3 From the desk of the President... I heart Ocean! I must say.i heard a lot of crazy stories from this past weekend; some good, some bad. Unfortunately, myself, as well as your VP, has to work this past weekend and couldn t make it to the games or the bar. All I can say is mad props to ALL the teams who showed their hard core kickball dedication, and came out and played even though it was pouring rain! That is what I am talking about!!! Ocean truly RULES! I also saw quite a few pictures of people in their mis-matched clothing good job to all the teams who participated! You guys looked awesome! I love it! I heard that flip cup has taken on a new form.something to think about maybe for next season? Hmmmm, we ll see! Way to represent to everyone who showed up at the bar after I am so sad I missed it. Don t forget about the flip cup tournament! We are nearing the end and there is a nice prize for the winning team!! Make sure to always show up at the bar after the games if anything, just to help your team win at flip cup! The contest THIS week is: most players on a team in CRAZY HATS! That s right, it is crazy hat week! Congrats to the NEW top team in the league, Flip Flops and Bikini Tops!! I am looking forward to the wild card game this coming week as well as the playoffs. The game of the week will definitely be Flip Flops and Bikini Tops (white) vs. The Hangovers (Green). If you are not playing at that time, come check it out, it should be interesting! 4 Health and Wellness Tip of the Week Cheers to another great week of Ocean Kickball!! This weeks health tip: Are you getting enough ZZZZZZZZZZZ?!? Does sleep really affect health? You bet it does. During sleep, your body is resting and recovering from all the work is has done throughout the day. Your serotonin levels are brought back in line, your muscles relax, and mind is allowed to clear itself in preparation for the next day. If you are not getting the proper amount of sleep, you will notice it in a physical way. While there is no magic number, usually between six and eight hours a night is appropriate. If you have difficulty getting to sleep, before you climb into bed, try Yoga, listening to soft, relaxing music, a glass of wine, or if you can talk someone into it, a good massage. Our games don t start until 2 pm, which should give you plenty of time to party your little hearts out on Friday nights and still have enough time to get some adequate zzzzzzzzs before our games on Saturday afternoons. ~VP Nurse Vic 4

5 FL Ocean Divison Charity The Hole in the Wall Gang FL Ocean Division is proud to sponsor the Hole in the Wall Gang. This Camp provides children who have cancer and other serious illnesses and conditions with a camping experience of the highest quality, while extending yearround support to their families and health care providers. Each summer more than 1,000 children between the ages of seven and fifteen from across the country and abroad attend The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp free of charge. The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp provides year-round activities for campers and other seriously ill children and their siblings at Camp and in their own communities. For hospitalized children with serious illnesses, the Camp s Hospital Outreach program takes Camp-in-a-Suitcase programs to New England hospitals and clinics, where it provides a bedside experience to raise the spirits and help sustain youngsters for the road ahead. The total this season is $ 420! This past Saturday I was out of town so there was no jell-o shots but this week there will be some. Don t forget your singles... Hangovers - 8 What a wet, muggy game. Its was ugly out there but not our game. Mother nature couldn t stop the Hangovers! We rallied behind our stud Yusselt and Fila s 2 for 2 kicking (so sad she can t ever make it past 2nd base!) and of course Derwins sac fly to bring in tons of runs. But the MVP of the game goes out to Mike for that in the park HOMERUN!!! On Defense, the whole team played a superb game even in the cold and wet conditions. I got to give props to the whole team for not getting discrourage cause of the weather and making the best out of it. Everyone was having a ball out there. Dirty All Stars - 3 No recap submitted... maybe they were too hung over from playing the hangovers! We were not able to make it to the bar last Saturday since the team had prior engagements. But don t worry, we ll be there this weekend for sure to carry on our tradition...partying with a HANGOVER!!! - Jorge 6

