WAIT YES THERE IS! Presented by Ms Erika Myers Our playing fields are run by the City so we need to pay close attention to their rules to ensure we will have fields to play on for the season. Pets: Pets are not allowed at the park. Please make plans to keep your pets at home or we will have to ask you and your pet to leave. Beverages: Alcoholic beverage containers are not allowed at the park at any time, this includes the fields & parking lots. No glass containers or bottles of any kind are allowed on the fields. Coolers, Funnels, Kegs and Party Balls or anything that seems fun are not allowed on the fields. You are required to keep all beverages in bubba kegs, thermos bottles, solo cups, or anything that cannot be seen through. Clear colored or see through cups are not allowed, please purchase solid colored solo cups. Anyone in violation of the beverage policy will be asked to leave the premises and may be suspended for the remainder of the season. Please do not be the guy/gal walking in with a case of beer wrapped in a plastic bag or something. That is NOT ok. Other Activities: Due to general safety and liability reasons; no other sports may be played at a WAKA permitted field just prior to or during the games. That means no tossing a football around or kicking a soccer ball etc. Fireworks: Absolutely no fireworks of any kind are allowed on or near our fields. That includes Sparklers, Flame throwers, Molotov Cocktails and anything else you can think of. Trash: All trash must be picked up before you leave the field. Trash cans are available throughout the park. Your CSR will also have trash bags available as well. Rest Rooms: Wingate Park has restrooms located in the middle of the fields-use them. Do not use the caveman method and do your business in bushes or even worse in the open. You may get a ticket and we may lose the permit to use the park! Parking: Park only in marked spaces or areas designated by the park. Parking on roads, on the curb, or on the sidewalk in unmarked spots may result in a parking ticket.

6 OVERHAND DIVISION: Dad Bods and Super Mods They won, but that game was tighter than a gnat s b-hole. (Speaking of gnats, how out of control were they last Thursday?) DB&SM seem to be in the driver seat for the season, but who knows? Maybe they ll all still be tired from Saturday s tournament and ripe for the picking. I hear picking ripe fruit is a fun Couplesonly activity. Throwing Shade While everyone would have appreciated the extra shade on Thursday, they fell just short of toppling the Bods & Mods. If they want another shot at them, they re going to have to wait until playoff time. Meanwhile, they ve got Sit on My Base waiting for them this week fresh off a shellacking by Deplorables. Bunt Pirates That s 2 straight lopsided victories for the Buccaneers of the Beaches as they laid Kickzilla to waste, They ve got the wind in their sails it seems, but Money Shots can always ruin something beautiful. Can the ol sea dogs of St Johns make it 3 big wins in a row? The Deplorables They couldn t find the time to sit on their base because they were too busy crossing it.10 times. Did this group of camo clad anti-dad bods figure out the right amount of pre-workout to fuel victory? Their WOD for Thursday is taking down TD4W. The good news is? It s only 1 rep. De Fuego You mess with De Fuego, you get Quemado! That s burned for those who have a backlog of s from that darn Duolingo owl. De Fuego controlled their infield with authority which helped put them on top 6-0. This week they will be battling out with another team that blanked a team 6-0 when they take the field against Don t Come on my Base. Kickzilla Well.no one would ve thought a pirate ship would take down a large reptile, but here we are. It s been a rough 2 weeks for the Zilla of Kick. Perhaps, this week is the week to turn it all around. Their matchup against DP might look easy on paper, but they have some weapons. Can Kickzilla right what s ailing them in time for their early matchup? Don t Come on My Base It looks like they have finally grown into their name as DCOMB has put together back-to-back shutouts with their 6-0 win over Loose Balls. While it would be nice if one could tell a fire what to do, De Fuego doesn t look like they re ready to stop burning bright. Can DCOMB snuff them out this week? POWER RANKINGS Couplesonly.com Winning s more fun when you do it with your hun! They doubled up their victory count last week against Faces Loaded. This week, the bright whites will stand a tough test against the armpit stain grey clad Dad Bods. Perhaps they know something that single folk just don t understand and will pull out the upset of the season. TD4W Look at you all with a nice little win streak forming here! They emerged victorious in their 5-4 scrap with Money Shots. This week they got a matchup with The Deplorables who are looking to write off all of TD4W s chances as fake news. Can TD4W find enough kicks and credible sources to win? Money Shots After looking like they were firing on all cylinders 2 weeks ago, they started strong but just couldn t finish strong last week falling 4-5 against TD4W. This week they get a shot to ruffle some feathers in the top of the standings against Bunt Pirates Dirty Pitches Their catcher was putting on a show for all to see last week against De Fuego. Unfortunately, it wasn t enough to extinguish DF s chances at victory. Can they build on that momentum and catch Kickzilla sleeping? DP has the experience. They just need to seize the opportunity. Sit on My Base The Deplorables told them, Nah, we re good just running across it a lot, en route to a 10-0 drubbing (take note folks! En route, not in route or on route). It doesn t look like