2 WEEKLY NOTICES AND REMINDERS CONGRATULATIONS We would like to Congratulate Caitlin (Miss Kneebone) Latham and Koa on the super exciting news of their new arrival due early SHARING ASSEMBLY Rooms 2, 4, 8 will be sharing at Assembly on Monday 26th November 1.45pm. All Welcome. DRILLS FIRE, EARTHQUAKE, LOCKDOWN Drills will be happening over the next few weeks, please talk to your children about your family CAMP 2019 FUNDRAISER TWILIGHT MARKET on 6th December, Helpers needed: food stall holders, makers and servers, elective helpers on Friday, making things to sell out our market, raffle donations, sponsors and more. If you can help in any way, please let Briar or Michelle know CAMP Letters and permission slips went home with all year 4 & 5 students yesterday for the 2019 senior camp. The cost is $150. You can pay this off at $5 or $10 a week if you would like. Please make Automatic payments and Direct credits to EAST SCHOOL TRIATHLON Our annual school triathlon is being held at school in Week 9 Friday 14th December. We will be needing some lovely parent helpers to help with running the event. Please see Kim if you can help. WAIHI SANTA PARADE DEC 8 Permissions slips went home last week for our walking Santa Parade Float. Children will not a able to take part without written consent. Please return to the office asap. More info to follow. PIWAKAWAKA END OF YEAR TRIP DEC 12 Our Piwakawaka children (rooms 5,6,7,8 & 9) have brought home another letter about an exciting end of year trip - please make sure you return the permission, book the date and let us know if you can help! The cost is $6 per child and $6 per adult attending. KAPAHAKA END OF YEAR TRIP DEC 13 Forms went home earlier last this week for the Kapahaka trip. Please return the permission part to school with the $5 koha asap. YEAR 6 END OF YEAR TRIP WAIMARINO- DEC 19 Information letters have gone home with our amazing Year 6 students. The cost of the trip is $15 each and if a wetsuit is required, these can be hired from Waimarino for an extra $5. Please return your permission slip along with payment to the office. BEST START PROGRAMME FOR NEW ENTRANTS If your New Entrant child has enrolled this term, or will be enrolling this term, please contact Briar about securing your place in our awesome workshops. Cost $100 for the week. Each child will receive a basketball, t- shirt and the most fun you can have on a basketball court. Shoes MUST be worn, No barefeet allowed. Pee Wee, age 5 10 beginner skill level. 9-11am. Hot Shot, ages 8-12 beginner skill level 9-11am. Warriors, age Intermediate skill level.11am-1pm. Acting Out School of Drama is offering a one hour clowning workshop on December the 1st at Waihi College pavilion. Children are invited to attend the workshop in costume as a clown then will learn basic clowning and street theatre performance skills. The cost is $12. Following the workshop children will be given the opportunity to use their new skills by participating in the Waihi Santa parade in a supervised walking float. HOLIDAYS Looking for something for your child/ren to do aged 8-12 years old next school holidays. Kauaeranga Valley Christian Camp is running a School Holiday programme from Sunday the 6th to Thursday 10th of January The theme is Noah's Ark. Only $160 per child for 5 days and 4 nights!
