2 STUFF TO KNOW THE RULES Our playing fields are run by the City so we need to pay close attention to their rules to ensure we will have fields to play on for the season. Pets: Pets are not allowed at the park. Please make plans to keep your pets at home or we will have to ask you and your pet to leave. Beverages: Alcoholic beverage containers are not allowed at the park at any time, this includes the fields & parking lots. No glass containers or bottles of any kind are allowed on the fields. Coolers, Funnels, Kegs and Party Balls or anything that seems fun are not allowed on the fields. You are required to keep all beverages in bubba kegs, thermos bottles, solo cups, or anything that cannot be seen through. Clear colored or see through cups are not allowed, please purchase solid colored solo cups. Anyone in violation of the beverage policy will be asked to leave the premises and may be suspended for the remainder of the season. Please do not be the guy/gal walking in with a case of beer wrapped in a plastic bag or something. That is NOT ok. That includes Sparklers, Flame throwers, Molotov Cocktails and anything else you can think of. Trash: All trash must be picked up before you leave the field. Trash cans are available throughout the park. Rest Rooms: Patton Park has two restrooms at the front of the field, use them. Do not use the caveman method and do your business in bushes or even worse in the open. You may get a ticket and we may lose the permit to use the park! Parking: Park only in marked spaces or areas designated by the park. Parking on roads, on the curb, or on the sidewalk in unmarked spots may result in a parking ticket.

5 POWER RANKINGS 1. Dream Crushers They won not zero, not one, but two championships in a row in the Stingray league and they really want that trifecta. Is there a team out there that can stop them? If you ask them they ll tell you no. Let s let the season be the final judge of that. 2. Foot Clan They ran under the alias of Grass Clowns last season and still posted a second place finish. What will they do this season with their new recruiting class, returning players and the infamous name brand? Time will tell. 3. Kick Tease The scouting team hit the recruiting trail hard in the offseason landing some very good recruits and significantly improving this teams stock. They ve got great veteran players returning and are prepared to turn some heads this season. 4. Kickheads We always like this squad on paper but they seem to always let us down. Will this season be another let down or will they play up to their potential? We gotta feeling, that this season is the season they get over the hump and silence the critics. Watch out! 5. Wasians This is another team we can never accurate predict. One season they are up, one season they are down. Which is it? Are you good or not? It s ok either way, just decide dammit. We do know one thing for sure. They like to tailgate, look for them in their infamous location every week, getting it 6. Kick Calm & Chive On This team is comprised of some pretty good veterans and some second season players that had a great run last season. We think this squad should be pretty strong and if they Kick Calm and just chive on we aren t sure what really could stop them. 7. One Flip Two Cups Wow. Hopefully their on the field skills will wow us like their name does. I also would like to see this feat conquered by every member of the team. That s tough. If you can do that though, you probably are an Ace at Flip cup for sure and don t need our validation. 8. Duval Bang ems For those of you who don t get the reference you are currently in DUVAL county and this team name seconds as a team thing song that is surely appropriate for all ages No, not really. Great team name though and we think this squad will be pretty good, word is they got athletes. 9. WAKA WAKA WAKA This team will be solid. They always are, don t let them fool you. They ve got some newbies so there will be a learning curve. They also will be bright. Did anyone see them walking around the pre-season party with their new threads? We think it is strategy, blind you with their shirts, then kick it at you while you can t see. Fullsource.com, check em out. 10. Wasted Talent What a great pun on words, there is talent but we will be wasted. Hahaha. We still do think that even though they will have a few that they ll be able to stand upright and score more runs than a few of the teams out there so don t let that name mislead you. They ve got some ringers and they aren t afraid to hand you a loss. 11. Kicking it with Blurred Lines Another awesome team name. Where do ya ll come up with this stuff? This squad better make sure those lines aren t too blurry when they play because that could be a recipe for disaster or not? This squad also loves to tailgate find them if ya can. 12. Local Skanks We are unsure where this name originated but we love it!!! Some of the new members were confused as evidenced by their faces at check in. We told them not to worry it is nothing like it sounds Or is it? Fun squad, they ve got a couple of veterans that know what they are doing so they should fair pretty well this season. 