill that we believe everyone should master. 2. Nikki got hit in the head with a stick that Pirate Mimi was marching up and down the sidelines. 3. Brandon kicked a foul ball that people claimed was going 30+ mph. AND 4. Both teams shared the same side of the field without killing each other (although Mimi might have made an attempt; refer to point 2.) All in all, we had a blast playing against this team. Now on to the next week: WE ARE READY FOR OUR BALLS, YOUR CHIN (which oddly goes along with our team name in a twisted sort of way)!!!! -Nikki Peezy PITCHES BE CRAZY: Vs. Kegs and Legs Truly an epic battle to the finish. Kegs and Legs was a fun team to play, and we definitely made them earn their victory. Stellar plays included me allowing the ball that was kicked STRAIGHT TO MY HANDS on the ground after I pitched it to roll on by Luckily Johnny later came through in an absolute lovely kick resulting in 2 runs on the board for us. Michael didn t do anything funny this time around, he saved all his abominations for the toga party. And the pre-toga party. And the post-toga party. (Mareesa has unexplained bruises and puzzling soreness.). -Anthony "El Toro Loco" Cano BALLS DEEP: Vs. Bootleggers Balls Deep Vs Bootleggers- We thought we could ride the win from last week against the Bootleggers, but found out that one bad inning can deflate any momentum. We went down early in the 1st inning with the Bootleggers scoring 5 to our 0. We managed to gather ourselves and held them off for the rest of the game, but still feel short. We ended the game 6-1. However I would like to comment on the best slide ever from one of the Bootleggers. I don t know the guy s name, but he will be known forever as slider (you know who you are). MVP- This weeks MVP goes out to one of our teammates for her post game efforts. Michaeli lil Flip dequillettes. She put on a flip cup clinic at the bar showing the Bootleggers that even though our kickball skills aren t always on point, our drinking games skills are hard to match.
