WAIT YES THERE IS! Presented by Ms Erika Myers Our playing fields are run by the City so we need to pay close attention to their rules to ensure we will have fields to play on for the season. Pets: Pets are not allowed at the park. Please make plans to keep your pets at home or we will have to ask you and your pet to leave. Beverages: Alcoholic beverage containers are not allowed at the park at any time, this includes the fields & parking lots. No glass containers or bottles of any kind are allowed on the fields. Coolers, Funnels, Kegs and Party Balls or anything that seems fun are not allowed on the fields. You are required to keep all beverages in bubba kegs, thermos bottles, solo cups, or anything that cannot be seen through. Clear colored or see through cups are not allowed, please purchase solid colored solo cups. Anyone in violation of the beverage policy will be asked to leave the premises and may be suspended for the remainder of the season. Please do not be the guy/gal walking in with a case of beer wrapped in a plastic bag or something. That is NOT ok. Other Activities: Due to general safety and liability reasons; no other sports may be played at a WAKA permitted field just prior to or during the games. That means no tossing a football around or kicking a soccer ball etc. Fireworks: Absolutely no fireworks of any kind are allowed on or near our fields. That includes Sparklers, Flame throwers, Molotov Cocktails and anything else you can think of. Trash: All trash must be picked up before you leave the field. Trash cans are available throughout the park. Your CSR will also have trash bags available as well. Rest Rooms: Wingate Park has restrooms located in the middle of the fields-use them. Do not use the caveman method and do your business in bushes or even worse in the open. You may get a ticket and we may lose the permit to use the park! Parking: Park only in marked spaces or areas designated by the park. Parking on roads, on the curb, or on the sidewalk in unmarked spots may result in a parking ticket.

6 POWER RANKINGS OVERHAND DIVISION: Dad Bods and Super Mods They won again last week. In other news, water is still wet. Is anyone going to knock the Dad Bods down a peg? I know Tag Em in the UH division wants a shot, but that s given the division line, it s a no go. With only one game left in the regular season, it looks like it will be up to TD4W to shake things up. Any given Thursday though, right? Throwing Shade Winner, winner. Chicken Taco dinner? Maybe, though the short rib tacos at Surfer are pretty tasty, too. Either way, they are battling it out with Bunt Pirates in their regular season finale that could go a long way in shaping the top of the playoff bracket. Can they k Money Shots If you had money on these guys and gals upsetting Bunt Pirates, either you re an underdog-loving person with a gambling problem (Betting on kickball? Really?!), or you saw the potential they ve been building all season. They re in the running for the #2 seed, but they ll have to put away a scrappy Dirty Pitches squad, first. Bunt Pirates While a heartbreaking loss to Money Shots doubles their loss total, they still have a chance at getting the #2 seed. It is like one of those lists they make trying to explain how random NFL teams could still make the playoffs in week 16 and 17, but if they beat Throwing Shade they stand a chance. De Fuego This team was so hot going into last week, but only managed to leave Wingate with a tie. On the upside, they depending on the potential craziness that is Week 7 Kickball, they could be skating into the postseason in the Top 3 if not Top 2. Couplesonly isn t looking to send them up the bracket just yet, though, and will give them heck to wrap up the season. The Deplorables The ol camo tanks have picked the best time to heat up and go streaking as we are nearing playoff time. We know they re strong, but do they have the stamina, as well? They outlasted TD4W to win 4-1. This week they have Loose Balls (the team, not the state of their gonads) fresh off their first win. Kickzilla? If anyone can appreciate a good place to sit, it s probably an oversized, kickballin reptile. It would behoove Kickzilla not to overlook Sit On My Base though. After duking it out for the 6-5 win with Dirty Pitches they should hold off on resting until after the game. Don t Come on My Base They just cannot seem to seal the deal in big matchups. They did escape last week with a tie, but they haven t had a statement win that moves them up the Power Rankings. The good news is that Power Rankings don t determine playoff seeding. If they win against Faces Loaded this week, they ll be sitting pretty near the upper-middle to top of the bracket. Couplesonly.com Win or Lose, it s getting that time together with the one you treasure most, right? Winning together probably feels better, but CO couldn t find the strategy to stifle DB&SM. They re a veteran squad though and know that playoffs are when winning matters most. Does that mean they ll take it easy on De Fuego this week? Doubtful. TD4W At this point, the only thing that has been turned down are our expectations. When this season began, this team looked to be on the flipside of these standings. They have been through a gauntlet of a schedule, but reasons are simply excuses. If they pull the upset this week, they might be a dark horse worth keeping an eye on come playoff time. Dirty Pitches They battled hard, but the Zilla was too much for these Pitches to handle. They prove to be a thorn in their opponent s side every week, however. Thorns can do damage when teams are coming off a statement win and are caught looking ahead to playoffs, Money Shots. Sit on My Base For the second straight week, they failed to log a run (unless scores got recorded wrong) as they lost to Throwing Shade, 5-0. They ve logged a couple victories, but you can t play the bottom 2 every week. Can they rise up and finish with a W against Kickzilla? Loose Balls Loose Balls finally got to taste sweet, sweet victory! Now the question is whether or not they will let their captain lead them there, again. The Deplorables are a tough matchup, but everyone is beatable with the right preparation. H prob isn t the right one for this, though. Faces Loaded Well here we are. The end of the season and the end of the list. Faces Loaded spent the season loading up their Loss column. One more shot at a victory and if you come out feisty enough, DCOMB might be unmotivated enough to let you get that W. UNDERHAND DIVISION Blacked Out It looks like the #1 seed is going to come down to who let the most runs in after this week between them and JBBC unless either of them falter at the end. It wouldn t be the first time an undefeated team fell apart in the finale. Can