1 REPORT By Continental Cycling Center Shuzenji Continental Cycling Center Shuzenji (CCC Shuzenji) held 2016 Second Training Camp at CCC Shuzenji, accepted and trained cyclists in Asia area who recommended by their National Federation. 1. Purpose We should promote of cultivation and turning out of flourished athletes at world-wide events in the future from this camp as Asian cycling training center under the World Cycling Center (WCC) concept propounded by Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). In this time, we must care rider s condition and prevent over training by training program of suitable age and level, because almost participants are very young from 16 to 18 ages, and we program to train them by basic program for physical and skill. Also, Japanese high school and university students (16 to 21 years old) and 2 para cyclists who are recommended by Japan Para Cycling Federation (C2; 20 and 22 years old) join us, so we program about good international exchange each them. 2. Period From 2 th Nov. (Wed.) to 15 th Nov. (Tue.) 2016 Note) Japanese participants joined us by each their schedule. 3. Facilities Izu Velodrome (Indoor wooden 250m track), 333m track, Weight training gym, Cyctel (accommodation), Restaurant in our center (lunch), office/conference and meeting room (in velodrome)

Items Road bike, disk wheels (front and rear), spare wheels (front and rear), transceivers, national flags, stop watches, digital camera and movies, blankets, vehicles (ban,2t truck), compressor, heart rate monitor, lap top, printer, 1/1000 electric time keeping system, starting block, count down timer, rollers, office function, others (equipments, spare parts and so on) 7. Substance of training (As appendix program) The oldest participant was 26 years in this camp, but mainly junior category from 16 to 18 years old. Also Japanese riders are high school students without one participant. Regarding para cyclists also don t have enough experience for cycling. So, we trained them by all same program about basic and increasing for fast riding ability. And para cyclists could joined us during all days. But Japanese riders needed to arrange their school schedule and so on, so they joined us from 2 to 6 days. There is 12 days for training, we put on recovery day in the middle of period, so first half is 5 days, and end of half is 6days. In the first half, we programmed capacity training with low load (gear ratio) for increasing basic physical ability, and we trained them by power training program for increasing output of muscular power in the end of half. Also we programmed about weight training one session of each first and end of half. At the first session, we programmed it for muscular hypertrophy and second session was for increasing of maximum muscular power. It was no problem riding ability about participants, but SIN and Japanese high school students were first experience for 250m wooden track, so we programmed they always followed other participants at lap warming up for safety. On the 2 nd day, we did watt bike and bench machine test for measuring their power in Japan Keirin School. We also explained the how to read the result and so on so that they could understand and feed-back by themselves. The capacity training in the first half was low load but it was high volume, so riders were very tired. Some riders could not clean-up the fatigue by the end of half, so we always checked about their up-down of heart rate at just before waking up and re-arranged the training program suitable their body condition. We made take a rest about judged over training rider positively. In 2 sessions from day 4 in the end of half, we directed to use disk wheel and nearest competitive gear ratio for practical training. In the last 2 sessions, we did time trial by electric time keeping system and starting block as competition. It was hard for riders to record own best, because they were very tired by our hard training. But some riders and events were first trying with the system, so we hope to set up the index for their growing and training for the future. 8. Effect of training Regarding effect of training, we would like to assess each by country by the following. 1 China (Shang-hai) 2 junior riders joined us. One of them has new-record in China for junior s 200m flying time trial. Both of them are high level short distance riders. They also very honesty and try to do their best every time. They were leaders for all participants and good sample. Regarding weight training, we seemed their muscular output power is high, so their training intensity is higher than other riders. But we heard they always do training with high (heavy) ratio in China. So we could seem that s capacity training became a good opportunity and experience about high volume with low ratio for them in this time.