7 Chicks Dig the Long Ball - 0 No recap submitted... Dirty Pirate Hookers - 5 AND THE HOOKERS WIN AGAIN!!! I never get tired of saying that... It was a fierce battle after the game to decide who walks away with the win this week. Apparently, if you don t have your entire team on the field at start time, it s an automatic forfeit. Which goes to show you, if you don t pack your Cuban sandwiches right, you re just left with ham. But it didn t matter, cause my fellow Uncleanly Trollops would have still pulled off the big W. (W as in Win not the flying W sexual position). We felt it was necessary for good sportsmanship to play, since we were already dressed in fishnets, corsets and tutus, and saturated in the rain, so we took the field and fought, (or better put messed around ) in a scrimmage game ; mostly so the Long Balls could feel better about our smashing victory. During this game play, we all could have played a bit better, especially with crazy Kyle more interested in bowling for cones than pitching the wet ball. He might not have been a match on the field Saturday, but he s one helluva king pin! I think all of our fortunes were due to the Potent Pirate s Punch that OMG and Jay had concocted. It was tasty and caused a bit of disarray on the field. Our fielding could have been a touch better, although, I know I did everything correctly. People don t understand the timing it takes to set down a full drink and a sword b efore going for a catch while wearing a mini skirt with slut written all over it. So, in my personal defense, for all the haters, don t knock it until you try it! But my point is, the Nautical Street Walkers are on a streak; so, look out, Heineken Cup, cause here we come... to drink your wonderful innards. mmmm beer! ~Webby, Cirty Pirate Hookers 7

8 Shaolin Mermen - 6 What a game! The weather was pouring all over us as we laid our hearts on the field. Both teams had high scoring first innings, showcasing our desires to win! I honestly wouldn t change anything about that game (except for the loss.) I think this was one of the funnest games we played simply because it was raining. Balls were flying everywhere and getting dropped just as fast. People were sliding and slipping from base to base. This game made us feel like kids again. Although we came out with a loss, the enjoyment we got out of it was worth every minute! WE enjoyed playing in the rain so much, we played a pickup game with the Blue team after the loss. At this point, we have NOTHING to lose. We will come out fiercer than ever and plan to DEMOLISH my arch nemesis Dirty All-Stars. The fields will be red with the blood of the purple. YOUR GOING DOWN!!!!!!! -Mayu Awesome WIN in the wet t-shirt contest competition and at the kickball game on Saturday! We won 14 to 6 in the pouring down rain with a roster of 12! Almost everyone got to kick 3 times, it was awesome!!! MVP going to Josh I love to crash weddings Rotenberg for his 3 run homerun and scoring all three times he stepped up to the plate (at kickball, not at the wedding. Well, I m not really sure about the wedding but I did hear there wasn t any stage 5 clingers last weekend). Shout outs going to Pocket I working on getting her digits Nick went 3 for 3 scoring 3 times. Sean I love to slip n slide Martin scored twice. Kevin Really, I signed up to play kickball wearing a bikini top Hardy had two triples and scored twice with the most random slide to home. While the entire FFBT team told him to slide as he made his way towards home plate, he decided to wait till he crossed home plate and then proceeded to slip onto his back. Luckily, he seemed okay! Casey I forgot to wear all my water accessories, even though it would have been the perfect game to wear them cause it was raining cats and dogs Johnson managed to cross home plate two times. Tracy she finally wore a bikini top :D kicked two doubles and scored. Kristin I hate that picture of me Regan had 2 RKI s and totally figured out how to pitch in rain. Peter What have I gotten myself into?!? Von Stroh made it safely across home plate too! I really think we should have added a slip n slide from third to home. Awesome job FFBT! Great game by our favorite party animals the Shaolin MerMen!!! At the bar, only the Shaolin MerMen (red), FFBT (white) and Dirty Pirate Hookers (maroon) teams came out to P A R T Y! We started off survivor flip cup. I believe FFBT s ruled that game! Then we got an older guy to put on a bikini top and we taught him flip cup. He picked it up pretty fast. Then we moved into some random flip cup challenge with Shaolin MerMen s. Okay, it goes a little something like this... drink, flip cup, drink, flip cup onto first cup, sing I am a little tea pot, flip pitcher onto cups. The video is posted on facebook and it s a highly entertaining! I believe either Jayne aka Captain Sparkles and Kristin I hate that picture of me WON!!!! I ll have to watch the video again to see the instant replay... You guys are awesome! As always, stay sparkly... - Jami 8