the Kickball Gods are making it any easier this week as they have another tough matchup in Throwing Shade fresh off a tough loss. Could they kick the shade tossers while they re down or will it be another day of bases getting worn out? Faces Loaded On the upside, it was a much closer game than the week before. Unfortunately, it was still a loss against Couplesonly. Take solace in knowing it was basically a 2-on-1 fight, so it just makes sense that they won 2-1. Shake it off like T-Swift, though, because this week you ve got Loose Balls, and they ve been rather giving this season. Loose Balls This team needs to find a way to generate some offense. There are 2 weeks left in the regular season and they ve scored less runs than some teams have in 4 innings. Might be time to shuffle some things up or reinvent that spreadsheet formula. LB takes on Faces Loaded this week in the matchup of the last of the winless. UNDERHAND DIVISION Blacked Out It looked like it could have gone either way, but Blacked Out quickly dispelled any notion that they would be beaten. Looking almost invincible this season, BO has 2 weeks to defend the #1 seed. Next up at a chance to knock it out of their grasp is YOLO TIME 69, but they re fresh off a tie. JB Boozter Club Their anthem is quickly becoming DJ Khaled s All I Do is Win. They kept Jumbo Shrimp from scoring, though they only managed 3 runs against them. JBBC will need a little more than that if they hope to beat a We Got The Runs Squad who scored the same amount of runs playing 3KM 10 on 11. Can JBBC stay unbeaten or could their streak be coming to an end? Tag Em and Bag Em Holding down Blacked Out is a hard task and they managed to limit them to only 3, but couldn t get the W. Can t penalize them for losing to #1 when they ve beaten the teams below them. This week they look to bounce back against Funky Buntlovin. 3 Kick Mafia Their girls put on a bunting clinic against We Got The Runs and set up the guys to look heroic. 3KM weren t without their struggles in a 13-3 win, but they took it to short-sided Runs team. They are back to looking like the force to be reckoned with that we expect. YOLO TIME 69 They only managed a tie against Comeback Kicks, but they ve still handled their business against everyone else they ve played. These are Power Rankings after all, and they haven t lost yet. YT69 will have a shot to silence any haters and climb higher this week as they battle it out with #1 Blacked Out. Straight Ballin The OG They handled business and doubled runs against Ballin Out, winning 8-4. The OG squad is looking for a shot to climb up into the Top 5, and this week is serving up Great Balls of Fire. Just to clarify, a shot of Fireball doesn t send you into the Top 5. Otherwise, most of this league would be tied for first place. Jumbo Shrimp Just when they were ascending, here came big bad JBBC to knock them right back down to the ocean floor. Can everybody s favorite crustaceans find a way to ascend again? They will have a demoralized GOATs squad that had victory stolen from them last week waiting for them at 7. Comeback Kicks Nobody likes ties. Especially not in America. So don t let it happen again. However, impressive stopping power in holding YOLO TIME back from another win. It s the closest they ve come to a loss. CK might be looking at the schedule and thinking their matchup with FISA is an easy W, but the gold squad looks like they might be ready to put up a fight. Great Balls of Fire Goodness Gracious! The flaming balls bounced back against PBC 5-2 as they are hoping to be back to only adding Ws. They will look to stay on that upswing this week against Straight Ballin the OG. Nothing is more dangerous than Balls of Fire on the upswing! Chug Norris There was anticipation of a much higher scoring affair when they played Funky Buntlovin, but a win is a win. If there is any argument between them and Pitches about who deserves to be ranked higher, they settle this week and check back in the next GMOT. Pitches Be Crazy While they might say it was simply coincidence they didn t win last week when it didn t rain, some might argue that we are one step closer to a solid theory on the Rain s Impact on PBC s winning. Wonder if they ll be huddled around a Doppler radar map leading up to their game against Chug Norris? Ballin Out The easiest rule of all is you have to score more than the other team to win. Sadly for Ballin Out, they failed to do that and lose 4-8 against Straight Ballin. We ll have to wait on Maury to let us know if they are in fact your daddy, though. Until then, there are still games to play and a chance to upset a confident 3KM squad. We Got the Runs Only having 10 people to play 11 positions is not the best strategy when taking on a team like 3KM who will exploit any weakness and error. They managed to keep it interesting at times, but still lost Hopefully, they sent out a more enticing invitation this week because they re taking on a red hot JBBC squad. Formally In Shape Allstars Not only did FISA snag their first win, they did so in late dramatic fashion after blasting the left field fence twice in a row to rob GOATs of their first win. If that energy carries over this week, they might be stealing Comeback Kicks name as well as the W. G.O.A.T.s Well.there was nothing you could do about those kicks. A kickball victory isn t worth potential fence injuries. Sometimes it is better to live to fight another day. So, get your vengeance against Jumbo Shrimp and hold on tighter if you grab a lead. Funky Buntlovin Uh hi. At least it was close last week! Plus the season isn t over so you still have chances. On the bright side, we have drink specials and bar fun after the game regardless of records!

