5 Games of the Week: Mr. Hankey s Kickball Special vs. Howie s Heavers at 6:15 What do I need to say? Two great teams...friends and foes. These two teams enjoy playing a grade school sport competitively. If you enjoy playing kickball you should watch this game. As far as analysis goes, well, I have to take a page from John Madden, the team with the fewest mistakes will win. There is no real secret to playing kickball well; different styles at times, but it is pretty basic. Both teams have plenty of depth and it s the role players who can have more of an impact in this game. Team for team, Howie s and Hankey s is a great match up. This series all time is in the Hankey s favor but only by one more victory Nags prediction: Hankey s 5 Howie s 5 Das Boot! vs. Grass Stains at 7:15 This might be the most important game of the week. Das Boot has had a great season so far and yet they still control their own destiny. All they have to do is just win and let everything else sort itself out. This could be the year of Das Boot!!! This also would be a fun game to watch. But this will not be an easy game for Das Boot because the Grass stains are a weird fun team; I mean that out of respect. You just don t know which team will show up? Grass Stain has a ton of talent and when they are playing well they are tough to beat. You can count on a few things, a boombox, dancing, drinks and fun for all. I am going with Das Boot in this one due to the tournament has not started for the Grass Stains yet. WAKA & BBBS KICK BALL GAME Sunday August 5th, a.m. and 1 p.m.* WAKA and BBBS are teaming up for a kickball game/clinic for the Bigs and their Littles as well as Littles waiting to be matched. Bring your family out for a good game of kickball and help these folks see what Kickball is all about! Food and refreshments will be provided (no alcohol during the event). We are going to aim for the Highland fields* (Sunday League s fields) as the event location. As usual, details will be forthcoming as they are finalized. Founders Cup 2012 The 2012 Founders Cup World Kickball Championship will be held in October 5-7, 2012 in Las Vegas! There will be over $20,000 in prizes throughout the weekend! Be sure to mark your calendars and save that weekend! It s time to embrace those dreams of being a World Kickball Champion! Champion and Runner-Up of Spring Season s League Tournament will be eligible to receive an invitation to the Founders Cup World Kickball Championship in Las Vegas. The year of eligibility is determined by the completion date of the League Tournament, according to the World Championship Guidelines. Eligible teams are not guaranteed to receive invitations.
