GMOT STAFF WAKA St Johns Division Customer Service Rep: Erika Myers Power Rankings Specialist: Patrick PK Carey THE RULES: (unfortunately, we all have to live by them) Our playing fields are run by the City so we need to pay close attention to their rules to ensure we will have fields to play on for the season. Pets: Pets are not allowed at the park. Please make plans to keep your pets at home or we will have to ask you and your pet to leave. Beverages: Alcoholic beverage containers are not allowed at the park at any time, this includes the fields & parking lots. No glass containers or bottles of any kind are allowed on the fields. Coolers, Funnels, Kegs and Party Balls or anything that seems fun are not allowed on the fields. You are required to keep all beverages in bubba kegs, thermos bottles, solo cups, or anything that cannot be seen through. Clear colored or see through cups are not allowed, please purchase solid colored solo cups. Anyone in violation of the beverage policy will be asked to leave the premises and may be suspended for the remainder of the season. Please do not be the guy/gal walking in with a case of beer wrapped in a plastic bag or something. That is NOT ok. CONTENTS PAGE Other Activities: Due to general safety and liability reasons; no other sports may be played at a WAKA permitted field just prior to or during the games. That means no tossing a football around or kicking a soccer ball etc. Fireworks: Absolutely no fireworks of any kind are allowed on or near our fields. That includes Sparklers, Flame throwers, Molotov Cocktails and anything else you can think of. Your CSR will also have trash bags available as well. Rest Rooms: Carver Park has a port-o-potty, but I suggest going to the bathroom prior to coming. Also, bring your own TP! Parking: Park only in marked spaces or areas designated by the park. Parking on roads, on the curb, or on the sidewalk in unmarked spots may result in a parking ticket. 6 POWER RANKINGS 1. Bad and Boujee B&B has taken down Alcaballics, BBK, and K&W in their march to undefeated supremacy of the league. They re streaking like Frank the Tank on a Thursday night (check the Mitchapalooza flyers). Yes, it s definitely a little cold out there and while we re not sure if KFC is open, we know that both green squads are going to have their hands full this week as they battle the Nude Tortoises and Bad Decision Bears. 2. Alcaballics If we take out Week 1 when they were missing almost all their girls, this team has been rather dominant and beat the K&W upset machine, 6-1. Alcaballics look to be firing on all cylinders on the field and owning the flip cup table at Graffiti. Some folks claim to be better drivers when they drink (You re not and CLUBWAKA encourages everyone to Drink Responsibly) but these folks DO ball better when they got the al-al-alalcohol. Homemade Poptarts will be hoping for the Pink Powerhouse to have decided on a sober November. Unlikely! 3. Kickin and Waffles Not sure what happened to K&W. They looked like a force to be reckoned against the Turtles and Bears before coming up short against B&B and Alcaballics. The bad news for the Waffle Squad is that they do not face a green team with an animal name this week (and there s only 2 in the league), so they are going to have to play their hearts out. The good news is, they seem to have results in groups of 2, so perhaps NKOTB is in for an Angry Waffle coming at them like a spider monkey hopped up on Mountain Dew. 4. Bad Decision Bears They have not found a way to match their early season output. Maybe it s the change of fields, maybe Bears are afraid of the dark, or perhaps grass skirts aren t conducive to swinging for the fence. Then again, who can focus on kicking when they ve got getting Leied on the brain? While the Bears managed to get back to winning last week, they better hope they can get that offense clicking again if they hope to test the #1 ranked B&B squad. 5. Body By Kickball A tough week for the BBK squad as they lost their first game to B&B and had their second game called after an unfortunate accident. Things don t go as planned, but luckily, there s always a shot for vengeance in the Playoffs for the results of the first game, not the second (just to be clear). Luckily for BBK, they have veteran leadership who will diagnose what ails them and be back to dangerous by the time of the first pitch against NKOTB. 6. New Kicks on the Block They have slowly regressed from winning Week 1, tying in Week 2, to losing to BDB last week. To their credit, they only allowed 2 runs and only 3 people to touch bases. NKOTB will be hoping for better output this week as they take on Body By Kickball. Perhaps their win column will read 2 In The Morning. 7. Homemade Poptarts The Tarts were Poppin off last week about deserving to be higher in the rankings. Hard to convince anyone of that when you re 0-2. So they went to work on Kickballz Deep racking up 11 runs to 2. Alright HT, wish is granted. If they put in that kind of work against Alcaballics, they ll be replacing Toaster Strudels in no time! 8. Kickballz Deep There s talent on this team, but they kept drawing matchups on Field 2 and coming up short. That excuse went away this week as they took a L on Field 1. Not sure if they need to shake things up or start taking their own advice from their name. They have a chance to get win 1 against Naked Turtles this week to settle who belongs on the bottom rung. 9. Naked Turtles The Turtles took a heavy hit as one of their ladies suffered a nasty injury last week. Hopefully they re able to get back to kicking balls and running bases again in no time. Not really sure how that affects their matchup with BBK, but we re on to this week s action. They ve got a matchup with B&B followed by a date with Kickballz Deep to settle the pecking order at the bottom.