they win out against GBoF? JB Boozter Club JBBC edges one step closer to an undefeated season. Though, they never faced Blacked Out, so if they seal the perfect season they better hope they don t let in more runs if they want that #1 spot. Ballin Out isn t exactly highflying, but they ve notched a few runs. Tag Em and Bag Em They ve played well, and came out on top against Funky B. But remember, kids: humility goes a lot farther than bravado in sports. Betting against the top teams in OH division isn t wise when you haven t beaten the #1 or #2 in your own. But, playoffs are right around the corner, so you still could. First, We Got the Runs wants a shot at you. 3 Kick Mafia After they stumbled a little in the middle of the season, 3KM is back to looking like a top team in the division after going 12-2 on Ballin Out. They close out their regular season with a chance to get a statement win over YOLO TIME who looked like they had a shot and taking down Blacked out. YOLO TIME 69 Errors are what separates the winners and losers in big games. That and big kicks and they spent too much time chasing balls in the outfield to win. Gotta keep those balls in front of you! Let s see if they learned their lesson as they prepare for 3KM this week. Straight Ballin The OG They came out on top against Great Balls of Fire, putting together a 10-7 win. With one more game to go, they stand a good shot of jumping up the standings table. If they beat Comeback Kicks this week, though, they can get bumped up the Power Rankings, too. Comeback Kicks It got dicey there for a minute, but CK landed a few namesakes to get the 8-6 victory over an error-plagued FISA squad. A win this week against Straight Ballin OG could return them to the top 5 of the league. Do they have enough kicks left to finish strong? Great Balls of Fire They ve been up and down all season. With last week being a down one, maybe it s the right timing for them to face Blacked out? If you feed them enough Fireball, maybe they ll black out before 7 and you can get the easy win or just do it the old fashioned way by scoring more runs than them. Your choice. Pitches Be Crazy After lead changes, some big plays, and upending Chug Norris baserunner, these Crazy Pitches ended up snatching victory from the claws of defeat. If they bring the same intensity with improved punctuality on their ladies part, they could wrap up season play with back to back wins. The Shrimp look to redeem themselves after a loss to GOATs. Jumbo Shrimp Guess when they mess with the GOATs, they get the horns. Everyone else managed to escape their wrath, but hey, we all have our down days. It s not how we fall, it s how we pick ourselves up. So, dust off the GOAT dander and get ready for PBC! Chug Norris Baserunner in flight BOOOOoooP! Afternoon delight. But on a serious note, kudos to the girl that took a lickin and kept on tickin. Kickball isn t supposed to be a contact sport though, so everyone be safe! Hopefully, Chug Norris keeps everyone upright and healthy against the GOATs off their first win. We Got the Runs They matched JBBC s Runs Against total for the season last week in what was still a losing effort, unfortunately. It s a new week and they could double their win total this week if they can pull off the upset against Tag Em and Bag Em in their finale. Formally In Shape Allstars Errors cost them the chance of getting their second W, last week against Comeback Kicks. Can they tidy up their defensive unit before taking the field against Funky Buntlovin? If not, they might just be muddying the waters at the bottom of the bracket. G.O.A.T.s They got their win! They shocked the Shramp 1-0 to finally get a notch under W. Winning by 1 gets you the same result as winning by 100. Can they match that success this week against Chug Norris, or are they setting the stage for what could be considered animal cruelty? Ballin Out It wasn t pretty against 3KM as they ended up losing They are struggling to generate offense which puts a lot of pressure on a young team s defense. We Got the Runs was able to score on JBBC last week, so it is possible. Can Ballin Out s captain iron out the lineup before playoffs? Funky Buntlovin Tough loss against Tag and Bag, but they are showing signs of coming together as a team. This week, they face a very young, error prone FISA team that just handed CK a win. Will Funky Buntlovin be on the receiving end of such good fortune and go out with a win?

Are you a native to Jacksonville? If not, what brings you to town? Hell nah. What did/do you want to be when you grew/grow up? My dream is to be the head Janitor for Fletcher High School. What are some of your other hobbies besides kickball? Collecting ecstasy pills If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be? Ya motha What s your favorite local place? Bo s Coral Reef If you could be any animal, what would you be and why? A golden retriever in a middle-class home. 9 SPOTLIGHTS VETERAN of the week Scott Fichter Kickzilla How long have you been playing WAKA? back to Scientist had to Carbon Date this, but it roughly goes What s your favorite memory from your kickball experience? That is a pretty broad question, but I would say the one that stands out the most, was my first travel tournament. Are you a native to Jacksonville? If not, what brings you to town? I am a native of DUUUUVVVALLLL. I came back home after my military service to go to school. What is your favorite pre or post game activity? My favorite pre game activity would be sitting in traffic trying to get to my game on time. My favorite post game activity is trying not to liquidate my bank account on fireball shots. What did/do you want to be when you grew/grow up? Grow up? This is rhetorical right? What are some of your other hobbies besides kickball? I'm pretty nerdy, so I enjoy videogames, reading science journals, playing with puppies and shooting guns. What s your favorite position?...on the kickball field of course. Which ever one I'm not going to suck at during that game. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be? Anywhere there are close friends, family and of course, adult beverages. What s your favorite local spot? I'm considered a local at Graffiti Burger. If you could be any animal, what would you be and why? I really like birds, so I would think being like a parrot would be pretty cool. They live a pretty chill life, look great and are pretty intelligent. Fill in the blank, On a typical Saturday you can find me. More then likely working. Animals don't take days off, so I guess I don't either lol. What has been the most interesting entertainment news to you in the past 12 months? Entertainment is my weakest trivia question topic, so I'm have to go with Taylor Swift broke up with someone?
