7 February WIBA Membership Meeting Featured Speaker Amy Ruhl Porter Hay Insurance Amy Ruhl, Porter Hay Insurance, was our featured speaker for the February WIBA Membership Meeting. She spoke about her insurance agency and introduced herself. Porter Hay Insurance haws several locations now that they have been growing and expanding; Galesburg, Galva, Monmouth, Alexis, Joy, Oquawka, & Andalusia. Most of the locations are located with a bank and are a subsidiary of the bank. They provide Home, Auto, Farm, Health, Commercial, and Life insurance. Health insurance offered is individual and group insurance. Amy is fulltime and works out of the Galva office and sometimes in Moline. She specializes in commercial line, contractual liability, and risk transfer. She looks over contracts to see how it will affect someone s coverage. Sometimes contracts might require a financial burden greater than the income for that. Amy is married to Ryan Ruhl who works at John Deere and they have 3 children who are 20, 18, &12. She is a Girl Scout Leader and a 4H Clover Leader in Galva. They raise cows and sheep. Amy is also the Galva Rotary President. She enjoys traveling, cooking, collecting cookbooks, reading, and working out in Spin Class or Zumba. Page 7