3 2 Thailand A male and a female junior riders joined us in this time. Female rider has experience to take part in our 2015 mobile training camp in Bangkok Thailand, so this is 2 nd time for her. Both of them are blitheness, cheerful and frank personality, but they could concentrate on training. And they did all our program completely, but they were very tired. Especially, female rider has a good potentiality as same a male rider, we hope she become a representative athlete of Thailand in the future. 3 Singapore Elite male rider joined us in this time from SIN. He is 26 years old and participated in this camp alone. He was sick just before to come to Japan, so he joined us from day 3. He doesn t have any experience for track cycling, it was second time for him in this time, too. Firstly, we program for him always follow to other riders at warming up and standing start training so that he could get acclimated 250m wooden track. And we program it return and return for his basic training method and practice. He also doesn t have only high performance, but also training theory, he deeply understood about pedaling skill, riding form and periodization through interpret from English to Chinese language for Shang-hai riders. Because he can speak English, Chinese and a little bit Japanese. He said his most important task is standing start, so we directed to him focused on standing start. His start is growing up day by day and maybe get a good feeling by himself. 9. Our responses in this camp and tasks ahead Each participants were bit nervous at the first stage. But they always were together, training, life in the 2 weeks, they opened up each them by little and little. They also settled our training flow and live in fulfilling life of cycling training. But our high volume program damaged to our participants. Its damage was individual difference by each rider. Especially, Shang-hai 2 riders tried to their best every dash from fist stage in this camp, so their heart rate did not recovery soon in the end of half due to fatigue. So, we set up to volume down their training program with check their heart rate in every morning. We volume down their training program in 2 sessions, and returned to normal program when we could check recovery of their heart rate. All riders in this time are very honesty and try to do their best every time, so we volume down the program than planning so that it could prevent over training. But the quality of every training for them, we seemed so hard for riders, therefore it needed to correct judge to change the variable number of training. There are a lot of the situation. In the future, we have to check the condition of riders and arrange to change the program due to these situations. And we will try to find innovative program for effect of training and safety for riders. 10. 5 8. 