13. Funky Buntlovin Always a fun squad who comes up with a new name every season. They are always a middle tier team but we think they may be able to move up closer to the top this season but they are going to have to show us before we move them up. Win or Lose we know this team will have a great time though. You will not outfun them!! 14. Scorin on Fast Pitches Well this team name says it all. That is the objective; you gotta score on those Fast Pitches. There you have it. Now all they gotta do is execute, easy enough right? We shall see. This squad finally has some balanced numbers so we can really see what they got. Thread lightly when you play them, they got some ringers. 15. Ballz Deep How deep? Ballz Deep!!! Welcome back we missed you all. Fun squad that disappeared on us for a while. We don t have much intel on who s returning so we had to rank them down here. Prove us wrong? oz Curls 1 st of our three totally new teams. We are sure you will improve and likely move up in the rankings but with no intel on all but one of your players we are forced to rank you here. Use it as motivation along with those 12oz curls to punish all the teams above you that you play!!!!! 17. Monty s Sore Knees Again an all new team, fall in line. This is America, you work your way up (well not everyone) even in kickball. There is a song that some of you may or may not like by Drake called Started from the Bottom. It could be a good warmup song that could get those Sore Knees lose and ready take some teams down!!! 18. Fourth Base This team actually has at least one veteran on it but they are all mostly new. They really got last because their captains fill in,s were late to the captains meeting (duh, duh, duh). They had a legitimate excuse but we don t care, you re still last for now. Deal with it. Pop quiz.. How do you get out from down here? A) Yell at your captain and captains fill in s for their mistake B) Buy the person that writes these shots C)Be incredibly fun on the field and at the bar, dress up for themes and go nuts or D)Simply win games. 6 VETERAN OF THE WEEK Latisha Cummings Scoring on Fast Pitches How did you hear about WAKA? Through the Jacksonville Jaycees/Junior Chamber of Commerce. How many seasons have you played? What teams? Any championships? This is my third season. 1. Smack My Pitch Up 2. Cut A Pitch 3. Scorin On Fast Pitches No championships Yet! What do you think about your WAKA experience thus far? I love Waka. Everyone in the league is friendly, outgoing and always ready to have a good time. I look forward to my kickball nights. Who are some of your favorite Athletes? Gabby Douglas and Dominique Dawes. What did/do you want to be when you grew/grow up? As a child I had always wanted to become a Teacher. Education in every aspect is admirable to me. Relationship Status? Single. What are some of your other hobbies besides kickball? VP of Individual Development for the Jacksonville Jaycees, Community service, hiking, volleyball traveling, spending time with friends and family, and anything else the will keep me out of the house. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be? South Korea for a bit and then anyplace else that had a body of water or mountains. If you won the Lotto this week, what would you do with all that money? If I were to be one of the few to win Lotto I would start by making sure my family is set up first. I would love to have the ability to make someone else s life better. I have always thought about helping a village in Africa or another country become self-reliant. I would assist the people in starting a trade such as canning, as I have heard about Meredith Brokaw setting up business in Malawi. I would love to be able to build wells to bring fresh drinking water. What was the last book you read? The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. SPOTLIGHTS What has been the most interesting Entertainment news to you within the past 12 months? I am not sure if the most interesting news is Kanye and Kim Kardashian actually had a baby together or Miley Cyrus and Juicy J announcing they are expecting a baby together. What superpower would you want if you had a choice? The ability to stop time.

7 ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Rachel Krasnow Fourth Base How did you hear about WAKA? I actually played WAKA Kickball when I lived in Ft. Lauderdale a few years back, so when I recently moved to Jax I knew I wanted to get a team together and play. What do you think about your WAKA experience thus far? It just started! But our team (Fourth Base) is going to dominate so I have high hopes so far. What is your favorite pre-game/post-game activity? Definitely meeting at sneakers for some fun drinking games. Its great to meet everyone from the other teams Who are some of your favorite Athletes? I m from Boston, so I m a big homer sports fan, Patrice Bergeron from the Bruins, Aqib Talib from the Patriots and Shane Victorino from the Sox are some of my favorites. What did/do you want to be when you grew/grow up? I wanted to be a professional athlete that quickly became unrealistic sooo now I want to be the winning WAKA kickball team captain. High life goals, I know. What are some of your other hobbies besides kickball? I play in a men s ice hockey league at the Jax Ice and Sportsplex, I also love to play golf and travel If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be? Melbourne, Australia hands down. It s just so far away! If you won the Lotto this week, what would you do with all that money? Be lame and invest most of it. But I d definitely splurge on some new clothes and shoes and a new car What was the last book you read?
