2 LA Jazz Fall Inaugural Season Week Three: If I Don t Make It Back, Tell My Hounds I Loved Them By the time you read this, I will probably look like this. Again. But it s okay, because I ll be in Vegas with 2,500 other kickballers from around the country, and I ll blend in perfectly! Let s just pray that all of us who are going manage to make it back alive and relatively whole. Since Sean is among that number who ll be showing Vegas how we roll this weekend, you ll be president-less and customer service rep-less on Monday. So that means you ll have to take up any questions or concerns with everyone s third-favorite (or better) Flip Cup Crew member David Colomb. That s this guy right here (he ll be in gold). 4 HERE WE GO! This is the first computerized numbers for the season. How were these numbers derived, you ask? You know the answer; it s all bullshit! For those who really care, here is a brief summary: Wins will get you the most points. Strength of schedule is behind that. Last but not least, is your run differential. This week, some teams climbed the ladder greatly which will certainly cause a stir. Apparently Rolling Bunts is in the SEC and Kickballers Against Sobriety is Boise State. After a few more weeks, the computer nerds feel that things will level off. We have an early season clash of the BCS titans as Golden Shower squares off against Highway 90 Business Westbank Stompas. A college press colleague of mine, who is an excellent source of accurate media gossip, said that Lee Corso will sport the Golden Shower umbrella on ESPN College GameDay! 7 Charity UPDATE: BHGH Hey all! We did great this week with the donations, KEEP THEM coming!!! Rolling Bunts/Stealing Pitches grabbed the lead this week, but we are still a long season away from that keg party. Captains, get on your team! Blaine (head ump and fellow P MK rockstar) and I had the chance to tour the girl s house and meet all six of the young ladies who live there. They were gracious enough to have us over for a delicious taco dinner, thank you to the staff that plays kickball who made the visit possible! Feel free to invite us back any time. It was awesome to see these girls in their element, so happy, energetic and bright! BHGH is hosting a yard sale this Saturday (Oct. 8 th ), please bring any unused home items to be sold to 4500 Carrollton Avenue from 7:30 am-2pm. 9 No Ugly Pitches This week s theme: All black to take on Team Blackout! Apparently, our all black garb was not enough to confuse Team Blackout (or maybe our 6:15 game was too early for them to be tipsy enough), as we lost the game 3 1. We did make some nice plays particularly in the later innings, helping us to hold them to only three runs. Good game, y all! At Shamrock, we made a strong showing, keeping it close for flip cup, though Team Blackout did prevail, Phil and Christina (a power couple if there ever was one) coming in 6 th and 8 th for singles KOTH, and Courtenay and Loren coming in 2 nd for doubles KOTH! Our KOTH skills are definitely improving, so we will be looking for a win next week. Au Revoir, No Ugly Pitches PS Naked Chicks!

10 WASTED TALENT WEEK 3 Well, after last week s Dress Up Like Your Favorite Sexual Position Theme, we can only go down from here. This week s theme will bring you back to your childhood that is if you lived in a drunken fairytale land in your childhood. Our record stands at 1 win, 1 tie and 1 game yet to be played. That s a win in our book. Stars of last week s game are: 3 amigos wearing mustaches giving FREE mustache rides. We may not donate to charity (yet), but we do give away a lot of free lovin. WASTED OUT.

11 Pitches Love My Kick This past Monday we played Saved by the Ball. If y all couldn t tell already, I m a little obsessed with Saved by the Bell and absolutely love your team name. Y all were a lot of fun to play and we all had a good time. And Boots, you totally redeemed yourself for wearing shoes with absolutely no traction by making that amazing catch. +?? Next Monday we play The Balled and the Beautiful. Sorry, I don t watch soaps so I don t have any photos to add, but we look forward to the matchup see y all on the kickball fields! Oh, and one more thing Pitches Love My Kick #1 in BCS rankings. SUCK IT.

14 KAS Week 3 KAS brought it to the fields and the bar as usual. We won both of our kickball games. We won our first game 5-1, and then our second game 3-2. I think it has something to do with the magical powers that red boones farm gives you. The MVP of the night has to go to none other than Adam Young, for his epic clutch kick in the bottom of the 6 th inning to give KAS the win. KAS brought it to the flip cup tables as well. We swept Oily Birds in a very quick 3-0 ass beating. Then we stepped it up again claiming two spots in singles KOTH. With our very own Jason I like to foul out in kickball D. taking 3 rd place, and TJ Frank the Tank N. bringing home the gold. Honorable mention goes to, Erica and Beau who placed 5 th one spot away from qualifying in double KOTH. KAS would like to extend a 5 on 5 full cup flip off against any team that is willing to take us on! We will continue to keep introducing our team members to everyone.