使用備品ロードバイク ディスクホイール ( 前後輪 ) スペア車輪 無線機 国旗 ストップウォッチ デジタルカメラ 毛布 車両 ( 振興車 2 トントラック ) コンプレッサー 心拍計 パソコン プリンター 1/1000 電気計時システム スターティングブロック カウントダウンタイマーシステム ローラー 事務所機能一式 その他 ( 工具 ギア等 ) 9. トレーニング内容 ( プログラムについては別添参照 ) 今回の参加者は 最年長が 26 才であったものの 16 才 ~18 才のジュニアカテゴリーの選手が中心であった 日本人選手も 1 名を除き高校生であり パラサイクリング選手 2 名もエリート選手ではあるが競技歴は浅いため 全員が同じトレーニングプログラムで基本的な走力を養うトレーニングを行った なお パラサイクリング選手は全日 日本人選手は各自学校との調整を要し 入れ替わりでそれぞれ 2 日 ~6 日間の参加となった 全 12 日間のトレーニングのうち リカバリー 1 日を挟んだ前半 5 日間 後半 6 日間とした 前半は基礎的な体力の向上を目的とした低負荷でのキャパシティートレーニング 後半は筋出力能の向上を目的としたパワー系トレーニングを行った また 前後半それぞれ 1 回ずつ ウエイトトレーニングを実施した こちらも筋肥大を目的としたトレーニング 最大筋力の向上を目的としたトレーニングに分けて実施した 参加選手の走力は特に問題なかったが 3 日目より参加したシンガポールの選手および日本人高校生の選手は屋内 250m の木製走路に慣れていないため 周回練習も他国選手にフォローさせるなど安全面を優先して行った 2 日目には日本競輪学校においてワットバイクおよび台上走行試験装置を用いたパワー測定を実施した 測定結果は選手自身が理解し トレーニングにフィードバックできるよう パワー値の読み取り方などの説明を実施した 前半のキャパシティートレーニングは低負荷とはいえボリュームが多く 選手たちの疲労感は大きかった リカバリー後の後半にも疲労が抜けない選手おり 起床時の心拍数および体重の増減などを参考にしながらトレーニングのボリュームを調整した オーバートレーニング気味の選手には トレーニングの目的 疲労具合を顧みて判断したことを説明し 積極的にレストを取らせた 後半 4 日目からの 2 セッションはディスクホイールを使用し ギヤレシオも大会時のものに近い状態で実践的なトレーニングを行った ラスト 2 セッションでは電子計時を使用し 大会時と同じようにタイム計測を行った キャンプ終盤の疲労がピークに達する中で自己ベストを出すことは難しかったが 初めて計測する種目もあったようなので 今後のトレーニングの指標として利用してほしい 10. トレーニング効果トレーニング効果に関して 以下のとおり国別に評価をしていくこととする 1 中国 ( 上海 ) ジュニア男子選手 2 名が参加した 彼らのうち 1 人は 200 メートルタイムトライアルにおいて中国のジュニア記録を持っており 2 名ともレベルの高い短距離選手であった 練習態度も非常にまじめであり 日本人を含め 10 名以上となるトレーニング時にも率先してリーダーシップを発揮するなど 他の選手の見本となる場面も多くみられた ウエイトトレーニングを始めとする基礎トレーニングも本国でしっかり積んできたのか 筋出力能が高いことから 他選手と比較するとトレーニング強度はより高いものとなった しかし やはり普段はハイギヤを用いた高負荷練習が多いとのことで 本数の多い低負荷のキャパシティートレーニングの実施は良い経験となったことと思慮される 2 タイ王国ジュニア男子選手 1 名 ジュニア女子選手 1 名が参加した 女子選手は 2015 年の移動サブセンターへの参加経験があり 今回は 2 回目の CCC 修善寺キャンプへの参加であった 2 選手とも明るく気さくではあるが トレーニング時にはしっかりと集中して取り組む姿勢も見られ かなり疲労も来ていたようであったが全メニューを

6 こなしていた 特に女子選手は男子選手に劣らない走力を持っており このまま育成を継続することで タイを代表するような良い選手になる期待が持てる印象であった 3 シンガポール 26 才のエリート男子選手 1 名 単身での参加であった 来日直前の体調不良の影響で 3 日目からの参加となった トラック競技の経験はほとんどなく バンクの走行自体も今回が 2 度目であった まずは 250m 走路に慣れるため ウォーミングアップやフライングスタートでは他選手へのフォローを繰り返し実施させ 基礎トレーニング方法の習得を目的として指導に当たった 競技力の向上のみならずトレーニング理論にも興味があり ペダリングスキルやフォーム ピリオダイゼーションの講義では上海チームへの通訳をしながら自身も理解を深めたようであった 自身の課題と言っていたスタンディングスタートにおいては 日毎に上達していき 手ごたえもあったように見えた 4 日本高校生 4 名 ( ジュニア男子選手 1 名 ジュニア女子選手 3 名 ) 大学生 1 名 ( エリート女子選手 ) の参加であった 各自が通学する学校との調整を要し 週末 1 日のみ参加可能の選手もいれば 最大 6 日間参加の選手もおり それぞれ初日が別日となるイレギュラーなプログラム対応となった トラック競技の経験も様々であるが 比較的初心者であるため このキャンプで経験する基礎トレーニングの反復は非常に有益なものであったと思慮される 特に 心拍計を使ったトレーニングの代替例や 彼らが普段のトレーニングでも実践できるよう指導したローラートレーニングの方法などは 座学のトレーニング理論と併せて指導したことにより さらに理解が深まったことと思慮される また 日本パラサイクリング連盟からの推薦を受け 2 名のパラサイクリング選手も全日程のトレーニングを共にした 彼らは片足で走行する C2 クラスの選手であり 他選手たちと同じトレーニングをこなすのは相当な労力であったと考えられる しかし 最終日まで共に声を掛け合いながらトレーニングに励む姿は 他の選手たちにとっても良い刺激となっていた こういった経験は 今後パラサイクリングの世界で日本を背負って活躍する彼らにとって 大きな成長の一助となったと思われる このように 日本人選手にとってはアジア各国の選手とスポーツを通じて交流できる貴重な機会となる一方 彼らがローカルライダーとして各国間のクッションとなり 円滑なコミュニケーションが実現できたことも事実である 11. 今回の対応及び今後の課題来日してから序盤は各国とも少し緊張が見られた しかし トレーニングから食事まで共にする仲間と日を追うごとに打ち解け 我々のトレーニングフローにも慣れてくると メリハリのあるトレーニング生活が送れていた しかし ハイボリュームのプログラムが選手に与えるダメージには個人差があり 特に前半のトレーニングから連日力を出し切るような走りを見せていた上海の選手は リカバリーを挟んだ後半に思うような疲労回復が望めなかった 起床時の心拍数や体重から判断し 2 セッションほどボリュームを落とし 回復後に通常メニューへ戻した 今回の参加選手は皆トレーニングに臨む姿勢が素晴らしく その分疲労度も大きかったため 後半のプログラムも当初の予定からボリュームダウンした それでも 1 回あたりのトレーニングの質は高く 選手にとっても辛いものであったと思うが 指導者にとっても選手の様子を見ながらその都度トレーニング変数を変更するという判断力の求められる場面も多くあった 今後も 日毎に変化する選手のコンディションを反映させ トレーニング効果と安全性を第一に考えたプログラムを実施できるよう創意工夫に努めたい 12. 参加した感想 意見交換等ディスカッションの内容別添 トレーニングキャンプに関する感想アンケート による ( 文責 : 沼部早紀子 )

I also learned pedaling, free weight training, training by heart rate and roller training. Especially, the measurement in Japan Keirin School and picture were very useful for my level up.