7 SPOTLIGHTS Rookie of the week Kvonte Scott Kickzilla 1) How did you hear about WAKA? Most of my friends play Waka, so I decided maybe I should come out and play too. 2)What do you think about your WAKA experience thus far? It's been great, It's competitive but also super fun! The people are great, the environments great! I love it! 3)Are you a native to Jacksonville? If not, what brings you to town? No, I'm actually from Virginia Beach, VA. I moved down here to train semi-professionally for track and field. 4)What did/do you want to be when you grew/grow up? As a kid I always wanted to be a radio DJ, cause I love all genres of music and wanted to interview artist about their creative processing and things. Currently I want to be an Olympian but we'll see how that goes lol. 5)What are some of your other hobbies besides kickball? I'm big into music, love hearing new music. Also Playing volleyball, and cooking. 6)If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be? I would live somewhere in Spain. One of my old teammates live there, it's beautiful, and a different lifestyle they live over there. 7)What s your favorite local place? Big fan of Joseph's Pizza! Bingo and Wednesdays and good pizza! 8)If you could be any animal, what would you be and why? and tell me you don't want to be one or own one! An otter! Cause I mean just look at them 9)Fill in the blank, On a typical Saturday you can find me. Coaching or competing in a track meet 10)What has been the most interesting entertainment news to you in the past 12 months? Rob Kardashian with the Instagram and twitter fingers...look up what this man did and said, crazy lol. 11)What s one thing on your bucket list? Compete in an international track meet! 12)What s the last picture you took on your phone? It's a picture of me and bestfriends dogs

8 SPOTLIGHTS VETERAN of the week Caitlin Fiddle Bunt Pirates How long have you been playing WAKA? 5 years...wow that's ridiculous lol What s your favorite memory from your kickball experience? Dancing and partying with everyone after games...nippers!!! That was a great after bar before they closed. Are you a native to Jacksonville? If not, what brings you to town? I'm originally from upstate NY. I came down to UNF to finish my bachelors because I hate living in the snow What is your favorite pre or post game activity? Vodka and Patron What did/do you want to be when you grew/grow up? Since professional kickballer isn't quite a thing yet, I want to be like Whitney and Heather when I grow up. What are some of your other hobbies besides kickball? Traveling, Sunday funday, flag football, softball, and I love the STL Cardinals. Obsessed. What s your favorite position?...on the kickball field of course. 1st base, but for co-ed short stop. I like getting people out. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be? St. John, USVI. It's the most beautiful place (but no kickball so might not last long) What s your favorite local spot? The Wreck, Bartender Keith Proctor!! If you could be any animal, what would you be and why? SLOTH. DAB. RAGE. Fill in the blank, On a typical Saturday you can find me. Honestly, a lot of times I have a long week from playing sports and such. Long days and nights. Saturday's I have no sports and it's my rest day. Unless there's a party or tourney, I'm usually just relaxing. What has been the most interesting entertainment news to you in the past 12 months? I get all my news from ESPN...interesting? Not quite sure, but the worst was the Cubs winning things. What s one thing on your bucket list? Seeing the Northern Lights in Ireland What s the last picture you took on your phone? My friends! A brunch turned Sunday funday. Bottomless mimosas at breakfast make for a long night at Jax Beach
